Chapter 88: Chapter 88: You’re a Dog, So Why Are You Howling Like a Wolf?
"Bang!"
After a loud noise, the urgent voice of the servants followed.
"Sweet Heart! Don’t go in—"
Shi Yu was pressing down on Shen Cheng, and before the atmosphere could become more intimate, it was disrupted by the sudden intrusion of an unwelcome guest.
Pulling away from the tempting lips, he suddenly leaped off the bed, his cold eyes shooting a dangerous glare.
The uninvited guest that burst in had strong muscles, well-developed and symmetrical bones, and a massive head.
Its sturdy paws secured a stance on the glossy floor, its hindquarters slightly raised above its back, its body covered with dense, long fur.
It was one of the world’s largest and most ferocious dogs, the Caucasian Shepherd, a breed even larger than the Tibetan Mastiff.
This dog was extremely fierce, but highly loyal to its master, enjoyed closeness with its owner, and rejected outsiders.
"Sweet Heart?"
The voice filled with rage revealed Shi Yu’s anger.
Indeed, this reckless Caucasian was Shi Yu’s beloved dog, Sweet Heart.
"Sweet Heart—"
The servants, with panicked expressions, chased after it and, feeling the intense murderous aura in the air, all bowed their heads.
"Young Master, we have no idea what happened—Sweet Heart suddenly burst in and we couldn’t stop her."
Thinking about the high probability of having to accompany Sweet Heart to sleep at the gate again tonight, the servants felt completely disheartened, as they reached out to grab the leash around Sweet Heart’s neck, "Sweet Heart, come, let’s go outside..."
When faced with this ferocious giant dog, the servants were always scared out of their wits.
Fearing a careless act might displease it, and then being viciously torn to shreds and swallowed into its stomach.
"Awooo!"
Sweet Heart let out a haughty howl, clearly having no intention of leaving.
"Sweet Heart, be good, come on, go outside for some meat..."
Unable to threateningly coerce, they could only attempt to lure with treats.
Whether it was tired of meat or not, Sweet Heart ignored their words completely.
The servants wiped off cold sweat, utterly at a loss with the giant dog.
"Awu—!"
Sweet Heart suddenly raised its head to howl, then charged towards the bed with murderous intent, its sharp teeth seized the thin silk quilt, and with a strong tug, pulled it off to the ground.
This sudden move was clearly aimed at the person on the bed.
Frightened, all the servants went pale, almost collapsing to their knees.
Generally, ordinary people would be petrified, if not scared to death, at the sight of such a ferocious giant dog showing hostility and potentially ready to attack.
Only Shen Cheng looked at it indifferently, "You’re just a dog, what are you doing howling like a wolf."
Upon hearing these words, the servants could only feel utterly ashamed.
Shi Yu, who had just been furious over the spoiled moment, now unexpectedly let Sweet Heart have its way due to Shen Cheng’s single remark, standing by as an observer.
"Awoo!—Woo!"
Calling Sweet Heart a dog apparently wasn’t satisfying to it—lifting its head, it howled again.
It was clearly a challenge.
Shen Cheng coldly glanced at it, her lips curling up, "Want to bite me?"
"Awoo! Awoo!"
Sweet Heart, as if answering her question, growled twice, then bowed its head to grab the quilt on the floor, its sharp teeth tearing it in two with a tug.
"Awu—"
With a forceful pull, the quilt was shredded to pieces.
The servants felt a growing unease, inching backward step by step, until they reached the door, their palms drenched in cold sweat.
For years, the only other time when Sweet Heart had gotten this angry, besides the uninvited visit by Ye Jin, Shi Yu’s stepmother, was today.
It seemed Sweet Heart was recklessly challenging the Young Madam.
They wondered if the Young Master would skin it alive later!
