Chapter 380: Chapter 369: Clickbait and Performance

The tavern’s main hall appeared rather ordinary, with its typical retro style that had been all the rage decades ago across the Federation.

At the end, there was a spiral staircase made of some kind of dark yellow wood.

Not just one. All of them leading upwards.

To the side of the spiral staircase, there was also an ancient elevator, so rudimentary that one would hesitate to ride it unless they were seeking an adrenaline rush.

Tang Qi had no issues with the elevator, but being well-informed about the “Old Tavern,” he decisively chose the spiral staircase.

Like most of the “Transcendent guests,” he stepped onto the staircase, ascending step by step. Yet, in a bizarre twist, he found himself as if “the world had sunk,” with his line of sight and footsteps moving upward, but his body appearing underground.

The third level beneath the ground.

The moment Tang Qi’s figure appeared, his eyes immediately reflected the wooden archway in front of him, engraved with some Abnormal runes. The sounds of various noises from inside seeped through, drilling into his ears.

“Fascinating Magic!”

He praised, referring to the inverted spiral staircase he had just left behind.

Indeed, the Old Tavern was a six-story building. But unlike what one saw from the outside, aside from the first floor, the rest of the five levels were deep underground.

As Tang Qi looked around, figures eagerly walked into the bar beside him, all seemingly regulars, unlike Tang Qi, who, despite having heard about the place, was actually visiting for the first time.

As he approached the archway step by step, he distinctly felt curious and mocking gazes sweeping over him from the side, behind, and inside the bar, landing on him.

As if they were waiting for something?

Tang Qi looked at the archway with a smirk and then stepped through it without hesitation.

“Boom~ Splash”

Quite abruptly, the moment Tang Qi’s figure passed through the archway.

A noise suddenly came from above, and looking up, he was shocked to see an enormous beer barrel, its lid blown off, with a waterfall of delicious beer pouring down, not fast enough that any Transcendent could dodge.

But Tang Qi just stared straight ahead, making no move to avoid it.

Until with a “whoosh,” the Phantom dissipated.

“Eh!”

Various sighs of disappointment echoed from corners of the bar.

The excitement fell flat, and all gazes moved elsewhere.

Clearly, this was some sort of a “welcome ritual for new guests,” automatically triggering a Magic that would make one think they were about to get drenched if they entered the bar for the first time. Anyone with a bit of sense would likely choose to dodge, and then it would be an embarrassing spectacle.

Pity that, while the Magic was Secret, it couldn’t escape Tang Qi’s vision.

Tang Qi looked again towards the bar to see a vast, massive space in front of him. The oak floor emanated a faint smell of alcohol, the doorways, walls, and the quaint, elegant arch-shaped ceiling, wooden booths, scattered tables, walls engraved with many intriguing spells, and game areas or individual Secret private rooms.

And at the very center, a luxurious “performance stage.”

There wasn’t a single quiet spot here.

With a hint of Magic Power, the place was bustling but not noisy, and the exciting, comfortable music reverberated in this huge space, clearly audible from any corner, enticing one to immerse themselves in it.

Everywhere one looked, there were Human Figures, oh no, Monster Shadows, even making up a greater proportion.

Every single patron was a Transcendent.

Here, they had almost abandoned their Species, Camps, reveling in joy.

Various Extraordinary Drinks and the best-selling Tyrone Tree Beer were served everywhere by scantily clad servers exuding strong affinity, half-human girls and boys.

Indeed, the servers here included Bunny Girls, Catwomen, Sheep Girls, Maids, Witch Girls… and some strong, muscular half-human men.

For instance, at that moment, a “Bull Herder” with thick and furry legs, the upper body of a perfect muscle man, carrying more than a dozen glasses of beer, slowly walked past Tang Qi, nodding his head adorned with curved bull horns.

He politely said, “Welcome to the Old Tavern!”

Having said that, he walked away, stepping on the floor, swaying his body. As he left, a piece of coarse cloth at his waist lifted slightly, allowing Tang Qi to see something unintended, something that would make most human males feel inferior.

“Shameless… They sure know how to do business!”

Tang Qi suddenly remembered the Mysterious Valley in Messer City, previously under Savoy’s control, and thought it was a decent bar.

But compared to what he was seeing now, it seemed as crude as a countryside pub.

This place clearly didn’t just satisfy male Transcendents, even females could find everything they wanted, truly embodying a business-savvy environment without blind spots.

“It looks like Savoy really has moved up, and definitely become more Fallen.”

Tang Qi mused to himself as he walked into the main area, past the performance stage, right ahead. There, strikingly, was the huge, luxurious bar counter, behind which an evidently familiar Abnormal figure stood.

It was busily directing the other bartenders, while its seven arms waved into Phantoms, generating one glass of Extraordinary Drink after another on the bar counter to be taken away by the girls and boys, distributed throughout the place.

“Savoy!”

Tang Qi suddenly appeared on a high stool, giving a greeting.

Immediately, an ostentatious mask appeared out of nowhere in front of Tang Qi.

“Golden?”
