Chapter 275: The Final Volume of I am Liuli Chapter 34 Forgetting Three Lives (Part 4)

Halfway there, Xuanji suddenly shouted in alarm and turned to run back. Yu Sifeng, unaware of what had happened, had no choice but to anxiously follow behind. Upon reaching the entrance of the temple, the Divine Generals seeing them return, immediately furrowed their brows and raised their weapons, clearly not intending to let them in again.

Xuanji said, "There is still something I forgot to ask the Heavenly Emperor, please let me in."

None of the Divine Generals paid any attention to her. She had burned the picturesque Kunlun Mountain, and likely, Heaven above had suffered greatly too. Moreover, with Emperor Bai’s inexplicable death, were it not for the Heavenly Emperor’s explicit orders, they would have long since rushed up and chopped the two into minced meat.

Xuanji pleaded urgently, "Let me enter! I really need to ask him something!"

As soon as she finished speaking, the temple door creaked open slightly, and an attendant emerged slowly, speaking softly, "Chu Xuanji, the question you wish to ask, the Heavenly Emperor has instructed me to convey this: the Merfolk Ting Nu has already been released back to the East Sea Coast, and was not imprisoned in the Heavenly Prison. His summoning was merely to understand the temperament of the General after his reincarnation. The so-called guilt by association does not exist."

Xuanji felt a sense of relief, but also found it odd, and asked, "How did the Heavenly Emperor know I was going to ask about this?"

The attendant replied, "The Heavenly Emperor knows everything. Your question has been answered, now leave Kunlun Mountain quickly."

Xuanji nodded and took a few steps back, then couldn’t help but look back and ask, "Ting Nu really has been returned? He was not harmed?"

The attendant sneered slightly, "Why would Heaven deceive you? Besides, that Merfolk has some capabilities of his own, someday he might even return to the Heavenly Court to be promoted and honored. With such talent, why would Heaven oppress him?"

The implication was clear: her troubles in Heaven were all unwarranted, and only thanks to the Heavenly Emperor’s magnanimity had her responsibilities not been pursued. Even her continual questioning now was out of line.

Xuanji did not argue with them; at this point, there was nothing left to argue about.

Looking back, their party had fearlessly rushed to Kunlun Mountain, but ended up scattered, leaving only two to return. The initial bravado had been worn down by numerous setbacks. As they left Kaiming Gate, as if by unspoken agreement, Xuanji and Yu Sifeng exchanged looks and both started smiling wryly.

"So much has happened," Yu Sifeng said softly, smoothing out the hair on Xuanji’s forehead, "but thankfully, we’re both alive and can go back together."

Xuanji looked at him dazedly, only managing a small smile without speaking. Yu Sifeng lightly flicked her smooth forehead: "What are you smiling at? Looking all sneaky, like you’re up to no good."

Xuanji walked a few steps with a smile, then leisurely said, "It’s just a pity I’m not that fossilized Weaver; the Star Lord followed for nothing."

Yu Sifeng had long known she would tease him about it; unbothered, he simply said, "Why cling to that past life? It has nothing to do with us now. I’m not going to change my name to Star Lord, and you won’t be called Luo Hou and Jidu, it’s all in the past."

Xuanji, both shocked and delighted, spoke softly, "So you’ve already found out about my past life, that name... you know it too."

Yu Sifeng said with a smile, "I did see some interesting things in the Netherworld; I’ll tell you about them later."

Xuanji nodded, "I also saw some curious things at Kunlun Mountain; let’s share when we get back."

With that said, they both smiled again. On that day, one had aimlessly wandered in the Netherworld, and the other had struggled helplessly in an Illusion Realm, neither imagining they could truly return; that all of this could really be passed.

And now, it truly was all behind them.

Together, they walked shoulder to shoulder down the Chishui River, reaching the Dragon Gate, where indeed they saw Liu Yihuan still solemnly seated, not moving an inch. On seeing them return, Yihuan’s expression was like seeing a ghost; he jumped up and rushed forward, grabbing Yu Sifeng’s sleeve and bellowing, "You’re back?! You’re okay?!"

Waiting for the Azure Dragon below, his heart was fraught with intense anxiety, also worrying over what might have happened to Xuanji and the others. Then seeing Kunlun Mountain ablaze, with flames reaching the sky, his heart sank further, resigning himself to the likelihood of reuniting in the Netherworld. However, here they were, safe and sound, making him think he was dreaming.

Yu Sifeng grinned, "No worries, everything is fine."

Liu Yihuan, relieved, let go of his sleeve and slumped back down, sighing, "You guys scared me to death; just shaved off another ten years of my life."

Xuanji pouted and said, "You’re worried about the Azure Dragon becoming your wife; that’s what’s really shaving years off your life."

Liu Yihuan glanced at her and muttered, "Kids don’t know anything... Come on, Little Phoenix, tell Big Brother what good deeds you’ve been up to in Heaven.... Oh right, where are Wuzhiqi and Tengshe?"

He shouldn’t have mentioned them; at the mention of these two, Xuanji’s expression darkened. Liu Yihuan immediately felt uneasy, turning back to stare in astonishment at Yu Sifeng, who hurriedly said, "Wuzhiqi willingly accepted his punishment, continuing to serve his sentence in the Netherworld. Tengshe... the death of Emperor Bai must have hit him hard; it’s unlikely he will return any time soon."

Liu Yihuan sighed with relief and patted his chest, "You all scared five years off my life again, you little rascals. I don’t have many years left as it is, and with all these frights, you are slowly splitting up my life. How could Emperor Bai die?"

