Chapter 253: Final Volume: I Am Liuli Chapter 12: Divine Witch (Part 6)

"Wuzhiqi! Wake up, wake up!"

Zi Hu rushed over and shook his collar fiercely, to no avail; he was like a wooden puppet with its soul sucked out, completely motionless, his eyes staring wide as if they were copper bells, lost in some bizarre dream.

Zi Hu raised her hand, wanting to slap him awake, when suddenly she felt a light tug at her sleeve. Wu Peng stood behind her like a specter, whispering in her ear, "Don’t disturb him, everyone has the right to dream."

Her breath was so chillingly cold that it sent shivers down one’s spine. Zi Hu shuddered and quickly turned to push her away, but her touch was cold and slippery, and Wu Peng drifted away, her feet not touching the ground.

The fog grew thicker, and if not for the sharp pain on the tip of her tongue, Zi Hu might have once again fallen victim to her endless, wild fantasies. Wuzhiqi suddenly moved, and Zi Hu, both startled and elated, quickly called out, "Are you awake? Are you alright?" He didn’t respond. Raising his head with the same vacant expression, he suddenly pushed her hand away and walked off. Zi Hu hurriedly tried to stop him, but to no avail!

Wu Peng appeared faintly within the mist, her whereabouts elusive, drifting to and fro. For a moment, it seemed the entire grove was filled with her white figure. She seemed unable to comprehend Zi Hu’s near-madness, murmuring, "Why wake him? Why awaken at all? Isn’t reality painful? Don’t you all prefer to escape?"

Zi Hu clung desperately to Wuzhiqi’s clothes, tearing at them to no effect; she was at a loss for what to do, and to make matters worse, the woman kept prattling in her ear. Zi Hu couldn’t help but shout, "Will you shut up? Your silly tricks are outdated! Make him wake up now! Or I’ll twist your head off your neck!"

In her desperation, she suddenly remembered that Wu Peng, dressed all in white, was the culprit. If she took her down, Wuzhiqi would naturally wake up. Letting go of Wuzhiqi, Zi Hu dashed toward Wu Peng in the woods like a bolt of purple lightning. She had always thought that the Divine Witches were formidable, so she used all her strength in her attack, not daring to hold back. Surprisingly, Wu Peng didn’t even try to dodge and shuddered as Zi Hu grabbed her arm, nearly breaking her bones in the grip, causing her to scream in pain.

Zi Hu was taken aback by the pig-like screams of agony, involuntarily releasing Wu Peng, and murmured in a low voice, "No way... are you really a Divine Witch? Shouldn’t you have dodged that with poise?"

Wu Peng clutched her wrist, her figure shrinking back into the fog, trembling as she said, "Those brute wrestling games are not for me to learn!"

Seeing that Wu Peng had no real skills, but could move elusively and lightly, disappearing into the fog if not watched closely, Zi Hu immediately chased after her. This time, she gently grasped Wu Peng’s robe and lifted her slightly, calling out triumphantly, "Then don’t blame me for being rude! Hurry up and clear the fog! Or I’ll gouge out your eyes!"

Having said that, she pressed her fingers against Wu Peng’s cold eyelids, about to gouge.

Wu Peng trembled with fear, and with a wave of her sleeve, the fog in the woods cleared in an instant, the sunlight brilliant and the view clear.

"I... I’ve cleared it... please... don’t gouge out my eyes!" she stammered, her tongue tripping over itself in fear.

Zi Hu turned to see that Wuzhiqi was still walking forward blankly, like a puppet under someone else’s control. She was furious, her sharp nails pressing down hard, and soon Wu Peng’s eyelids began to bleed. Wu Peng shrieked horribly, her cries like those of slaughtering pigs or donkeys, "You’re breaking your word!"

Zi Hu said sternly, "Who is breaking their word?! He’s still not awake! If not your mischief, then whose?"

Wu Peng replied tremulously, "I can’t do anything if he won’t wake up! I can only trap him in an illusion, but I don’t have the power to pull him out! Besides, he’s willing to indulge in the illusion himself, what right do you have to wake him up!"

