Chapter 299: Chapter 297 Diana’s Corpse

The last person left the church, and the former Earl Castle once again became “Land without Master.”

In the shadows, the Transcendent Ones finally no longer needed to hold back, especially those representing the Immortal Council and the Seven Ancestor Descendants, who rushed into the castle without regard for anything else.

The Wild Transcendent Ones trying to make a profit in the chaos were the first to be eliminated.

Boom!

Boom!

Both the sky and the ground burst forth with twelve uniquely terrifying auras, each different yet harmoniously fused together, enveloping the entire Earl Castle. Any foreign Extraordinary Aura that entered was detected in an instant.

Then, regardless of how weak those auras were, they all met with the assault of twelve powerful forces.

The smarter Transcendent Ones pulled away at the critical moment.

But some foolish ones had to pay the price, such as their lives.

“Bang!”

The first Transcendent, who seemed to have Demon Bloodline, a Big Man with a giant bull head and dressed in armor, attempted to charge in and break through the Church’s doors to find some treasures within. However, at that moment, he collided with a special “Barrier.”

The twelve terrifying auras flickered around him one after another.

The first appeared were seven colorful radiances that could stir up Desire, followed by five distinct symbols.

Of these, Tang Qi had already seen those representing the “descendants of Anna,” “Harmon Descendants,” and “Ragnar Descendant.”

As for the unseen ones, they belonged to the remaining two families of the Immortal Council.

The “Rudolph” family, which was a mass of irregular, huge Flesh, with different Monster faces emerging from it, roaring and twisting.

And the “Vite” family, a silhouette of a Human Figure shedding its skin, with head raised high and a bright red mouth holding a Moth.

The bull-headed Transcendent didn’t even have the chance to touch the Church’s doors with his pair of bull horns. As other Transcendents looked on, he was torn apart by the twelve forces, Blood and Flesh scattered across the sky, and a bull head flew high before falling onto the plaza with a “thud.”

A warning voice, layered with multiple voices, came from above the Church.

“Annoying insects, you dare not offend the Bright Church, do you think you can offend the Immortal Council and the Seven Ancestor Alliance?”

“Come, continue with your charges, with your flesh and blood, witness our glory.”

With the voice falling, the real war inside the Church erupted.

The forces of the Twelve Ancestors’ descendants had already entered, and they were fighting for the last time before the “deadline.”

“Indeed, when it comes to life and the Source of Power, even an organization like the Immortal Council that can recruit powerful Transcendent Ones eventually has to use such an unappreciated and strenuous method.”

Tang Qi and Sally, viewing the war inside the Church from a special perspective.

The Wild Transcendent Ones, after the declaration of the Twelve Ancestors’ descendants, shrank back obediently.

So at this moment, inside was left only the showdown between the Immortal Council and the Seven Ancestor Descendants.

And they used their powers in exactly the same way.

Just as they had earlier fought against the “Bright Heavy Armor Knights,” using a type of Curios as a medium, they forced their Bloodline Power through the Curses and into Winston Town.

The consequence of doing so was that they were incredibly powerful yet fleeting.

A few minutes was their limit.

However, this time was enough for these mad Ancestor Descendants to dismantle the entire Church.

Even, just a few breaths would suffice.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Violent explosions occurred inside the Barrier, the majestic and solemn Church, also part of the Earl Castle, collapsed at this moment, ancient brick walls, stained-glass windows, exquisite reliefs, and towering spires… all collapsed amidst the thunderous noise.

This terrifying disturbance was blocked by the Barrier, the residents preparing for the “Pirate Carnival” had long been asleep and unable to sense what was happening here.

The terrified Transcendent Ones, along with Tang Qi and Sally, perhaps along with transcendent beings like the “Tree Demon Granny,” they witnessed the conduct of the war, and following that, in the depths of the Ruins, was a sight that astonished everyone.

The collapsing castle, the twelve forces intertwined and weakened, while grinding away layer by layer the grounds of the Ruins.

Various Phantoms representing the twelve Ancestors flashed like Fireworks.

Then, in the next moment, they were completely overshadowed by a sudden, horrifying aura.

“Boom~Hum!”

In the grinding depths, a thing appeared.

It was a grave, a crudely simple grave, within which the Corpse was wrapped in burlap.

When touched by the twelve “Ancestor Powers,” the burlap cloth turned to ash in an instant, revealing the Corpse within.

A female Corpse!

She was left with only skeletons, but for some reason, as she slowly floated down, a Divine Radiance, faintly emanated from the dark Corpse, the Bloodline Power of the twelve Ancestors at that time seemed to be born just to protect her.

No need for a beautiful, holy flesh, just a Corpse, could also make one feel an Eternal, Immortal aura.

“What is this…?”

