Eventually, the one who asked the question answered their queen in an utterly defeated and despaired tone, "I don’t know...."

The queen did not answer, as if she knew this would be her answer all along. Then Thailyn asked the queen, in her teary voice, "But...."

Before she could finish the question, Dyona cut her off: "Yes, I know. Are you supposed to give up your lives just because of those reasons?"

"The answer is no, I don’t know that either. But I do know one thing. That all of you must find your resolution. I simply created the variable that shall force you all to make the choice."

"Whether you are determined to live or die that can only be decided when you are forced to walk on the edge of death. I have simply created that situation for you girls."

"If you’re determination to live is strong enough you would be able to kill the human, if not then you would simply embrace your death. You will only know what to do when you are faced with the ultimate choice. Nothing more, nothing less."

After the queen stated everything she needed to say, she simply vanished as usual and the 5 Fae were left alone in silence. It took a long time for them to come to terms with everything that their queen had said. Till now they all were living without acknowledging their situation fully in their hearts.

But now they were forced to do that whether they liked it or not. They did not blame their queen in this situation because it was their queen who perhaps suffered the most, enduring everything all alone.

The innocent and shy Thailyn after hearing all this had a hollow expression on her face, she felt her entire existence to be worthless. For a moment she looked at her sisters, and then she made a decision. For now, she needed to clear her mind.

Thailyn without saying anything simply went back to her residence, the other 4 watched this silently yet no one said anything. A few moments later they were all gone. It was clear that they all needed time to think about what they would do. They needed to re-evaluate everything about their life.

Back in the throne chamber of Fae Queen Dyona, she was sitting on her throne quietly. Unlike before no trace of sadness could be found on her face. Rather there was a glint of madness sealed within, she muttered to herself in such a low voice that was impossible for anyone else to hear her words, "I’m sorry little ones, even if it’s wrong, I must do this, this is the only way, the only way to........."

Valtar had reached the bottom of the large tree. He was looking at the tree cautiously. Trying to see if there’s any trap there. He ordered the water Fae to go up and check. It bowed slightly at Valtar and climbed the tree, then Valtar personally took control of water Fae and carefully inspected everything to minute details.

Finally not finding anything suspicious. He disconnected himself from the water Fae’s body and climbed on the tree himself. His 3 current ghostbounds stood guard at the bottom. He let out a tired sigh, to be honest, the room was small but neat and clean. It seemed to have everything necessary. A small medieval-looking bathtub is in a separate room. A small bed in the living room. A window that was towards the beautiful forest outside, the scenery was filled with unparalleled beauty, and a gentle breeze was coming through the window and the door.

The room itself had a natural wooden smell permeating through it. Something which only made it more attractive. He found his body relaxing unknowingly. He first removed his clothes from his body. Then, he went to the wooden bathtub filled with water. He showered for 30 minutes and could not help but feel extremely relaxed. Valtar had gone through hell in the last 15-20 days he entered the forest or transmigrated into this body.

He almost fell asleep in the bathtub. Thankfully, he managed to find the energy to get up from the bathtub and dry himself then he put on a simple nightrobe hanging on the side of the bed, it seemed the queen had indeed prepared everything for him. He could not help but think as if he was being treated on a five start hotel.

After drying his hair and body he slumped into the soft embrace of the bed after which felt like an eternity. The moment his body was embraced by the slightly soft bed, he started losing consciousness into the dreamland, he ordered one last thing to the possessed Water and the Thunder Fae.

Then he fell into deep sleep. The two Fae immediately went up the tree and entered the wooden house and both stood on 2 sides of the keeping some distance and protecting their master while he was asleep.

In his sleep, Valtar breathed in and out deeply. Only his slight breathing sound could be heard alongside leaves rustling from the cold wind breeze. Time passed as he slept but at the end back of his mind, he did not completely relax because he was in the enemy territory after all. He was only sleeping to cure his mental and physical fatigue from the constant battles and tension that he had to endure till now. The constant threat of his life always kept him on edge and even now.

Time passed the sun had set, but there was no sign of him waking up. Eventually, after a total of 8 hours had passed his body moved slightly. His pupils shook, he let out a tired yawn and started stretching his body while lying on the bed.

With disheveled hair and a sleepy face he woke up, he looked around and saw the 2 Fae were standing guard. He again surveyed his surroundings with his senses, he did not know if the queen was still spying on him. His stomach growled slightly, he was hungry.

He wanted to eat something before going to sleep but his mind became too tired after that relaxing sleep. His mind connected with shadow snakes, communicating if there was anything that came near them but there was no threat. He ordered the water fae to go and get a good beast he could barbecue and eat. It bowed and went to do just that.

Valtar showered again to refresh himself one more time, he did not know when the next time he would be able to shower, or if he could even escape the forest alive. He sighed and immersed himself in the cold water. There was another window at the side of the bathtub where he could look into the skies. He could not see the moon directly from this window but the soft light illuminated everything outside.

He could see the countless bright stars in the sky, it looked so beautiful that Valtar could not help but soften his gaze. Valtar always felt mesmerized by the beauty of the sky or nature in general. He silently kept gazing at the beautiful stars for 10 whole minutes without thinking anything.

There was nothing but the beauty of stars that reflected in his deep blue eyes at the moment and nothing else. He sighed and moved his gaze away with some unwillingness. At this moment, the water Fae came back with some peculiar beasts that looked similar to rabbits. There were small differences but it did look a lot like rabbits.

He got from the shower, dried himself then began to prepare the tools necessary to barbecue it. He setup everything on the balcony, it was truly majestic if one were to stand at that place. The wooden house was approximately on the level of a 5-story building situated on the branch of a large tree but the tree itself was in total double that length.

Valtar started a small fire, which radiated a warm sensation. His figure was illuminated by the fire as well as the moonlight. He cut the body of the 2 rabbits like beasts in small pieces. Then skewered them into the thin stick and hung them on top of the fire to let them cook. From time to time he rotated the stick to cook all sides of the meat. To be honest he kind of enjoyed the sensation.

To be camping alone in bright moonlight on top of a large tree that was as tall as a 10-story building on a wooden hut with a view that even the most beautiful places on his previous planet could not compare. Who wouldn’t like that?

Not that he was able to visit any of the most beautiful places on earth. So, I guess Valtar didn’t know if this place surpassed all the beauty of the earth. But he believed so, after all, no one would ever be able to enjoy this, especially in this type of bizarre setting. He was at least glad for that.

Well, there’s also the breathtakingly beautiful Fae folks who are trying to take his life, so there’s that. Just at that moment, a familiar innocent voice rang in his ears. "What are chuckling to yourself for?
