Chapter 301: Chapter 299 My World
“Because of her body that possessed both male and female characteristics, Norma could never confirm to which gender she belonged, even killing her parents did not resolve this confusion, until she met him.”
“He was so tall, gentle, and powerful — Samuel. She affirmed her own gender and became one of his pets.”
“That’s right, Samuel Winston, with his distinguished family background and formidable strength, could not possibly have just one pet. His collection included beautiful girls, charming boys, and even some unique Extraordinary Creatures, such as Enchanting Demons.”
“However, Norma believed she could become the most special one among them, and she proved it. Using her unique body, she completely conquered Samuel, who even killed all his other pets for Norma and personally placed a mask with Extraordinary Power on her.”
“That mask was a treasure far more precious than a collar; once worn, no one except Samuel Winston could remove it. It symbolized Samuel’s favoritism, and in this world, he was the only one who could appreciate Norma’s visage.”
“A gift from the Love God… These were the words Samuel often whispered in her ear when showering her with affection.”
…
On a naval warship, Tang Qi and Sally were looking at an eerie and disturbing scene in front of them.
Sometimes, too much realism is not a good thing.
Especially when there’s a narrator providing detailed commentary in the background.
Sally had already covered her face tightly with both hands, whereas Tang Qi watched with keen interest.
Information explosion from Previous Earth, although the scene before them was unique, to Tang Qi, it merely classified as “curiosity”.
Indeed, a curious love story.
It was nothing but a “gender ambiguous” individual meeting a noble who dabbled in both men and women, nearly a perfect match. In a peaceful era, such a story, if turned into a movie, could undoubtedly sweep all major film awards.
Unfortunately, the era when this story took place was the long Old Calendar Era.
Or perhaps, the Dark Age.
The subsequent developments also proved this point.
“Although Samuel Winston was a noble, a powerful Transcendent, and a distinguished naval officer, he was also an Explorer. His family had always carried legends about the Immortals, and Earl Winston, influenced by these, always sought to find the Immortal to tap into its power to achieve Divinity.”
“This was normal; the Dark Age was not only an era riddled with Devils, Evil Gods or other indescribable entities but also an era of heroes and strong figures. Countless Transcendents, in pursuit of Eternal Life, immortality or even greater powers, chased various legends and embarked on reckless adventures.”
“Earl Winston wasn’t the first, nor would he be the last, but he was definitely among those who failed.”
“After spending a passionate time with Norma, Earl Winston exhausted his family fortune, purchased a mighty warship, recruited many Transcendents, assembled his own fleet, and started to follow the major sea routes in search of that legend.”
“Finally, they discovered a Mysterious Island not recorded on any map, with traces of humans, unimaginably powerful humans…”
“Samuel Winston died!”
“In the very first assault, the fleet suffered heavy losses. The Transcendents recruited by Earl Winston were just fillers; obviously, money was only effective on lower-level Transcendents. When Samuel Winston realized this, his body was pierced through by a long spear.”
“The one who launched the spear was a female native from the island, standing on a snow-white cliff with a towering mountain behind her and a sea of clouds wrapped in lightning roiling around, her body seemed to emanate a golden glow, as if she was the legendary Female War God.”
…
“Buzz”
At that moment, Tang Qi and Sally were also aboard the Immortal, not bothering with the dying Samuel Winston or the deeply grieving Norma, their gazes were completely fixed on the Female War God on the cliff.
As “Observers,” what they saw were true phantoms, but not the actual reality.
So Tang Qi’s Special Ability was also declared ineffective at this moment.
But he doubted, even if it was True.
With his current strength, facing such a “strong” entity, all he would probably see was gibberish.
The following scene, as well as the voiceover by his side, not only utterly stunned Sally but also brought an unmistakable horror to Tang Qi’s eyes.
Earl Winston died, the Immortal Fleet was almost completely annihilated.
The remaining Transcendent crew members hastily sailed the “Immortal” away from the horrific waters, then invariably proceeded with the dividing of the spoils.
The spoils strikingly included “Norma.”
But the crew members did not know, the “pretty and special pet” in their eyes hid a Devil inside.
The death of Samuel Winston set it free.
Norma!
She held Samuel’s corpse, her tears dried up.
She neither ate nor drank, her plump body gradually withering, her black hair slowly wilting, and just as she was about to completely wither like a flower… she moved, she took off the crimson cloak from the count’s back, draped it over herself, then she lowered her head, gently kissing her decaying, swollen “lover.”
The gorgeous, luxurious mask slowly lifted up, revealing a face unimaginably beautiful, as she passionately kissed, gradually opening her mouth, slowly burying it into her lover’s chest… She began to eat.
When the crew members, having finished their discussion, returned to the deck, they did not find Norma.
What they saw was a gorgeous mask, a crimson cloak, and a pair of cold, crazed eyes.
Norma was dead!
A brand-new Samuel Winston, born!
…
When the “Immortal” once again drifted into the port, this battleship that would later gain a notorious reputation only had three figures left on it.
One was human, the other two were “Ghosts,” witnessing in a very special way, the whole process of a young person from a remote small town named “Norma” transforming into Samuel Winston.
And, there was also a voiceover explanation.
The Immortal docked, and the new Samuel slowly walked towards the ship’s gangway.
Whoosh!
A gust of sea breeze ferociously blew past.
The cloak, blood-like, fluttered, then without any warning it expanded, soon filling the entire field of vision of Tang Qi and Sally.
The originally emotionless “voiceover” suddenly took on a particularly sinister intonation at this moment.
“Welcome… to my world!”
In a whisper, a gorgeous, elaborate mask continuously enlarged in their eyes.
