Chapter 126: Chapter 70 About Cohabitation

In the milk tea shop.

Xu Chengyang and Yao Ye quietly listened to everything Su Wan had to say, and for a moment, they didn’t know what to say.

They were surprised by Su Wan’s family background, never having imagined that the seemingly gentle and compliant girl had such an unspeakable family history. Perhaps it was because she had endured so much on her own that she now possessed such strong and composed psychology.

After a while, Xu Chengyang spoke up, "So, that famous pianist Jiang Yun is your mother?"

Su Wan nodded.

Yao Ye was astonished, "I thought that night at Magic, the woman with Lawyer Jiang looked so familiar... I just didn’t expect she’d be your mom..."

Xu Chengyang turned to Su Wan, feeling quite touched, "Now that I think about it, you really do look like her."

Su Wan just smiled.

Xu Chengyang asked again, "By the way, Wanwan, are you planning to reconnect with your mom now?"

Su Wan didn’t hesitate, "She has a family, I won’t disturb them."

Yao Ye said, "Then wouldn’t you have a half-brother?"

Su Wan was stunned, seemingly just realizing it at that moment.

Xu Chengyang suddenly recalled something and sighed, "The Jiang Family, huh? I heard from my dad that they’re not easy to deal with, especially Old Man Jiang. He’s quite arbitrary."

Xu Chengyang is a second-generation rich kid. Her family is well-recognized in their hometown, well-off, and she’s their only daughter who has been pampered all her life. She never misses attending banquets or dinner parties.

About three years ago, when Xu Chengyang first came to Yanchuan for college, her parents happened to come to Yanchuan for a big business deal, so as usual, she tagged along. The banquet was hosted by the Jiang Family. The elder of the Jiang Family sat at the head of the table with a stern face that was intimidating.

"Later, when the banquet was about to end, as I was leaving with my parents, a man in a suit suddenly came in and whispered something to Old Man Jiang. It almost made Old Man Jiang flip the table in anger, and he immediately gave an order for someone to be confined," Xu Chengyang said, sipping on her milk tea, "And later I heard at another party that it was because Old Man Jiang found out his grandson, just graduated from college, was often seen with a young teenage girl, accused of seducing a minor, damaging the family’s reputation, and got promptly sent to the United States the next day."

Su Wan stayed silent, picking at the sticker on her milk tea cup, suddenly having some understanding of why her mother had to leave back then.

Xu Chengyang lowered her voice, "Looking at it now, that grandson of Old Man Jiang’s should be Lawyer Jiang."

Yao Ye was shocked, "No way? Seducing a minor? With Lawyer Jiang’s looks, does he need to..."

Xu Chengyang chimed in, "Yeah, just looking at his face, I also believe Lawyer Jiang is a decent person."

Yao Ye scoffed, "Superficial."

Su Wan was thoughtful, though Jiang Zhiyan always appeared carefree and unconstrained, it was hard for her to believe he would seduce a minor.

The three chatted for over an hour, just as Fu Weiheng was finishing up his dinner party, since he had come by car and didn’t drink. After confirming Su Wan’s location over the phone, he drove over to pick them up.

The car stopped in front of the dorm building, Xu Chengyang and Yao Ye opened the car door and got out from the back seat. Su Wan glanced at Fu Weiheng, hesitated for a moment, and reached out to open the car door, but Xu Chengyang raised her voice and said, "God Wanwan, wait here for us for a bit!"

Su Wan was puzzled, turning to look at Fu Weiheng, seeing him nod slightly at Xu Chengyang, as if he already knew.

Su Wan was even more baffled, "What’s up?"

Fu Weiheng smiled, "Secret."

Su Wan: "..."

In less than ten minutes, Xu Chengyang and Yao Ye came staggering out of the dorm building, one dragging a big suitcase and the other carrying a luggage bag.

Su Wan took a look and felt that the suitcase looked... kind of familiar?

By this time, Fu Weiheng had already opened the car door, walked up a few steps to take over the suitcase and luggage bag from Xu Chengyang and Yao Ye, then pulled out two long strip tickets from the inner pocket of his coat, exchanging them with Xu Chengyang’s open palm as if it was a transaction.

Only then did Su Wan realize, wasn’t that her suitcase!

When she got out of the car and walked over to Xu Chengyang, she saw Mr. Xu beaming, holding up the two tickets Fu Weiheng had just handed over, laughing joyfully.

She took a closer look and saw a few words printed on the ticket: "H&Y Symphony Orchestra, VIP Seat."
