Love After Divorce
Chapter 513 {Flashback}

Chapter 513: Chapter 513 {Flashback}

It was already midnight. Stella had slept all afternoon, so she couldn’t sleep anymore. She only wore a thin nightdress and planned to go to the restaurant downstairs to get a glass of water to drink.

As soon as she went down the stairs, another bolt of lightning flashed across her sight. The lights outside the window flashed, and her little delicate body was stunned for a moment. Her thick black shoulder-length hair was like a black waterfall hanging over her shoulder in mid-air. Her delicate eyebrows were wrinkled together as if she had thought of something.

Soon, there was a beep in the living room. It was the sound of the electronic key opening.

Stella felt nervous for no reason.

The door of the living room opened, and the wind outside swept in, blowing up Stella’s hair that was standing at the top of the stairs.

Stella didn’t expect that RK would come back so late.

RK seemed to be drunk.

The night wind lifted the hem of his coat. He had drunk a lot of wine. RK was helped inside by a friend. RK’s tall and straight body swayed a little in the night wind.

Stella walked over to RK and helped him into the living room.

"Sister-in-law, I’m sorry to have disturbed your rest." Evan Wood looked at Stella, who was dressed in thin clothes, and said with embarrassment.

"It’s okay. I haven’t slept yet." Stella’s faint voice was like a flower in the night, soft and peaceful.

"I didn’t have time to come over for your wedding."

"My name is Evan, Rene’s friend." Evan stretched out his hand and looked at Stella.

"Stella." Stella reached out to hold Evan’s hand in embarrassment, and then immediately took it back.

Evan looked at Stella with an embarrassed smile and said, "It’s our fault today. We’ve reconciled too much with Rene."

"It’s okay. It’s so late. Do you want to stay for one night and go back? It’s not safe to rain outside." Stella glanced at the rain outside the window.

"No, there’s another one in my car who drank a lot. I want to take him home." Evan refused Stella’s kindness and left.

Stella looked at RK, who was lying on the sofa and sighed helplessly.

RK leaned against the sofa. Even if his eyes were closed, the unyielding aura between his brows would be unforgettable.

He was only wearing a coat without any buttons on it, revealing a dark suit, a white shirt, and a dark tie. They were well-matched, mature, and low-key.

RK’s face was sometimes bright and sometimes dark under the light. He was too strange and handsome. His arrogant and cold lips were full of a strong temperament. Even if he was drunk, sitting there quietly gave people a noble and alienated feeling.

Stella thought for a while. "It’s so late. I don’t want to disturb Aunt Maya’s rest."

She took the remote control and turned off the light above her head. The whole living room was shrouded in dim light. She turned around and walked into the restaurant.

In less than ten minutes, she had cooked a hot bowl of sobering soup. As soon as she entered the living room and got close to the sofa, a low and mellow voice rose in the darkness.

"What time is it?"

Stella was shocked by the sudden voice. Her fingers trembled slightly and she almost overturned the cup. She was stunned for a moment before she realized that it was RK who was speaking.

He turned his head and took a look at the dim light. He raised his hand and rubbed his eyebrows. Maybe it was due to the pain of drinking.

Seeing that no one answered for a while, he finally opened his eyes and turned to look at her.

Stella felt as if she had seen the other side of RK.

His blue eyes were deep and calm. Not only was he did not look drunk, but he had two sharp rays of light that made it impossible for others to look at him.

In the darkness, he did not look away, nor did Stella.

RK was sizing her up like an extremely calm hunter, sizing up the prey that had fallen into his trap.

Stella, on the other hand, was not afraid of RK.

Outside the window, a bolt of lightning flashed and almost lit up the night. RK’s eyes flickered with the shadow of the woman who was illuminated by the lightning. The light-fitting night dress made her skin look even more delicate and crystal-clear. Her flawless skin was almost transparent.

Stella looked at RK’s eyes, which were growing deeper and deeper. When she thought of what had happened in the previous meeting, her face turned red.

Stella was about to open her mouth to break the terrifying silence.

RK opened his mouth first. His voice was as low and calm as before.

"What time is it?" RK asked again, and then leaned back on the sofa and closed his eyes so that he no longer thought about Stella, whom he had just seen.

Stella saw that he was no longer looking at her. She looked up at the clock on the wall and said lightly, "It’s almost one o’clock in the morning."

After that, Stella walked up to RK and said, "Drink this. At least it won’t hurt too much when you get up tomorrow morning."

RK didn’t move. He didn’t even open his eyes.

Stella stood by RK’s side, looking at the motionless RK.

"It’s late. Go get some rest. Don’t worry about me." RK closed his eyes and said those words. He thought of what Sophia had told him when he went to see her today.

The strange attitude made Stella a little unhappy. She looked at the calm attitude in the light.

In the end, Stella gently sat down beside RK.

She was so close to RK that Stella could even smell his scent. There was a strong smell of alcohol mixed with a faint smell of cigarettes.

Stella looked at RK and wanted to turn back to her room, but she didn’t.

She couldn’t bear to see RK suffer like this.

It was still raining outside, and the temperature in the living room was high. If he sat on the sofa for a whole night and woke up tomorrow, he would certainly get sick. A soft sigh stopped at her lips.

"I’ll help you back to your room, or you’ll catch a cold tomorrow." Stella looked at RK helplessly.

RK suddenly opened his eyes and looked at Stella. He didn’t look away from her for a full minute.

"Bring me the sobering soup."

Stella picked it up from the coffee table and handed it to RK. He reached out to take it, leaned forward, and put the empty bowl on the table.

It was a casual movement, but it made Stella smell something that was not so obvious.

This was the smell of women’s perfume.

It was a perfume that Stella was very familiar with. It was a perfume that Sophia often used.

It turned out that RK came back so late because he was with Sophia.

A faint fragrance wafted out from RK’s body and crept into Stella’s nose.

The smell of perfume, which had been faintly discernible, became so pungent at the moment.

She subconsciously clenched her slender fingers, and her sharp nails were almost embedded in her palms. The pain she felt for no reason could not resist the perfume in her lungs.

She should stay calm and pretend that nothing had happened, shouldn’t she? Wasn’t that supposed to be the case?

Since she knew that RK and Sophia knew each other, she shouldn’t have fallen in love with him. Even in RK’s room, there was a photo of him and Sophia.

From the beginning to the end, she shouldn’t have fallen in love with RK.

RK didn’t know what she was thinking, nor did he know what he was thinking.

All of a sudden, RK got up, which scared Stella so much that she quickly got up and reached out to support RK.

RK placed his arm on her shoulder.

RK was very tall, and Stella was supporting him. It was as if he was holding her in his arms.