"Nonsense!" Zi Hu clutched at her throat, wishing she could strangle her to death, "That’s all fake! Who would want something that’s fake! If I ripped off your head and replaced it with a wooden one, would you like it?!"

Wu Peng nodded her head again and again, fearful that should her temper arise, she really might replace her head with a wooden one, which would be extremely bad news.

Zi Hu roared, "You still have the face to shake your head?! Then why aren’t you going to wake him up!"

Wu Peng, shaken back and forth by her, began to feel dizzy and managed to say with difficulty, "I... really can’t do it..."

Zi Hu could no longer contain her anger, raised her hand to strike Wu Peng’s face to mark it with injury, when suddenly a flash of white light burst from above, and a stern voice commanded, "How audacious! Such boldness from evil spirits!"

Her arm was suddenly twisted into an unimaginable posture behind her, followed by a "snap" as Zi Hu screamed in pain, stumbling a few steps before falling to the ground—her arm had been forcefully broken by someone.

A blood-soaked elder in a green robe stood firm before Wu Peng, glaring furiously at Zi Hu, and coldly said, "What devils and fiends dare to cause chaos in Kunlun Mountain! Wu Peng, how are you?"

Wu Peng, trembling behind him, saw blood on his body and quickly shrank back her hand in fear, her voice quivering, "Was Wu Fan also injured by someone?!"

A blue hue flashed across Wu Fan’s face in anger, recalling how he had personally investigated when he noticed an intruder in Kunlun Mountain, only to capture a Zi Hu, and soon after was discovered by Xuanji, nearly losing his life. The Divine Witches all resided on the periphery of Kunlun Mountain, unaware of the past incidents in Heaven, thus mistook it as an invasion from outsiders, showing no mercy.

Seeing Zi Hu beaten to a point where she lay motionless on the ground, appearing as if she wouldn’t live much longer, he snorted, turned his head to examine the wounds on Wu Peng’s face, and said with a frown, "Why are you the only one here, where’s Wuyang?"

Wu Peng, with tearful eyes, trembled as she said, "He... is still sleeping... even if he were awake, he wouldn’t help! He’s always the one who coldly watches others live or die!"

Wu Fan checked her wounds and found they were merely scratches on her eyelids, internally regretting his excessive force against Zi Hu. Turning back, he saw that the fox was still able to get up and run wildly ahead. He hesitated for a moment, unsure whether to strike and finish her off or to simply let her go.

Wu Peng grabbed his wrist and shook it vigorously, "She’s running! She ran away! And there’s a man ahead! You have to catch them! If the Heavenly Emperor finds out we didn’t stop them, there’s no telling how we’ll be punished!"

Wu Fan frowned, "With injuries like that, she won’t die but only has half a life left, why bother to capture her! The real culprits have already entered the shrine, besides Wuxiang, no one else can enter."

Wu Peng pointed to the wounds on her face, pleading, "Look at this! She scratched me like this! If word gets out, what will the mortals think of the Divine Witches! Can’t even defeat a Little Fox Demon!"

Wu Fan snorted, "The one who’s embarrassing is you! Lacking ability yet still insisting on showing off!"

Despite his words, he still followed Wu Peng, chasing after Zi Hu. From a distance, they could see Zi Hu catching up to a man who was walking forward in a daze, speaking urgently to him. But that man seemed to not hear anything at all, just kept walking, kept walking, and not far ahead was a cliff. If he continued, he would fall off the edge.

Wu Fan glanced at Wu Peng and asked, "Did you do this?"

Wu Peng, rubbing the injury on his eyelid, said with evident pride, "I don’t like your brute methods of violence. Using this kind of tactic, making them head towards death on their own, isn’t it much more elegant?"

Oh, elegant! Wu Fan opened his mouth as if to say something, but in the end, he said nothing.

There was a large pool of blood on the ground. He bent down, dipped his finger into it, and brought it close to his nose for a gentle sniff, murmuring softly, "The heart meridian of the Demon Fox is broken, she won’t live. That man will probably fall off the cliff on his own in a moment, no need for us to act. Let’s go! What else is there to see!"

