Chapter 307 - Chapter 307 Chapter 263 Confusing Demon Take Your Path

Chapter 307: Chapter 263: Confusing Demon, Take Your Path Chapter 307: Chapter 263: Confusing Demon, Take Your Path “Sonia has already become a Two-winged Mage?”

“Entered the Time Continent even before graduating?!”

“She truly is our ‘Orange Dancer’!”

Compared to Sword Flower University’s jubilation, the faces over at Trajectory University looked quite ugly. Losing to Skor was one thing–it was just a friendly match, after all–but the real issue was Reonie’s recent rise to a Two-winged Mage. This signified that her strength would grow rapidly in the coming days, and by the time the high school league started, the ‘Orange Dancer’ might become an insurmountable wall for Trajectory University.

After the ‘Spinning Sakura Saint’ and ‘Hidden Hand Sword Saint’ finished their commentary, the joy of the Sword Flower team members faded significantly, and they couldn’t help but look towards Sonia.

Now that Reonie had won, the score had become 2:2. The chief battle had turned into match point, and all the pressure had shifted onto Sonia.

In fact, the news of Reonie’s ascension to a Two-winged Mage was even more important than the friendly match. But if Sonia lost next, all the jealousy, discontent, and malice within the school towards her would erupt without restraint.

The red-haired Sword Maiden was simply too talented–Reonie had spent two years to gain her current fame, while Sonia had done it in just a month. Too many people wanted to see her take a harsh fall. The previous news about Sonia’s death in the Void Realm couldn’t sate the appetite of those with ill-will; those hidden behind the veil hoped for Sonia to face a thorough defeat, to prove that so-called talent was just as mediocre as they were.

Even among the competition team members, there were quite a few with these thoughts.

Or rather, they were the most entitled to jealousy–why should a mere freshman who had just arrived instantly become the lead of the competition team?

Just because she was Professor Trozan’s disciple, had tied in a battle with the ‘Orange Dancer,’ and unfolded her ‘Silver Full Wings’ all within a month?

But if I became Professor Trozan’s disciple, maybe I could accomplish all that too!

What red-haired Sword Maiden? She’s just a fortuitous Village Girl who was favored by the professor and showered with resources!

“Sonia.”

Reonie strolled over casually. She was wearing a black leather vest with straps knotted below her bust, outlining her ample cleavage, her hands in long rune gloves, matching with tight shorts and black silk stockings, giving off a light and feral look. As a War Dress, her attire wasn’t flashy, but it unexpectedly fit her personality.

“Sister, congratulations.”

“The next one’s you,” Reonie said carelessly, sitting beside her and patting her shoulder. “Go show all those who look down on you.”

Sonia naturally understood her senior’s meaning.

She had long felt the covert malice from the other team members, or rather, when she had walked out of the dormitory wearing her War Dress, headed to meet Professor Trozan at the school gates, the unadorned malice was like a flock of rotten crows, stinking many times worse than farmyard manure, and hard for a Village Girl to miss.

Too many people hoped to see her take a spectacular fall.

Sonia was already accustomed to such gazes. When she was studying for her exams in the village, the villagers’ stares were just as piercing; their eyes as small as mice, their malice as red.

It seems, city mice are no different from village mice.

“Sonia.”

Professor Trozan called her nonchalantly from the side.

Sonia glanced at her mentor and suddenly asked, “What time is it now?”

“12:19 PM,” Trozan looked up at the Starry Sky. “The starlight is just right.”

“What a beautiful day.” Sonia stood up, “I’ll be back shortly.”

“I never disappoint when it comes to disappointing people.”

“And now for the highly anticipated battle between the leads of both schools!” the host proclaimed with a fervent voice. “Trajectory’s chief, Tida Yarnzhent, versus Sword Flower’s chief, Sonia Sevi!”

Sonia lightly stepped forward, leaping onto the stage, her hand resting on the hilt of her wooden sword.

Although the school had provided her with a real sword, she was still accustomed to using a wooden one in reality–after all, the wooden sword given by the Observer was as sharp as a real one.

Quietly, “Grinding Sword for Ten Years” had been activated.

At the same time, her opponent also entered the scene. Unlike her, the chief of Trajectory University climbed the stairs in a very ordinary fashion, even stumbling a little and nearly falling.

She was a petite girl at one meter fifty, wearing battle attire like that of a princess’s children’s wear, having to tilt her head back just to make eye contact with Sonia. She had large eyes, pink curly hair, a bow tied on her head, and was hugging a teddy bear in her arms. Yet, the impression she gave was strange; she seemed too old to be called a little girl yet was too young to be considered a teenager, existing in a delicate overlapping state.

“Sonia sister, you’re so pretty!” Tida chirped crisply.

“No, I should be younger than you, sister Tida,” Sonia smiled. “I’m just a first-year, and you seem to be… a third-year, right?”

Tida’s figure froze for a moment, then she conjured a smile, “Nope, Tida is forever fourteen years old, so everyone is my big brother or sister ~”

“But you’re actually twenty-one this year, aren’t you?”

Tida’s smile slowly faded, and a malice that swelled up instantaneously like a volcanic eruption sent Sonia’s hair flying.

“Hasn’t anyone told you that discussing a girl’s age is very impolite?”

The teddy bear in her arms emitted sizzling arcs of Miracle, and with a burst of violently swirling air, a five-meter-tall black bear stood erect on the earth with Tida sitting on its shoulder.

“It’s not too late to apologize to your little sister now, Sonia sister,” Tida said with a smile.

This was Tida Yarzhent, the newly risen chief of Trajectory University!

An alchemist whose fame rose in last year’s high school competition, hailed as the ‘Alchemy Saint Seed’, her signature move was the alchemy giant bear she had personally crafted; usually carried in the form of a teddy bear but could instantly transform into a terrifying monster with extremely high Resistance in battle!

It was said that the Academy of Truth had once invited her to join; though there were many Mages of similar Combat Power, only Tida alone, at the same age, possessed such power within the Alchemy Faction!

“No need, sister Tida, I’m still going through a rebellious phase.”

Sonia grasped her sword hilt and drew it in an Iaido stance, showing not the slightest sign of stage fright. Instead, her Battle Intent soared high, and her pale red eyes flashed with an arc of fervid light!

The atmosphere was tense and electric, and the host wisely skipped the countdown, leaving the stage entirely to the two chiefs.

Just as the battle was about to erupt, Sonia suddenly heard the sound of pages turning.

Time seemed to freeze at that moment, and when Sonia blinked, she found that the world had changed.

The stage of Flash Track Hall was no longer before her; she had suddenly arrived at a peculiar plain. In the distance, the sky flowed with Magma, and the fields near her were a beautiful expanse, exquisitely purple, with a subtle mist lingering in the air.

This environment seemed familiar, like she had seen it somewhere–

“Why aren’t you moving? You wouldn’t be scared, would you?”

Sonia turned her head and saw a strikingly seductive beauty appearing before her.

She wore high heels and Silk Stockings, an off-shoulder dress, and the perfect curves pressed against her dress, creating a trap that was difficult to avert one’s gaze from; her makeup was so exquisite that it made Sonia feel inferior.

Despite her innocent and sweet attire, every inch of her skin, every move she made, every glance she gave, seemed so enthralling, as if designed to lead people into sin.

Yet the most peculiar thing was the fluffy pink fur around her forearms, like armlets.

As Sonia was observing this stranger, she realized she was speaking–

Her voice was resonant, chilling, sending shivers down the spine.

“Enchantress, go your way.”
