People often have many strange feelings, such as encountering something one day and subconsciously feeling that the scene seems familiar, not knowing whether it was a dream, or if it was something they had experienced before. For example, suddenly encountering an object, feeling an incomparable familiarity and closeness but not being able to recall exactly what it was used for.

From the moment Wuzhiqi revealed the Juntian Ring, Xuanji found herself trapped in such a bizarre feeling, unable to extricate herself. She seemed to have forgotten everything around her, staring only at it, exhausting all her mind trying to remember where she had seen it before. It wasn’t until he showed the Sea Control Hook that the feeling grew even stronger.

It was truly familiar! Not superficially familiar, but deeply ingrained into the innermost layers of her soul, connected to the flesh and blood that was part of her! It was like something familiar that had been lost for a long, long time and was finally found again.

In front of her, many images seemed to emerge, blurry and indistinct, along with many voices. One voice was like a whisper in her ear, saying softly, "Change it, you look really ugly like this. How about becoming a Liuli beauty?"

She turned her head, trying to listen more clearly, when suddenly Wuzhiqi shouted loudly, and the Juntian Ring in his hand "crack" split into pieces. It was as if something inside her was also smashed violently, the clear cracking sound buzzing in her ears, and immediately after, all the sounds died down, and her body seemed to suddenly fall into an abyss, plummeting, plummeting...

Yu Sifeng hugged her body, calling her name softly a few times, but she had no reaction at all, her eyes closed tight, apparently fainting away. His heart was in turmoil, and suddenly he picked her up by the waist, turned around, and said with a harsh voice, "I don’t care about the conflicts in Heaven! Now, please immediately disperse the blood fog! Let us out!"

The Vermilion Bird was yelled at without temper, knowing he was in the wrong about the blood fog, and could only purse his lips, left hand drawing in the air, and large bundles of blood-red fog began to writhe. From such a close observation, the squirming fog resembled writhing flesh, which was truly nauseating and ferocious.

Wuzhiqi still wore a nonchalant expression, as if he had not just destroyed a famous Divine Artifact, but had casually broken a porcelain bowl, chuckling, "Don’t blame this stupid bird, this blood fog is something that never leaves his side and can’t be separated from him; it can also be considered a Barrier, isolating us from the outside world. This fellow loves to put up a facade, wherever he goes, he likes to set the mood with fog, just like farting. He’s actually just an idiot!"

Because the blood fog had hurt many people, the Vermilion Bird felt quite bad about it. After being ridiculed by him, he didn’t even talk back, turned his wrist slightly, and the blood-red color of the fog gradually faded, finally turning into pure white, and his entire figure was enveloped in the white fog, vague and indistinct.

"Monkey! You just wait, the grave crime of damaging a Divine Artifact will catch up with you sooner or later!" he threatened from within the fog, and then, the fog slowly receded. Zi Hu’s legs went weak, and she could not help but sit down. Suddenly, everything around her was restored to its original state—the bustling inn, the upper half that had been chopped off by the Sea Control Hook was somehow fixed back seamlessly, the messy tables and chairs were neatly arranged, and those disciples from Lize Palace and the patrons who were groaning on the ground stood bewildered inside the inn, their bodies clean, without a scratch on them, those who had suffered from the corrosion of the blood fog seemed to have turned into ash along with the disappearance of the fog — everything was back to how it was before the Vermilion Bird arrived; the sunlight was shining brightly on the street, with people coming and going, none of them even looking into the inn, as if nothing had happened.

Many strange cries suddenly erupted from the inn, coming from the patrons and the staff who had been trapped inside and couldn’t leave. Seeing that everything had been restored, they no longer dared to stay inside the inn, and scampered out in a panic, seeking to escape as a priority. The remaining disciples from Lize Palace felt as if they were in a different world, staring at each other in dismay for a long time, unable to utter a word.

Wuzhiqi coughed twice, tapping his finger on the table, and said with a smile, "Your Vice Palace Master has been captured, and you’re still not leaving? Are you waiting for me to kill you?"

They then "buzzed" with shock, scrambling away in a panic. Yu Sifeng called out from behind, "Wait! Are you going back to Lize Palace?" The disciples silently nodded, and Yu Sifeng said again, "Once you’re back, how will you explain?" Everyone was silent. The Juntian Ring was broken, and the Vice Palace Master was such a person... The existence of Lize Palace was for the Juntian Ring, and now that it was shattered, did their existence still mean anything? How could they explain this incident to the Great Palace Master?

"Let’s go back together," Yu Sifeng said solemnly, "The Great Palace Master is now at the mercy of the Vice Palace Master, and his life or death is uncertain. I will go back with you and handle this matter."

As one of the Shieryu, everyone in Lize Palace respected him, and at this moment, when there was a lack of leadership and everything was in chaos, his intervention had a profound effect, and the disciples quickly agreed. Yu Sifeng turned and gently laid Xuanji down in a chair, caressed her face lightly, and said softly, "Zi Hu, Wuzhiqi. I entrust Brother Liu and Xuanji to your care. I’ll make a trip to Lize Palace and will return soon."

