Chapter 337: 331 Uninvited Guest
Chapter 337: Chapter 331 Uninvited Guest
Castle Upper District, an area close to the Cliff Lighthouse, where dozens of students, along with teachers and caregivers, lay paralyzed on the ground from poisoning, helplessly watching as mist, which morphed into poisonous pythons, climbed towards them, seizing their feet, little by little, intending to envelop their bodies.
The hoarse and unpleasant voice spewed from the mouth of the leading Fallen Witch, her mother’s resentful shade of an old woman, repeating her daughter’s words one by one, forming a sinister chorus.
“Do not be afraid, my children, I will become the mother to you all, I won’t hurt you, you just need a bit of a transformation, and upon successful transformation, you will become one of us, and if you fail, you will become its nourishment.”
“So, by all means, do not resist, the more corrupt the soul, the deeper the fall, the higher the chance of a successful transformation…”
In the forefront stood a witch with deep-set features, eyes like sapphires, and golden, wavy curls.
She looked at the poison fog that covered most of her body and the ferocious, roaring heads emerging from within. These were clearly the “failures” of the transformation process, and it seemed she had finally made up her mind.
A look of resolute determination emerged in her eyes, an expression that only appeared when faced with death.
Dangerous intent rapidly brewed within her.
She had a Forbidden Technique, a very powerful one, incapable of resolving the Fallen Witch but perhaps enough to save some students’ lives, at the cost of her own.
As she clenched her teeth, preparing to cast the Taboo Witchcraft.
Suddenly, everyone sensed something.
Did the moonlight suddenly grow hotter?
Whether it was the students, teachers, or invaders, they all lifted their heads at the same time.
Without any warning, what reflected in their eyes was not the misty purple moon radiance, but a fiery red light and flames, a blaze like a falling meteor, filling their vision.
“Boom!”
It descended, the firelight dropping instantly.
But the explosive sound they expected did not occur, the flames that spread across the ground seemed sentient; they split in an instant, the part flowing towards the students and teachers burnt all the poison mist to ashes.
And the flames that surged towards the “invaders” unleashed unimaginable destructive power.
Apart from the Fallen Witch who was protected by the leader and some quick-witted, more powerful monsters, most of the Lizard Men, Assemblers, Carrion Eaters, and Deformed Hunting Hounds were dragged into the sea of fire instantly.
Flame Spell?
Yes and no.
After cultivating the “Molten Furnace Refining Method,” Tang Qi had infused some of the Melting Furnace Power into the Flame Spell.
The monsters’ bodies could withstand the burning of the flames but could not resist the devastation of the Melting Furnace Power. The fiery flames purged everything, their bodies disintegrated within, turning into black ashes that fell softly, with not even a cry of pain throughout.
When the flames returned to Tang Qi’s body, the fire in the Melting Furnace grew even more vigorous.
The surviving monsters, along with the once endangered students and faculty members, were all stunned, watching a figure emerge from the flames.
He was a young gentleman, in a linen shirt and a long coat, cradling a little girl covered in blood, holding an old-fashioned leather case, with a shadow suddenly rippling behind him. Noah, leading Nina, the two little ones both excited and fearful.
In front of them was the Mysterious Dragon Heart Castle, the Legendary Land that had been talked about around Green Dragon Ridge Lake for many years, and the “Main Campus” of Merada Special Education School.
Tang Qi calmly observed everything before him. Part of the castle had become ruins, issues he would need to attend to in the future, a twinge of distress passing across his face.
Then, a gentle smile appeared on his lips. He turned to the stunned students and the group of teachers and caregivers as if his voice could make them forget their pain, “Nice to meet you, I am Tang Qi, your new Principal!”
New Principal?
Everyone was stunned.
Whether the students, teachers, or caregivers, obviously no one expected a new principal to appear at this time.
The only “Informer” was the black-dress witch with sapphire eyes, her look of resolute yet to fade, gazing at Tang Qi with a probing eye.
At that moment, Tang Qi was also looking at her.
With a faint smile, something appeared in front of him.
It was the “Silver Badge” he had shown Noah and Nina before, bearing the symbol of Merada Witch.
The two little ones didn’t understand what the badge meant, but she did.
It was Esmeralda’s “Token,” the token of each generation’s Witch Leader.
Tang Qi’s possession of it was proof enough.
Just as the witch was about to say something, Tang Qi suddenly raised his hand, and a speck of golden light bloomed in the air.
“Boom~”
“Hum!”
A Golden Protective Shield instantly expanded, blocking the poison fog released by the Fallen Witch on the outside. Her roar rang out.
“Kill him!”
Even if unaware of who this young man that had suddenly appeared was, the monsters realized he was the impediment to their pillaging of the Secret Realm.