Despite Wu Peng’s protests, he forcefully pulled her away.

Zi Hu felt an intense pain all over her body, as if there were a fire burning inside her, and thousands of knives carving her up. Gasping for air, she suddenly remembered something. With a hand that had already sprouted sharp claws, she pressed firmly against her face, forcing down the protruded features of a fox’s muzzle.

She looked too ugly in that form, and she didn’t like it.

Wuzhiqi had always liked her as a fox. For many years, she had complied with his wishes, soft and accommodating, never rebellious. Now, for this last time, she wouldn’t fulfill his desires.

His figure was right in front of her, still walking forward as if mad.

As anxious as she was, Zi Hu was also curious. What kind of dream could immerse him so deeply that he couldn’t extricate himself? In that dream...was she there?

Zi Hu stretched out her hand and grabbed his belt tightly, yelling, "Wuzhiqi! You Monkey, how long do you plan to sleep?! Get up for me!"

Her shout seemed to have some effect. His forward movement suddenly stopped, and he stood stiffly on the spot.

Zi Hu was overjoyed and hurriedly ran in front of him, looking up only to see his brow slightly furrowed as if facing some problem, a look of confusion and uncertainty on his face. Zi Hu raised her hand and slapped his cheek, leaving a large blotch of blood on it. He had no reaction.

"You damn fool, wake up already!" she cursed loudly, unable to hold back a choking sob.

This bastard never took her to heart in anything he did, not even in his dreams, completely ignoring her existence.

"If you don’t wake up now, I’m going to kiss you..."

She opened her arms and hugged him tightly. Of course, she knew these words would never have any effect on him, whether he was awake or asleep.

She gently grabbed his hand and, with fondness, placed it on her face, whispering softly, "You dead Monkey."

Suddenly, she bit down hard on his wrist. Wuzhiqi let out a yell and abruptly escaped from the Illusion Realm. Still not fully recovered, he looked down in confusion at Zi Hu.

"Ah? Little Fox? Eh?... What’s... What’s happening..." He grasped his head in bewilderment. The intense pain from his wrist spread, and seeing Zi Hu still fiercely biting, he almost jumped up in a panic, "Alright, alright! I’m awake! Stop biting! It’s killing me!"

Zi Hu let go, looking up with her snow-white cheeks covered in fresh blood, her eyes somewhat unfocused. She suddenly smiled faintly, snorted, and said coquettishly, "As expected, I have to make you suffer before you recognize who I am."

Wuzhiqi, covering his bloody, mangled wrist, laughed and cried at the same time, looked around, and said, "Strange... Was it an Illusion Technique? I’m embarrassed that I didn’t realize it at all."

In a soft voice, Zi Hu asked, "What... did you see in your dream?"

Wuzhiqi stroked his chin in recollection, "Hmm... Just a bunch of brothers, having drinks together, having a grand old time... What’s wrong with you?!"

Suddenly, he reached out and caught Zi Hu as she slumped to the ground. He felt her body go limp, completely without strength. Then came another pain in his arm—it was her claws digging in.

Zi Hu stared intently into his eyes and whispered softly, "Didn’t you dream of me?"

Wuzhiqi stared at her in a daze. After a moment, he suddenly asked in a grave voice, "Who did this?"

Zi Hu cracked a smile, her expression vacant, and said faintly, "Wuzhiqi... Wuzhiqi, kiss me."

He didn’t ask who it was anymore. Who else could it be besides those Divine Witches? He held Zi Hu tightly in his arms, lowered his head and gently kissed her lips. When he looked at her again, her face was flushed enough to overpower the blooming peach blossoms, with a hint of a smile on her charming lips.

With that, a thousand-year wish was fulfilled.

She whispered something into his ear, and after a moment of silence, Wuzhiqi slowly nodded.

She laughed softly as her body rapidly shrank, eventually turning into a purple fox, curled up in his embrace, motionless. (To be continued, for what happens next, please visit www.qidian.com. There are more Chapters there, support the author, support genuine reading!)