Wuzhiqi was just about to speak when he suddenly raised his head, alert, and whispered, "Silence! Something’s not right! There’s still something here!" No sooner had the words left his mouth when everyone heard a cold laugh echoing from mid-air, vaguely sounding like a woman’s voice. Wuzhiqi leaped up in a flash, taking hold of the Sea Control Hook, ready to lash out, when Zi Hu hurriedly said, "Don’t! If you damage the inn again, we won’t have the Vermilion Bird to protect us this time!"

He abruptly stopped his movement, hesitating for a moment. In just that instant, a cyan claw the size of a human hand appeared out of nowhere. Its hook was sharp, and it was covered in cyan scales. The claw, swift as lightning, swiped across Liu Yihuan’s forehead. Even in his unconscious state, the pain made him cry out miserably, and his body jolted up as blood spurted from the wound on his forehead.

The Heavenly Eye on his forehead was forcibly gouged out by that claw!

Wuzhiqi vaulted his body, leaping three to four feet into the air, his fingers claw-like, reaching for the cyan claw. Unexpectedly, it vanished before his eyes, leaving only a few drops of Liu Yihuan’s blood on his face. Wuzhiqi suddenly felt a whoosh of air behind his ear and instinctively blocked with his hand. Pain shot through the back of his hand as if slashed by a sharp blade. He shivered with pain, flipping over to land back on the ground. Looking back, he saw another cyan claw slowly disappearing into mid-air!

Blood dripped from his hand; the wound was half a foot long, deep enough to reveal the bone. Wuzhiqi, infuriated, cursed loudly, "Motherf**ker! Is that the Azure Dragon, that smelly bitch?! Why the hell are you scratching with those claws, you ugly woman? Be careful or I’ll chop off every last one of them!"

A voice as cold as frost came from above, "The Heavenly Emperor commands the retrieval of the Divine Artifact Heavenly Eye. The mission is complete; I am returning." Her tone suggested she was completely indifferent to his provocation. Wuzhiqi’s face turned green with rage, but knowing he was inside the inn, he couldn’t recklessly swing the Sea Control Hook around, lest he kill everyone in the town. Furious, he could only pound on the innocent tables and chairs which were quickly smashed into pieces by his hits.

Liu Yihuan’s face was pale, his body covered in blood, his breath faint, and it was apparent he was close to death. Yu Sifeng hurriedly took out some medicinal powder and sprinkled it onto the wound on Liu Yihuan’s forehead, but the blood was gushing out so profusely that it washed away as much powder as he applied. He was so anxious that he felt like his insides were burning, his voice trembling as he called out, "Brother Liu!" While pressing down hard on the wound, tears welled up in his eyes.

Wuzhiqi crouched down with a solemn look, stroking his chin and sighed, "Ah, I was careless! The Azure Dragon loves to appear and disappear unpredictably. His forehead bleeding earlier must have been her doing, and I didn’t realize it!" Seeing Yu Sifeng’s pale face and the tears quivering in his eyes, yet holding back from falling, he felt a pang of compassion. Suddenly he had an idea, turning around to search for something on the ground.

Zi Hu quietly approached and whispered, "What are you doing? Think of a solution quickly! Now’s not the time to be playing around!"

Wuzhiqi ignored her, searching the ground for a while, picking up something grain by grain. Eventually, he scooped everything into the pocket of his clothes and brought it over to Yu Sifeng. "Here, don’t cry. Find something to wrap these shards in and place them on his body, and his bleeding should stop after a while," he said as he grabbed a handful of the contents from his pocket and stuffed them into Yu Sifeng’s hand.

They were white shards, neither gold nor jade and of unknown material, remnants of the Juntian Ring that Wuzhiqi had previously crushed. When the Divine Artifact was whole, it radiated light. Now in pieces, it had lost that light, but those shards held an unknown power in Yu Sifeng’s hands. In that instant, he felt the demon power within him surge, becoming many times more powerful than before.

Yu Sifeng was taken aback and, not daring to delay, tore off a sleeve to wrap the shards before placing them into Liu Yihuan’s chest. Indeed, after a while, the wound on his forehead stopped bleeding, and his complexion improved slightly. The flesh where the Heavenly Eye was taken from formed a deep, sinister-looking hole.

He sprinkled some medicinal powder on it and wrapped his head tightly with a bandage. Hearing Liu Yihuan moan softly and say intermittently, "Am I... dead?" Yu Sifeng replied softly, "Brother, you’re not dead. You’re just injured. Lie still, and you’ll be fine soon."

Liu Yihuan said faintly, "The Heavenly Eye... I’ve lost the Heavenly Eye, haven’t I?"

Yu Sifeng hesitated for a moment before nodding. Wuzhiqi frowned and said, "Be thankful you’re still alive! Forget about the Heavenly Eye. You’ve lost all your demon power; do you still think of contending with Heaven?"

Liu Yihuan said softly, "No... it’s better gone. My inner strife... was my inability to let go. Her next life... what does it have to do with me now?"

After speaking, his head slumped to the side, and he fell silent. (To be continued. To find out what happens next, please visit www.qidian.com. More Chapters available, support the author, support genuine reading!)
