Chapter 313: The New Morning Routine (5) The Hidden Talent
They broke the kiss, both of them breathing heavily. Althea looked up at him, her eyes dark with desire. "Lyan," she whispered, her voice husky. "I need you."
Lyan looked up at her, his eyes dark with desire. "Patience," he murmured, his voice low and husky. "I want to savor this."
He continued his exploration, his lips and hands moving lower, kissing and caressing every inch of her body. Althea writhed beneath him, her moans growing louder as he teased and pleasured her. The intensity of her reactions spurred him on, each sound she made sending a surge of arousal through him.
Finally, Lyan positioned himself between her legs, his gaze locking with hers as he slowly entered her. Althea let out a loud, breathless moan, her eyes widening as she felt him fill her. "LYAN... OH GODS, YOU’RE SO BIG," she cried out, her voice echoing through the forest. "IT FEELS SO GOOD... SO GOOD!"
Lyan groaned, the feeling of being inside her overwhelming. She was so tight, so warm, and the way she clung to him drove him wild. He began to move, slowly at first, savoring the sensation of her body wrapped around him. Althea’s cries grew louder, her hips rocking in time with his movements.
The forest around them seemed to come alive with the sounds of their lovemaking—the rustling of leaves, the chirping of birds, and the passionate, breathless moans that escaped Althea’s lips. Lyan increased his pace, his movements becoming more urgent as his desire grew. He could feel Althea’s body responding to him, her muscles tightening around him as she neared the edge.
"LYAN... I CAN’T... I’M GOING TO..." Althea’s voice was a breathless scream, her eyes glazed with pleasure.
Lyan leaned down, capturing her lips in a searing kiss as he thrust deeper into her. "COME FOR ME, ALTHEA," he whispered against her lips, his voice a low growl.
With a loud, piercing cry, Althea reached her climax, her body trembling with the force of her release. The sound of her ecstasy echoed through the forest, as if announcing their love to the world around them. Lyan continued to move, drawing out her pleasure, his own release imminent. The intensity of their connection, the way her body responded to his, pushed him over the edge. He groaned deeply, his hips thrusting one last time as he spilled into her, the world narrowing to just the two of them.
For a few moments, they lay there, their bodies entwined, the aftershocks of their pleasure still coursing through them. Lyan rested his forehead against Althea’s, his breathing heavy as he tried to catch his breath. Althea’s fingers gently stroked his back, a contented smile on her lips.
"That was... incredible," Althea murmured, her voice filled with awe and satisfaction.
Lyan smiled, pressing a tender kiss to her forehead. "You are incredible," he replied, his voice soft and affectionate. They lay together in the peaceful forest, the morning sun casting a warm glow over them, feeling the deep connection that bound them together.
As they slowly regained their composure, Lyan helped Althea sit up, both of them smiling and laughing softly at the intensity of their experience. The forest, once silent, now seemed to hum with life, as if sharing in their joyous moment. They spent a few more moments basking in the afterglow before they reluctantly began to dress, the reality of their surroundings returning to them.
"That was quite the adventure," Althea said with a playful grin, her cheeks flushed from both their exertions and the cool morning air.
Lyan chuckled, reaching out to tuck a strand of her hair behind her ear. "Indeed. Though I must admit, finding treasure with you was not quite what I expected," he teased, his eyes sparkling with affection.
Althea laughed, the sound like music to his ears. "Well, the day is still young," she said, her voice full of promise. "Who knows what else we might discover?"
Lyan and Althea, after their intense and intimate moment, decided to press on in their search for the hidden treasure Althea had remembered. Guided by her instincts and faint memories, they made their way deeper into the forest, the trees growing denser and the path less trodden. Lyan was still reveling in the afterglow of their shared passion, but he couldn’t help but feel a sense of anticipation for what they might discover.
As they walked, Althea led them with a confident stride, occasionally glancing back at Lyan with a playful smile. "I remember it being just up ahead," she said, her voice tinged with excitement. "It was a place I stumbled upon years ago, but I could never muster the courage to explore it fully."
Lyan raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "And now you’re bringing me along for the adventure. How kind of you," he teased, his tone light.
Althea laughed softly, her eyes sparkling. "Well, I figured if there’s any danger, you’d be the perfect person to handle it," she replied with a wink.
As they continued, the forest began to thin out, revealing an old, overgrown path. The atmosphere grew still, almost eerie, as they approached what appeared to be ancient ruins. The air was thick with the scent of moss and damp earth, and the faint sound of rustling leaves echoed around them.
Ahead, Lyan noticed a figure moving through the underbrush. It was Honda, Althea’s Castle Guardian Hound, leading the way with an alert and cautious demeanor. The hound’s keen senses seemed to guide them towards a clearing, where the ruins of an ancient structure stood. The building was mostly crumbled, with only a few walls and columns still standing, but what caught their attention were the numerous statues scattered around the area.
