Shen Ming used his hand to wipe away the blood at the corner of his mouth and spoke in a lowered voice, "Xiao Hua, hurry and leave, go back and inform Second Uncle."

Seeing her leaving, Shen Cheng stretched out her hand to stop her, "Don’t go! I’m still waiting for your compensation."

Now she thought about it, what was it for back then?

If it was to maintain that family, then why bother?

With that said, she raised her hand and slapped Shen Hua across the face.

Shen Hua was stunned by the slap, staring blankly at her until a searing pain spread from her cheek, at which point she regained her senses and yelled, "What gives you the right to hit people!"

"Because I don’t like the look of you," Shen Cheng laughed lightly, "And I’m not hitting a person, I’m hitting a disgraceful pretender."

Such people, they merely possess a body; their soul and heart are hideously ugly.

"What about me?"

Shen Cheng was smiling, but the smile didn’t reach the bottom of her eyes.

"This is just how far I go!"

But just before her hand came down, Shen Ming was quicker, pulling Shen Hua behind him.

Up close, Shen Ming appeared momentarily stunned by the sight of Shen Cheng, even forgetting the burning pain on his face—

"What’s the matter? Do I look familiar to you?" Shen Cheng said with a smile, as if she had seen through his thoughts.

Shen Ming stared steadily at her.

He thought he was seeing things, mistaking someone for another, but reality told him that wasn’t the case.

That makeup-free yet stunningly beautiful face was all too familiar to him.

Even after six years, he remembered that face clearly.

He never believed in the existence of two identical faces in this world, so there was only one certainty.
