Chapter 133: The Dimensional Store

Morning sunlight slipped past the curtains, painting lines across the black marble walls. A low hum filled the room from the central AI system.

Xavier’s bed had an alarm function that wakes him up every morning by vibrating at a low frequency.

But Xavier was already awake, so the frequency was a bit intense. It was like a massage.

Xavier got out of the bed and then went to the washroom. And then, in the tub.

Steam filled the air. Water bubbled around him. His back rested against the edge, and his eyes stared at the ceiling like he was waiting for the universe to hand him another war.

Instead, he got her voice.

"So... you did remember."

The goddess, again. Sulking less now.

"Yeah, yeah," Xavier mumbled, tilting his head to the side. "Barely. I almost lost a full level of progress because I was tired."

"You’ve grown sloppy."

He smirked. "Nah. Just distracted. But now... I’m focused."

He flicked his finger in the air.

A soft chime rang.

[Opening Dimensional Store...]

The steam around him twisted, shimmering like a veil, and then—reality shifted.

A deep black screen appeared in front of him, floating mid-air like a glitch in the matrix. Neon blue lines pulsed along the edges as a circular rune loaded in the center.

[DIMENSIONAL STORE — UMS LEVEL 5 ACCESS GRANTED]

[Warning: Purchases are irreversible. Inventory rotates daily.]

Xavier grinned. "Let’s see what kind of bullshit you’re hiding in here..."

The store flickered to life like a sleek arcade terminal. Categories slid across the screen in fluid rows: Combat Tools, Enhancements, Consumables, Summons, Property, Rare Artifacts, and even a locked one at the end that simply read: ???

Xavier raised an eyebrow. "Of course. Mysterious shit always locked behind some cosmic paywall."

There were also a ’Sell’ and ’Request’ section where users could post their listing and sell it, or put it on auction and the users around the galaxy would bid for the item and buy it. In the request section, users could post the items they needed with an advance, and sellers and vendors could find that item.

Xavier flicked through casually, skipping over the flashy weapon sets and the overpriced magic crystals glowing like rave toys. He wasn’t looking for toys. Not now.

He tapped into Enhancements.

[FILTER: BODY > PHYSICAL]

Dozens of items spilled out—muscle enhancers, bone density modifiers, joint lubricants, even some weird gland boosters that claimed to let him survive under lava.

But one thing caught his eye.

[Immune Booster - Gen X]

> Increases the user’s immunity by 500%.

"Cure it before you even catch it."

Price: 1 Justice Point

Side Effects: Moderate to Severe Pain (depends on body constitution)

Xavier stared at the screen. "Five hundred percent boost... That’s a damn good deal. For one JP?"

Then he read the fine print again. His lips curled up.

"...but since my base immunity is trash-tier, I guess 500% of dogshit is still just heavily-scented dogshit."

He rolled his neck.

"Still, better than nothing."

He tapped Purchase, and the store lit up with a flash of white. A small capsule appeared out of thin air above his palm and gently dropped into it with a soft clink.

Xavier stared at it.

"...This looks way shittier than the thumbnail," he muttered. "Did I just get catfished by a pill?"

The capsule was matte, dull gray, and warm. Like it had a pulse.

He shrugged and popped it in.

For two seconds, nothing.

Then hell opened its mouth and bit down.

His jaw clenched. A sudden pressure built up in his stomach like molten lead boiling from within. Then it spread. Fast.

The veins on his arms lit up under the skin. Not glowing—burning. His chest convulsed, breath ragged as his fingers twitched violently.

"FUCK—"

He yelled and slammed his fist on the tub’s control panel.

"AI—drop temp! Go full arctic mode!"

[Temperature setting: -5°C activated.]

With one quick breath, Xavier launched himself under the freezing water. The bathtub hissed as the steam from his body clashed with the new cold, turning the air around it into a swirling fog.

It didn’t stop the pain.

It just dulled the burn enough for him to stay conscious.

His body jerked slightly underwater, nerves flaring as the upgrade dug into the very roots of his being. Muscles contracted. Joints popped. Even his eyeballs hurt.

But he gritted his teeth and bore through it.

"Worth it..." he growled, bubbles escaping his mouth. "Totally... fucking worth it..."

He didn’t even realize when he blacked out.

One second, he was clutching his chest under freezing water, trying to remember how to breathe—and the next, darkness.

No dreams. No voices. Just a void.

Until the system yanked him back.

[SYSTEM RECOVERY COMPLETE.]

[BODY UPGRADE - IMMUNITY: SUCCESSFUL.]

Xavier jolted upright with a gasp, water splashing out of the tub like a mini tidal wave. His body was steaming, his skin pale but strangely tighter, stronger. He blinked, pupils adjusting instantly to the light. Even his breathing... it was smoother.

Cleaner.

No sore throat. No clogged nose. No headaches. No fatigue.

For the first time in years, his body felt—alive.

He looked at his hands. No shaking. His usual tremor from shitty sleep and low blood sugar? Gone.

"...Holy shit," he muttered. "That was worth the pain."

He stepped out of the tub, grabbing a towel as he walked to the mirror. His muscles hadn’t bulked up or anything, but there was a subtle firmness to them now. His skin had a healthy color. Even his posture felt straighter.

"Nice."

But just as he was about to walk out—

[DING!]

A new system prompt blinked into view in bold crimson text:

[⚠ NOTICE: SIDE EFFECT DETECTED]

> Due to your below-average hormonal stability and aggressive internal metabolism triggered by [Immune Booster - Gen X], a new condition has been automatically generated.

[Daily Release Required: 1x Sexual Activity]

> Failure to comply will result in a repeat of the pain experienced during the pill’s activation phase.

You have approximately 24 hours left.

"Stay healthy. Stay horny."

Xavier stared at the prompt.

Then rubbed his temples.

"Fucking hell. Is this system a goddamn hentai protagonist now?"

He sighed, then grinned like the devil himself. "Well... guess it’s time to spread some vitamins around."

His eyes shifted to the door.

He had a full harem under the same roof.

"Now, who’s gonna help me avoid burning alive today?"
