Chapter 423: Chapter 407 Wizard
Although Tang Qi is the principal, most of the affairs within the school are actually handled by Eva.
This habit began during the era of Esmeralda.
Most of the time after the Spiritual Tide Return, the Witch Group has been preparing to deal with curses.
All the affairs of the school are controlled by Eva.
Although the Witch School was not a major force before Tang Qi’s arrival, and Secret Phoenix City’s Mysterious Side feared the Witches, anyone must admit that Professor Eva has made significant contributions in establishing order and arranging affairs neatly.
Tang Qi continued this practice, but it has been somewhat hard on Eva.
The Witch School under his control encounters much more trouble than in the Witch era.
A surge of new students, establishing cooperative relationships with the Ancient Castle Bureau, the Church, and the FBI back-to-back, releasing Danger Sources from the Isolation Zone, setting up new courses… It hasn’t been long since Tang Qi took office, yet the school is already undergoing significant changes.
Before going to his residence, Tang Qi first passed by Eva’s office.
Inside, there were various documents and urgent affairs to be dealt with, but none of the things he needed.
Having no choice, he had to go to Eva’s residence.
In the Upper District of Dragon Heart Castle, a standalone Witch Tower.
As Tang Qi walked along the mottled green bricks to the entrance on the first floor, two gemstone parrot sculptures on either side came to life, their obsidian-like pupils staring at Tang Qi before uttering a cold inquiry.
“Password?”
A hint of embarrassment slowly appeared on Tang Qi’s face.
It was not surprising that entering Eva’s residence required a password.
Any teacher within the school or some stronger caretakers would set up magical protection for their residences, not to prevent thieves but mostly to prevent students from accidentally intruding, as some things were commonplace for teachers.
But if students were exposed to them, it could cause significant trouble.
Tang Qi was embarrassed because he did not know the password; he planned to force his way in. His intention was just, to save Professor Eva, but if seen by others, they might mistakenly think he was a perverted principal.
To avoid a real blunder, Tang Qi directly used the Principal’s Token, modified the backend, and added an authority for himself.
Indeed, the oak door engraved with Witch Magic Runes opened at the next moment with a “click-click” sound.
“Welcome, Mr. Principal!”
“Shh”
Just as Tang Qi was about to enter, he was almost scared to death by the two Gem Parrots. After sealing their voices with a magic, Tang Qi quickly darted inside.
Bang!
With a dull thud, Tang Qi saw the first-floor scene of Eva’s residence.
“Workaholic?”
This initial impression arose in Tang Qi’s mind.
He saw a huge wooden desk piled with various documents, utterly messy, with a severely worn magic lamp, quills, and ink that also seemed heavily ravaged by the “writing spell”. Moreover, there were some bookshelves placed around.
The number of books on them was naturally far less than in the Library Tower.
And the content was also different from the books stored in the Library Tower.
At a casual glance, Tang Qi saw books like “Origin Blue Star Extraordinary Institutions Catalog”, “How to Establish a Magic School”, “Historical Construction of Schools by Notable Black Wizards”, “Extraordinary System Verification”… Each one was a thick volume.
From just the titles, one could vaguely infer the content.
Compared to what Tang Qi was interested in, this category could undoubtedly be classified as a collection of “boring Extraordinary Knowledge”.
Several glances were enough for Tang Qi to sketch out the usual work and even the life of Professor Eva.
Tang Qi sighed silently in his heart and didn’t look around much, heading straight to the second floor.
Compared to the workaholic first floor, the second floor was finally much cozier.
Bright lights, ancient and natural furniture, a magic cupboard, and a soft couch, the various antique oil paintings on the wall revealed that the resident was a lady of taste.
Tang Qi’s attention was immediately drawn to the small table beside the bed.
On it lay a thick book, some papers on top, a set of coffee and tea utensils, and a photo frame.
“Found it!”
Tang Qi’s gaze sharpened, immediately spotting the target.
The photo in the frame was a group picture, a man and a woman, the woman naturally being Professor Eva; although greatly changed, her facial features were still hard to forget, only her demeanor had significantly changed, the Eva in the photo was smiling brilliantly, much more cheerful than today’s Eva.
The other person, a male, had pale skin with some mixed features, looking cold yet handsome, wearing a coat modified from a naval uniform, black boots, and a long sword hanging at his waist, the scabbard was simple and vintage.
His other hand was slightly lowered, holding a spiral wooden magic wand.
Even though it was just a photo, Tang Qi could faintly sense the aura of a strong individual.
“A wizard of great charm and impressive strength!”
When he assessed in his mind, Tang Qi reached out and took down the photo frame.
Before turning to leave, a casual glance made him pause.
Beneath that unknown book, surprisingly, were some sketches that Tang Qi found somewhat familiar—those were the R-rated comics he had seen with Professor Eva in Principal Esmeralda’s office, drawn by a bad housebound female comic artist and former principal.
“I didn’t see anything!”
Muttering to himself, Tang Qi no longer delayed.
He turned around to leave Eva’s residence and returned to the Library Tower within ten seconds.
…
Inside the Meditation Room, three figures were seated in meditation.
Tang Qi, Eva, and Diana, still in her corpse state, covered with a faint divine radiance, noble and holy.
The little ones who couldn’t adapt were sent out of the Meditation Room for guarding.
What Tang Qi planned to do was to let his own Soul Power enter the “Mysterious”; if nothing had happened to Eva, he wouldn’t intervene, but if there was a problem with Eva’s promotion, Tang Qi planned to help Eva using Zoe’s method.
Undoubtedly, this was a complex and dangerous action.
Originally, Tang Qi should have made extensive preparations, arranged the proper rituals, or the corresponding Curios, but with “Diana’s Corpse,” these cumbersome procedures could be omitted.
“Let’s begin!”
Without much hesitation, Tang Qi manipulated Diana’s Corpse with his mind.
“Whoosh”
Like a gentle breeze, soft and peaceful.
Visible to the naked eye, Divine Radiance flowed from Diana’s Corpse, instantly the corpse vanished, replaced instead by the real Diana, as if forever residing in her wonderful time during the Dark Age.
The holy radiance spread, gradually enveloping both Tang Qi and Eva.
Above the heads of the three, a majestic gap mysteriously began to emerge, a strand of Soul Power suddenly spilled from Tang Qi’s body, enveloped by Divine Radiance, and gently floated into it.
“Boom!”
Accompanied by an incredibly wonderful sensation, Tang Qi once again witnessed the Endless Universe, bizarre scenes, limitless Abnormality, existences beyond human imagination, flashing by like fleeting light.