The statues depicted sentinels, guards, and knights, all standing in various poses of vigilance and readiness. They were intricately detailed, almost lifelike, and despite their age, they appeared well-preserved. In the center of the clearing, amidst the rubble, lay a pile of weapons and armor—an assortment of magic items that glowed faintly with an otherworldly light.
Althea’s eyes widened in awe as she took in the sight. "This is it," she whispered, her voice filled with wonder. "The hidden treasure I remembered. But... where did these magic items come from?"
Lyan stepped closer to the pile, examining the weapons and armor. They were finely crafted, each piece imbued with magic that pulsed with a subtle energy. "These are high-quality," he noted, a hint of curiosity in his voice. "But it’s strange... I don’t recall the former lord having access to such a treasure trove. It’s almost as if these were hidden here deliberately."
As they pondered the origin of the items, Lyan suddenly felt a subtle shift in the air—a faint, almost imperceptible warning. His instincts, honed from years of combat, immediately went on high alert. He glanced around, his eyes narrowing as he scanned the surrounding forest.
"Something’s coming," Lyan muttered, reaching for his glaive. He quickly summoned his six Shadow Servants and ten Hobgoblin Skeletons that were patroling the perimeter to report and stay vigilant.
Althea, sensing Lyan’s unease, also prepared herself. She reached under her maid uniform and pulled out a small knife, holding it with a steady hand. Her eyes darted around, looking for any signs of movement. "What did they sense?" she asked, her voice tense.
Before Lyan could respond, the sound of rustling leaves and heavy footsteps reached their ears. Emerging from the forest were a group of rugged, heavily armed figures—mountain barbarians, their faces painted with war symbols and their bodies adorned with rough, fur-lined clothing. There were at least sixty of them, a formidable force clearly intent on confrontation.
Lyan sighed, his expression a mix of annoyance and resolve. "Mountain barbarians, and quite a number of them," he remarked. "But what are they doing on the west side of Grafen? The mountains are to the east..."
The barbarians spread out, forming a semi-circle around Lyan and Althea. Their leader, a tall, muscular man with a fierce expression, stepped forward, brandishing a massive axe. He shouted something in a guttural language, his tone aggressive and commanding.
Lyan tightened his grip on his glaive, readying himself for battle. "Stay close to me," he instructed Althea, his voice calm but firm. "I’ll handle this."
Althea nodded, her eyes wide with fear but determined. She held her knife tightly, prepared to defend herself if necessary. As she glanced around, her gaze fell on Honda, who had taken a protective stance beside her. The hound’s eyes gleamed with an intense focus, its ears perked as if listening to some silent command.
Suddenly, Honda let out a deep, resonant howl. The sound echoed through the clearing, reverberating off the ancient stone walls. The effect was immediate and startling—the statues around them began to tremble and shift, as if coming to life.
Lyan and Althea watched in awe as the statues moved, their stone limbs creaking and grinding as they animated. The sentinels, guards, and knights turned their heads, their eyes glowing with a faint light. Slowly, they stepped down from their pedestals, forming a protective perimeter around Lyan and Althea.
The barbarians hesitated, clearly taken aback by the sudden appearance of these animated guardians. The leader barked orders, but his men faltered, uncertainty and fear visible on their faces.
Lyan quickly pieced together what was happening. "Althea," he said, his voice tinged with amazement, "it seems your monster child, Honda, has the ability to control these statues."
Althea looked at Honda, then at the animated statues, her eyes widening in realization. "I... I think you’re right," she murmured, awe and surprise in her voice. "I never knew Honda had this power."
The animated statues stood at attention, their weapons drawn and ready. They formed a formidable line of defense, effectively shielding Lyan and Althea from the barbarians. The leader of the barbarians, clearly unnerved by the turn of events, hesitated, his grip on his axe tightening.
Lyan took advantage of the barbarians’ hesitation. He stepped forward, raising his glaive in a non-threatening gesture. "You have entered my territory uninvited," he called out, his voice commanding and authoritative. "Leave now, and I will spare your lives. Continue, and you will face the wrath of my guardian statues and my blade."
The barbarian leader glared at Lyan, his eyes filled with rage and frustration. But the sight of the animated statues, coupled with the calm confidence in Lyan’s voice, seemed to sway him. He shouted a few harsh words to his men, who began to retreat, casting wary glances at the stone guardians.
Within moments, the barbarians had disappeared back into the forest, leaving Lyan and Althea standing amidst the ruins, surrounded by the silent, watchful statues. Lyan lowered his glaive, letting out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding.
Althea turned to Lyan, her expression a mix of relief and amazement. "That was... incredible," she said, her voice shaky. "I never expected... any of this."
Lyan smiled, reaching out to gently touch her arm. "Neither did I," he admitted, glancing around at the statues. "But it seems Honda has quite the hidden talent."