The surviving monsters were either elites or leaders.
As they charged together, the ground beneath the castle trembled. Tang Qi ignored the monsters, his gaze fixed on the Fallen Witch Leader, and calmly said, “It seems you know who I am!”
His voice, and this calm, almost dismissive gaze, only served to further enrage the Fallen Witch.
Armed with certain information that gave her an ominous premonition, she violently tore off the head of the old woman that had been incessantly babbling at her ear with a “Boom.”
With a glare full of spite, Tang Qi observed within the poisonous mist tide, myriad heads revealing themselves, all roaring in unison.
“Esmeralda’s little boyfriend, the laughable Demigod Slayer, I’ll kill you right now to demonstrate just how hypocritical and ridiculous the Merada Witches are, to think they would send a high school student pretending to be a Savior to protect this Secret Realm.”
“You will die here.”
To reinforce her words, the Fallen Witch had already launched various attacks amidst her roaring.
The tide of poison mist could not corrode the Protective Shield, and so the numerous heads began to leap up, densely covering the shield in an attempt to devour it clean.
At the same time, from the witch’s body, disgusting pus bags began to burst rapidly, splattering juices that transformed into streams of “yellow water arrows.” Each water arrow emitted a nauseating odor so strong, it could knock someone out completely, shooting towards the Protective Shield.
Silently, a black cloud formed above Tang Qi’s head. Pitch-black rain, amidst the mist and Resentful Souls’ wails, began to fall.
“Sizzle”
A droplet splashed onto the tile, immediately creating a dark, inky hole that continued to deepen.
This assault was far from over. Lowering her head slightly, the Fallen Witch and the other witches did likewise. They began chanting a certain Spell, their near-naked ugly bodies lit up with strange patterns and symbols glowing darkly.
Evil intent, which felt as if it could tear apart the soul, seeped out like thick black threads from their bodies, enveloping the entire area.
“Roar~”
“Ahhh”
“Stop it!”
The indiscriminate curse first claimed the few surviving monsters as its victims.
As their souls were harmed, they began to wildly attack each other, devouring one another.
Yet this surging malevolence could not shake the Golden Shield even in the slightest.
Tang Qi continued to watch the Fallen Witches with calm eyes, ignoring the terrifying attacks in front of him. In a tone that simply stated the facts, he affirmed, “It seems you cannot prove yourselves.”
“Now, it’s my turn to prove something.”
Tang Qi’s words made the witches falter for a moment, nearly breaking out of the curse state.
What do you have to prove?
As doubt arose in the witches’ minds, Tang Qi suddenly disbanded the Guardian Spell, and the incredible golden Protective Shield that had blocked all attacks disappeared, prompting smirks to surface on the ugly faces of the Fallen Witches.
Has his Magic Power run dry?
The normal thought was shattered by the merciless reality in the next moment.
After confirming an idea, Tang Qi did not intend to give these ugly, disgusting witches any more time for their performance.
As he stepped forward, he directly said, “I’ll prove that Esmeralda’s judgment is not wrong. There are indeed individuals in Secret Phoenix City that I need to be wary of, but that does not include the Fallen Witches. Esmeralda’s comment about you is very accurate.”
“Ugly… and weak!”
“Whoosh”
As his words fell, the witches’ angry gaze swept over.
Extreme Red light and Golden Light Flames, now further upgraded “Red,” pulled the witches and those few monsters still slaughtering each other into the Illusion World in a single moment.
Boom!
A crimson sea of flames covered everything instantly, the scene at the beginning unfolded once again.
Witches and monsters, like paper figures within the sea of fire, disintegrated and melted away bit by bit, black ashes falling. The only exceptions were two entangled Resentful Souls, two heads, one of an ugly young woman, the other of an old woman, trying to escape from the fire sea.
But as soon as they surfaced, a pale hand reached out and dragged them back in.
“Whoosh”
The hot wind, still warm, blew scattering across a site of Ruins, all sources of foul odors, the monsters, were gone.
Only a young figure stood there silently, crushing the ash between his fingers, casually dusting it off as if he had merely exterminated some insignificant bugs.
But the next moment, Tang Qi did not turn around to celebrate and cheer with the students and faculty. His face still bore an air of calm.
He looked at the surrounding Nihility, and with a detached tone, said, “Dear uninvited guests, the school will be temporarily closed, including all Magic Passages, so I ask that you all leave this place. It will remain open for ten breaths.”
“Whoosh~”
While speaking, Tang Qi waved his hand and a portal appeared in the void.
The cold wind that gusted in immediately revealed a surging lake and an endless lake surface beyond the portal. Even the most perceptive Transcendent could not see the far shore of Secret Phoenix City, which lay tumultuous in luxury.
This was the central area of Green Dragon Ridge Lake.
