Chapter 308: Chapter 308 No medicine for regret

"D*mn it, don’t you know, do you? I heard that a guard and a campus belle got together because of this!"

"I heard that it seemed to be the campus belle who took the guard to identify RK. Then, she was so scared by his coldness and cried, so the guard took the beauty into his warm with a warm hug."

"D*mn it. It turns out that a loser is such a good-for-nothing. He got a girl who was completely out of his reach just like that!"

"That’s all thanks to a matchmaker, Rene Kingston!"

There was no end to the gossip in the dorm. They sat on the same bed, eating snacks and laughing. In the end, they concluded that if Sophia was going to chase after RK, she had no chance at all.

Sophia didn’t expect RK to be such a ruthless and arrogant person. She began to suspect that he had ignored her at noon on purpose. The guy was too bad.

The second time Sophia saw RK was at the Start of Term Ceremony on behalf of all the sophomores and teachers to welcome their juniors. At that time, the meeting room burst into an uproar. The screams of the female students below overwhelmed the whole conference room. RK stood on the stage and gave a speech calmly. After he finished speaking, he bowed and left the conference room. The principal, who went on stage later, was very embarrassed because no one was willing to listen to him. The crowd was still in an uproar, and the whispers were even louder than the principal’s voice through the microphone.

Later Sophia becomes a member of RK’s fan club. She cared about all aspects of his life and try to understand his temperament. She tried to get in touch with everything he did, such as shooting, surfing, diving, rock climbing, and hiking... She had done everything he had done, and she gradually felt that she was the same kind of person as him. To be honest, she had always thought so before. She felt that no matter what they did, no matter what RK did to her now, he would eventually return to the same track as her. Who knew that she was wrong? From beginning to end, she had never been with him on the same track.

Sophia thought about it and realized that the memories of her youth were so beautiful. She had always thought that RK was the only one in her life. Without him, she would lose everything. However, to be honest, she had slowly missed a lot of things. She could no longer find the innocent young girl back then, and her innocence and happiness had changed into self-abasement and anxiety. RK was right. She had changed, and her caution had turned into fear. She was afraid that Stella would take RK away, so she tried her best. She had done everything she could do, and she had deserved everything that happened.

"I was wrong. I was wrong, Rene. I regret it. Can you still forgive me... Can you still like me..." Sophia leaned against the tree by the moat, full of regrets. Unfortunately, there is no medicine for regret. Everything was in the past, and all these could not be mentioned anymore.

Forget it, forget it. She might as well stop thinking about the past. Forgetting everything might be liberating for her.

When Stella woke up, she found that RK was not by her side. A sense of loss filled in the air.

"Where did that guy go? Why didn’t he buy breakfast for me early in the morning? He is courting death", she mumbled, but she was a little worried when she didn’t see RK.

Out of shame, Stella didn’t have the nerve to call RK. She had been waiting for him, but he still didn’t come.

It didn’t take long for the nurse to bring her breakfast.

"Auntie, why didn’t that annoying RK come?"

"Oh, it is like this. Mr. Kingston has something to do today, so he asked me to bring you breakfast. He told you to behave yourself and not do anything behind his back."

"Hmph, that guy!" On the surface, Stella looked disdainful but to be honest, she was relieved.

When Sophia woke up, RK was sitting not far away from her, looking at his phone.

To be honest, that was what RK thought. Why hadn’t Stella called him yet? Didn’t she feel anything if he didn’t go to see her? He was quite angry...

Sophia reacted for a while and realized that she had fallen asleep by the moat. Maybe she had a fever after being exposed to the cold wind, so passersby called an ambulance for her.

"You are awake!" RK raised his head and noticed that Sophia’s eyes were open.

"Yes, where is this place? The hospital?" Sophia asked.

"Yes, I have already called your parents. They will take you right away." With that RK stood up and was about to leave.

"RK." She suddenly stopped him. "I am sorry. I was wrong."

RK gave her a rare smile.

"It’s good that you know you are wrong!"

Then, RK left. As soon as he walked out of the door, he happened to meet David and Isabella, who was rushing over.

"Rene? How is Sophia doing?" David asked as soon as he saw RK.

"She is fine. She just caught a cold!" RK’s tone was indifferent. "Uncle David, do you think catching a cold is more serious than falling off the building?"

David couldn’t tell which was more important a daughter who had caught a cold and a daughter who had just fallen off a building.

RK didn’t believe that after such a long time, David didn’t know that Stella was in the hospital.
