Madam Wants To Divorce Her Second Husband -
Chapter 122
Chapter 122: Chapter 122
Cindy couldn’t believe that she had been kicked out of the company that Winter owned. She stomped her feet as she walked out of the elevator.
Before she left the lobby, she turned her head at the receptionist who was suddenly replaced with a man. She was surprised but didn’t think too much of it as she just intended to return the access card.
"Here! I don’t need this anymore!" Cindy yelled as she slammed the access card at the receptionist counter.
The male receptionist was shocked by the sudden hostility from this scantily clad young woman. He didn’t know who she was, after all, he was just covering for the receptionist desk after the previous receptionist, Isabella, suddenly resigned this morning,
He took the access card and thanked her, but Cindy found the new receptionist to be too formal and nonchalant towards her, and it ruined her already low mood.
"Do you know who I am? I am Winter Saenz’s sister! You should smile more to me at least!"
"M-my apologies, Miss. But I’m new here, so I don’t know anyone yet," the male receptionist said.
Cindy rolled her eyes as she knew that she had no use in bullying this man. She wanted to bully Winter, or Sebastian instead, because they were the ones who did her wrong.
She stomped her feet out of the lobby and quickly took her phone out to call the most important person in her life: her future mother-in-law!
As Cindy waited for her Uber, she called Camilla repeatedly, only for none of her calls to be answered. She clicked her tongue and complained, "What is she doing now? Doesn’t she realize there’s nothing more urgent than this?"
It wasn’t until her sixth call and she was already in her Uber that Camilla finally picked it up.
—
"What?"
Camilla didn’t sound nice, which was a sign that she also had a problem on her own, but it didn’t stop Cindy from ranting.
"Mother-in-law~ Oh, you finally picked up!" Cindy said. "Do you know that I just got fired by that bitch, Winter Saenz! I can’t believe that she told me to leave after everything I’ve done for her!"
Camilla was already in a horrible mood right now when she got the news that Winter had found out about her moles. She was surprised when everyone was forced to resign today.
She tried to contact one of her moles, at least, but none of them picked up. So, she ought to hunt them since they still had debts to her.
But now, she got another bad news with this woman, Cindy Hazard, who got fired all of a sudden.
Her mind was still trying to process everything when Cindy began rattling, "She didn’t tell me what I did wrong, she just told me to pack up, can you believe that? Oh, you should also know that your son, Sebastian Saenz, was kneeling in front of her. It’s so weird to see such a handsome and mighty man bow down in front of a bitch like Winter!"
"WHAT?!" Camilla’s heartbeat raced instantly. "He kneeled in front of her?!"
"Yes! Ugh, thinking about it makes me want to barf!" Cindy yelled in excitement as she finally got a response from her. "Look, I still haven’t given up on him. I still believe that Sebastian is being manipulated by Winter. That’s why, mother-in-law, you need to do something before Winter gets a hold of him completely!"
"And don’t worry about me. I’m very kind and forgiving, so I will give him a second chance as long as he kneels in front of me instead," Cindy said. She grinned as she thought that she had this in the bag. As long as she could tell Camilla to do everything for her, then Sebastian would be within reach!
Camilla gritted her teeth.
She only acted nice in front of Cindy Hazard because she thought Cindy could be of use while she stayed near Sebastian.
But now that Cindy had no function anymore, there was no point in trying to be nice to her.
Camilla could just hang up the call and pretend that the woman never existed. But she could squeeze the hell out of this woman to show Winter that Camilla was still the one on top.
Camilla smirked as she had an amazing idea to scare Winter off until she bowed down, "Oh my, I’m so sorry for what happened, I will scold Sebastian for ignoring you. But..."
"But what?"
"Do you know what makes him into Winter so much?" Camilla asked.
"I-I don’t know. Maybe he’s just blind!"
"Well, he’s not blind. But he is interested in a woman who’s ruthless," Camilla said lightly as if it was just fun trivia. "Like me. He idolizes me so much as his mother, and I am far more ruthless than you may think. I’m sure that he’s into Winter because she is cruel and evil."
"Cruel and evil..." Cindy frowned. She had never been cruel or evil to anyone. "Why would he be interested in someone like that? I’m kind and beautiful, so he should like me more, right?"
Camilla couldn’t help rolling her eyes. But she kept that sweet voice for Cindy and said, "Well, a ruthless woman means she is suitable in this cruel world. Do you think Sebastian can be a CEO by giving flowers to the higher-ups? So, he wants someone who’s an equal to him. I don’t think he will want you, unless..."
"Unless what?"
"Unless you show him that you can be as ruthless," Camilla said gently, like a mother teaching her daughter. "That’s the only way if you want to have a chance to have his heart."
Cindy hesitated for a moment, but when faced with the idea of marrying a powerful man like Sebastian, she realized that she had to make a sacrifice.
"T-then, what should I do? I don’t know how to be cruel or evil or ruthless! I’ve been a very obedient sister and daughter to my family in my whole life!"
’Heh, it’s so easy. It makes me wonder if Winter doesn’t realize how much of an idiot her sister is. Or maybe she knows, she just doesn’t care about her,’ Camilla thought. ’Well, now I will make sure she will care once this little sister wreaks havoc in her family.’
"I’m not sure what you can do to show that you’re cruel towards my son. But since it’s your first time, why don’t you start by showing Winter that you are a capable woman as well? Don’t you have a mother at home?"
"My mother?" Cindy quickly conjured the image of her old mother, Gina, in her head.
Gina was an old and sickly woman. It wouldn’t be difficult to fight her. But Cindy was so kind and generous that she took care of her while Winter whored around, getting all the gold while she rotted in their home being their mother’s caregiver.
"Y-yeah, I do. But she is so old and brittle. She’s also sickly, that’s why I have to take care of her," Cindy said as she doubted that Gian would be of any use.
"That’s perfect. Don’t you feel angry that you have to take care of that old lady? I’m sure that old lady likes Winter more than you anyway," Camilla hit Cindy right at her sour spot. It was just a wild guess, but knowing how disillusioned and jealous she was towards Winter, Camilla simply connected the dots. "So, if you want to show that you are capable of cruelty without harming innocent people, why don’t you do it to your old mother instead? I’m sure she has wronged you a lot by keeping on defending Winter, right? A little revenge against her and Winter wouldn’t be too bad."
Cindy went quiet for a while as she seemed to be seriously considering it, but Camilla wasn’t worried that Cindy would refuse her offer.
She had vast experience dealing with people as a loan shark, and she knew that Cindy was the most vulnerable type who could easily do reckless things as long as it would benefit her.
As a loan shark, Camilla preyed on these types of people, the desperate and the reckless.
Thus, she waited in silence until Cindy said, "I will do it. But I don’t think I can kill her. She’s still my mother, after all."
"That’s up to you. But that’s a sign of weakness."
"Weakness?"
"Pity is a sign of weakness. The first rule of being a capable and ruthless woman is to cut ties with those who would only slow you down. You’ve been tied as your sickly mother’s caregiver for so long, and nobody knows how long she will last before she passes. If I were you, I’d just end her immediately, so I can show Sebastian that I will not be a burden for him. That’s the kind of woman Sebastian wants."
"In the end, it’s all up to you. I’m just giving you hints because I genuinely see you as my future daughter-in-law."