At this moment, not only Tang Qi, all watching Transcendent Ones showed shocked expressions.

Especially those aware of the “Ancestor Curse” had a vague guess.

And for Tang Qi, this guess directly became a reality.

An unprecedented surge of ghost light emerged.

[Curios: Immortal Corpse.]

[State: Normal.]

[Information Fragment One: Since the obscure ancient times, there have always been individuals with a special constitution known as “Immortals.” They are the most suitable vessels for Divine beings to be reborn in, so they are coveted by countless Transcendents, and with it comes Misfortune… The owner of this Corpse, Diana Winston, was one such unfortunate Immortal.]

[Information Fragment Two: As a child, she was parasitized by a Divine being, but on the day that the parasitism matured, the Divine Power within her was forcefully taken away, resulting in her Death. She was hastily buried by a Witch in the garden of the castle.]

[Information Fragment Three: The residual power within this Corpse can serve as a medium to find another “Immortal.”]

“Not good!”

Tang Qi had no time to experience the powerful impact of these successive Information Fragments as the emergence of the third Information Fragment immediately made him aware of a strong malice.

His premonition quickly turned into reality.

The twelve ancestral powers that had been slaughtering each other on the ruins abruptly stopped, then without warning, formed a circle. They flickered, guarding Diana’s Corpse, and in the void, a black hole-like portal was torn open.

From within it, a massive eye fell out.

It seemed to be made entirely of tremendous Magic Power, with the whites resembling the radiance of a purple moon, and the pupil area was an endless Dark abyss. From within, black tendrils spilled out, wrapping around Diana’s Corpse…

Boom!

It began—the giant eyeball enclosing the Corpse rose like a true “Moon.”

Shielded by the twelve rays of Light, it cast illumination over the entirety of Winston Town.

All Transcendents, regardless of what disguise they used, began to falter under the moonlight.

The dagger appears once the painting is unfinished!

The true objective of the descendants of the twelve patriarchs was still Sally.

Daughter of Destiny?

No, she is an Immortal!

Sally is another “Immortal.”

The moment Tang Qi realized this, he saw many Transcendents exposed under the light of the giant eye, revealing their true forms.

That eyeball was a High-level Curio.

A ghostly light surged in Tang Qi’s eyes once more.

[Curio: Vite’s Eye.]

[State: Normal.]

[Information Fragment One: The eyeball of “Vite,” one of the Thirteen Ancestors and founder of the Immortal Council. It possesses the power to see through most disguises and innately has attack powers such as locking onto and Shocking souls. Not even the Transformation Secret Medicine can escape the might of Vite’s Eye.]

[Information Fragment Two: …]

“Sigh”

Tang Qi had no time to check the other Information Fragments, as the next moment, the “moonlight” released by Vite’s Eye was headed towards the apartment where Tang Qi and Sally were.

As the “target,” Sally fell into a stupor upon seeing Diana’s Corpse.

Before this, many Transcendents were forced by Vite’s Eye to reveal their true identities.

But no conflict arose, for those were not the “Daughter of Destiny” the descendants of the Twelve Ancestors were seeking.

She was standing right beside Tang Qi.

At this moment, Tang Qi’s mind was racing to its limits.

Sally had taken an incomplete Transformation Secret Medicine, originally thought to be enough to deceive everyone.

But what Tang Qi saw in the Information Fragment denied this possibility.

Tang Qi’s mind was frantically recalling all the Curios he owned, or perhaps a piece of witchcraft, that could evade Vite’s Eye’s Insight?

One by one, his collection was ruled out.

As for witchcraft, it was the same; even though the Illusion Spell was powerful, it definitely couldn’t negate the might of a Curio made from part of the body of a centuries-old Monster, especially now that there was also Diana’s Corpse as a medium.

“Hm?”

Suddenly, Tang Qi seemed to think of something, his expression changing.

Without hesitation, he seized “Gluttony,” turned it roughly over, and then pulled something out from inside it.

A disgusting, flesh-like bundle!

A Curio that he had whimsically purchased along with Gluttony for collection purposes.

The stomach of a Corrosor!

Practically speaking, it was not as good as Gluttony and even less useful than most space-type Curios because it corroded anything stored inside.

But at this moment, it was immensely useful.

It… could contain living things.

“Buzz”

Tang Qi sharply tapped the stomach, and amidst the surge of Magic Power, it quickly inflated into a huge, gory pouch that upturned, engulfing himself and Sally.

The pouch snapped shut with a “whoosh” and landed with a “plop.”

The presence of both Tang Qi and Sally disappeared without a trace, the Pocket Space was a completely different space.

A shadow emerged from the corner of the apartment, wrapped up the stomach, and dragged it to the place where raw meat was kept in the kitchen.

Gluttony, dragging its bright red tongue, panted after it.
