Shen Cheng emerged from the bathroom to find Shi Yu dressed neatly and sitting with crossed legs on the sofa in front of the floor-to-ceiling window.

A cigar was pinched between his fingertips, its feeble flame slowly burning, filling up the bedroom with a strong aroma of cigar instantly.

Seeing her, Shi Yu put the half-burnt cigar in the ashtray and stood up, "Get ready, I’m taking you to meet someone."

Shen Cheng, uncurious about whom he planned to introduce her to, directly took the clothes she had prepared the night before from the bedside table, went into the bathroom to change, and only after she came out did she speak, "I have to go to work."

"You can skip work today."

He was watching her, with a smile on his lips that flickered between brightness and shadows, looking devilishly charming.

The moment she heard him call her ’Shen Chengzi,’ Shen Cheng felt a headache, a face ache, a whole body ache, "Mind your own business!"

She pushed him away with her hands and walked over to stand before the floor mirror, rearranging a few strands of hair that had fallen onto her forehead back behind her ear.

Shi Yu enjoyed this fiery side of hers, stepped forward, and circled her waist from behind, blowing a warm breath near her ear ambiguously.

A trace of warmth lingered lightly by her ear, carrying the distinct scent of a man, almost disrupting Shen Cheng’s composure.

Just as she was about to break away from his embrace, she heard a deep and husky voice next to her ear.

"Beautiful."

Shi Yu held her tighter, as if wanting to meld her into his bones.

His eyes were filled with deep affection.

Shen Cheng had to admit that upon hearing those two words, her heart melted.

She curved her lips, turned around, and hooked her arms around Shi Yu’s neck, with every move exuding allure, "Mr. Shi, are you finding it hard to resist me?"

A man provoked by a woman naturally wouldn’t feel too good; his face instantaneously darkened.

Seeing his expression change, Shen Cheng playfully rubbed against him, "Say it!"

"Are you tempting me beyond resistance? Do you even have that capability?"

Shi Yu’s face was somber, his deep eyes filled with dark emotions showing that he was angry.

Shen Cheng furrowed her brows, withdrew her hands, and muttered discontentedly, "No fun!"

As she was turning around, Shi Yu rapidly stepped forward, scooped her up around the waist, startling Shen Cheng who instantly raised her hands to clasp his neck.

Looking at his stern face, she was somewhat annoyed and raised her brows, "What are you doing, Mr. Shi?"

Shi Yu didn’t speak, and without any explanation, he threw her onto the bed.

"Damn—Mhmm!"

Before Shen Cheng could start scolding, his body was already over her, burning like fire.

Such a throw left Shen Cheng’s mind blank.

She stared blankly at Shi Yu pressing down on her, mouth agape in surprise.

What was this man doing?