Yu Sifeng briefly recounted the events, but he was not very clear about Xuanji’s previous encounters, and his own experiences in hell were somewhat bizarre, so he left those parts out. The more Liu Yihuan listened, the more astonishing it became, and he exclaimed wide-eyed, "That Luminous Glass Vase is really powerful! There’s an old saying that a gentleman’s revenge is not too late even after ten years, but it endured for a thousand years, truly the gentleman among gentlemen!"

Then he felt something was odd, "But what revenge does the Luminous Glass Vase need to take? Isn’t it just a piece of Liuli? Could it be that it held a grudge because Emperor Bai accidentally shattered it?"

Xuanji smiled faintly and said softly, "Because... I am the Liuli."

Liu Yihuan did not hear clearly and kept asking repeatedly until someone laughed from overhead, "Yo, you all left? Didn’t even wait for me."

Everyone saw a blur before them, and Wuzhiqi landed on the ground in the blink of an eye, apparently having showered and changed clothes; his hair was neatly combed, a far cry from his previous unkempt appearance. Liu Yihuan couldn’t help whistling and joked, "Handsome man, all dressed up so nicely, are you going to hell to visit your lover?"

Wuzhiqi laughed heartily and said, "Yes, I’ve been unkempt for a thousand years, about time I cleaned up. Who knows how long I’ll be unkempt for again."

Xuanji looked at him with a touch of reluctance and whispered, "Wuzhiqi, you don’t have to go back..."

Wuzhiqi shook his head, "A man’s word is his bond; I would never do something faithless." Seeing everyone’s sorrowful expressions, he burst into laughter, slapped Yu Sifeng hard on the shoulder, and grinned, "Cut that womanly sentiment; I can’t stand to see it. We will meet again someday. What’s there to fear about the separation of life and death?"

Xuanji still wanted to talk with him a bit longer, as once he left, she didn’t know how long it would be before she could see him again; perhaps only when she and Sifeng died, meeting with bald heads and wrinkled skin in hell, which would hardly be a dignified scene.

Wuzhiqi looked up at the sky and said, "It’s getting late; almost an hour has passed, I need to go back." With that, he leaped up and was several meters away in a flash. Xuanji took a few steps after him, and urgently called out, "Wuzhiqi!" but the words stuck in her throat, leaving her unable to say anything despite the rush of feelings.

From a distance, Wuzhiqi waved at them, shouting, "Let bygones be bygones, no more wild thoughts! Come visit hell sometime; I’ll treat you to a drink!"

No sooner had he finished speaking than he disappeared without a trace.

Xuanji was overcome with sadness and stood there stunned for a long time. Yu Sifeng took her wrist gently and said softly, "He’s right; what’s past is past. We should forget our past lives and look forward to our future. Xuanji, for our first child, do you want a boy or a girl?"

His comments started off serious, but then he abruptly asked that question. Xuanji was stunned, blushed suddenly, pulled her hand back, and scolded him, "Who... What about a boy or a girl! You old lecher, always saying annoying things!"

Yu Sifeng burst into laughter, joined by Liu Yihuan, who clapped his hands and said, "You two are a couple of troublemakers but, you finally made it to this day. Sifeng, I think you should not wait any longer; just leave Kunlun Mountain and go directly to the Shaoyang Sect, ask Sect Leader Chu for her hand, and settle this matter sooner rather than later."

Yu Sifeng was surprised, "You’re not coming with us?"

Liu Yihuan glared, "I’m still waiting for your sister-in-law!"

Yu Sifeng was rendered speechless, and Xuanji exclaimed, "You’re another lecher! What’s so great about Azure Dragon? She’s bad and annoying, and you forget everything whenever you see someone pretty. We don’t acknowledge any sister-in-law; just hurry and come with us!"

Liu Yihuan tried to defend himself, but Yu Sifeng cut in, "Indeed, and Azure Dragon might not even come; she stole your Heavenly Eye and came to the Lower Realm without the Heavenly Emperor’s orders; she’ll be punished later. There’s no use waiting, better come with us!"

"What? It wasn’t an order from Heaven?" Liu Yihuan was still confused, but Xuanji, worried he would fuss and refuse to leave, swiftly chopped him on the back of his neck. Liu Yihuan didn’t even grunt before collapsing. Yu Sifeng scooped him up, carrying him over his shoulder, and turned back, smiling at Xuanji, "When he wakes up, who knows how he’ll fuss."

Xuanji snorted, "Scared of him? Besides, you... if you want to ask my father for... for that, how can we do it without the elders?" She was still somewhat embarrassed to say ’asking for marriage’ outright in broad daylight.

Yu Sifeng smiled, "In that case, I’ll ask again, do you want a boy or a girl?"

Before he could finish speaking, Xuanji had already run far off, and Yu Sifeng, smiling, chased after her. The two of them walked away, laughing and chatting.

Liuli is about to end; tomorrow is September 1st, and I am starting to post the new work ’Running around the world and doing small tasks.’ Seriously, what a weird name that is... Just thinking about it reminds me of a tragic history of choosing book titles... It’s unbearable to dwell upon it...

Supposedly... this new work should be an ancient light comedy, which will be very different from Liuli. Well, those interested may come and check it out.

PS, this is absolutely not an advertisement, definitely not an advertisement... sneaking away... (To be continued, to find out what happens next, please visit www.qidian.com, for more Chapters, support the author, and support genuine reading!)
