Chapter 290: Chapter 152 The First Battle with Xing Dian!_2
’Of course, I won’t bother either,’ he clicked his tongue.
He heard Wang Jixuan’s shout from behind, turned his head for a glance and then took two more photos.
’Wow, the half-human mecha on a date just broke up.’
’Love and all that is deceitful. Young people should wake up sooner and pursue truth and power.’
’This half-human mecha is still at a primitive stage of modification, not worth risking exposure... I’m just here to investigate, consider yourselves lucky.’
Xing Dian smirked coldly and, having observed the infant care center, continued his search.
He sniffed and returned to the concrete road, drifting forward, searching for the occasional faint waves of spiritual energy and the tracks on the ground.
Some tracks were clear and parallel, evidently from vehicles that had entered and exited the area...
Xing Dian gradually approached Uncle Tai’s studio.
He put on a pair of ’sunglasses,’ lightly touched the frame, and the studio’s holographic shielding device seemed to malfunction, revealing the contours of the building inside.
Xing Dian’s eyes lit up.
He quietly moved forward, very carefully infiltrating the range of the shielding device, and immediately a wall appeared before him.
Taking off his sunglasses, he lightly tapped his toes, gradually rising two meters, his toes touching the top of the wall, his figure stable and unmoving. He raised his camera and rapidly pressed the shutter.
Some piles of Blade Beast Outer Bone were stacked in the courtyard. Through the window on the first floor of the building, one could also see an operating production line.
Xing Dian became alert.
No workers?
He lifted his left hand, aiming at the entire building, his palm mysteriously acquired a pair of eyes, casting a purple light onto the building.
No sign of any people, just seven or eight autonomous security robots stationed near the production line.
’It might be a trap.’
’Alright, for the sake of that material, there should be nothing here capable of threatening me.’
Xing Dian was about to float down when he paused, pondered a bit, and still took out another small device, sweeping it inside for two minutes.
’Great, no nuclear weapons, nor any nuclear battery reactions from half-human mechas.’
Xing Dian’s toes slid, and finally, he landed outside the door of the first-floor production workshop, looked inside for a few moments, and was immediately captivated.
Inside were three simple assembly lines, each about ten meters long.
This area produces large, medium, and small models of Demon-breaking Dagger casings.
Xing Dian looked intently for a while and captured the entire production process of the sharp ’casings’ of the Demon-breaking Daggers.
The technology used here involved an integral die-casting process that he had learned about; after die-casting, there’s a sort of internal carving technique that engraved some ’patterns’ inside these casings.
Patterns?
Xing Dian’s expression grew more solemn.
He had many secrets, secrets that the Six Elders and those old classmates didn’t know about.
His understanding of the Spirit Cultivation Civilization might even surpass that of the Six Elders, his Snow Mountain Base was not as simple as it seemed on the surface.
The Six Elders gave him S-grade materials but didn’t provide him with the ’ruined wall’ needed for the Promotion Ceremony, clearly being cunning.
What Xing Dian currently lacked was precisely S-grade materials; for everything else, he had already prepared eighty percent.
Now, seeing these patterns on the casings of the Demon-breaking Daggers, Xing Dian felt like his nerves were on edge, and he couldn’t resist picking up a small casing to examine it closely.
—Thanks to the design ideas provided by Wang Jixuan, and the constant improvements by Uncle Tai and his researchers, the main Prohibitions of the Demon-breaking Daggers were concentrated on the inner core, with very few prohibition pathways on the casing.
’It really is from Spirit Cultivation Civilization!’
Xing Dian’s pupils dilated sharply, his entire being overcome with excitement.
Ding ding!
Noises from machinery running came from above.
Xing Dian put down the casing, his form drifted towards the stairwell, letting his camera hang in front, with a dagger appearing in his left hand.
Using the Holographic Belt to conceal his figure, he slowly moved upstairs and saw a broad space mixed with production and living areas, graffiti painted on several concrete pillars, and a few sofas placed in corners, a three-dimensional screen displaying surveillance footage from all around.
In the diagonal position of the living area, a transparent container displayed twenty complete Demon-breaking Daggers lined up, suddenly a burst of electric arc appeared above the container, striking these Demon-breaking Daggers, causing most of them to light up and a few to get scorched.
Simulated thunder strikes?
Xing Dian raised his camera and took a photo, his gaze then drawn to the dozens of table and chair sets.
Nothing special, but the tables and chairs retained faint spiritual energy, apparently also part of the production line...
Besides, Xing Dian had already noticed, there was an empty spaced area in the middle with some traces on the ground, proving that two pieces of equipment had once been there, just recently moved away.
’I really have been exposed.’
Xing Dian’s lips curled into a calm smile, which gradually turned sinister.
He walked slowly towards the Thunder Box, preparing to take the Demon-breaking Daggers.
Thus, he would have completed the mission.
All he needed to do next was to deliver Fu Jian’s secret weapon to the Six Elders, and then sit back and watch the Six Elders fight among themselves. He might even reap the benefits...
Xing Dian stopped in his tracks six or seven meters away from the Thunder Box, raised his mechanical limb, and gently pushed it towards the box.
The Thunder Box instantly tipped over, exposing the High Explosive Detonators hidden below.
’Just this?’
Xing Dian let out a cold laugh. His mechanical limb moved swiftly as telekinesis formed two large hands that picked up the two Demon-breaking Daggers scattered on the ground and floated them in front of him, where he gripped them with his mechanical limb.
This thing, how does it easily penetrate the Blade Beast Outer Bone...
Beep beep beep beep!
Something’s wrong!
Xing Dian was just about to throw the daggers away, but two balls of fire had already exploded; the ’Demon-breaking Daggers’ outer shell was instantly blasted into fragments, and the fiery ball and high-energy fragments surged towards him.
Boom!
Xing Dian was blasted backward!
But, as he flew towards the window, about five to six meters away, his body staggered a few steps and he steadied his form, not falling.
Much of his equipment was destroyed.
The blasted side, his face, shoulder, and chest were scorched black; his mechanical arm had been blasted off below the wrist.
Xing Dian’s nostrils trembled constantly, gently shaking his body, his old yet mighty one-armed figure burst out with a terrifying pressure!
His scorched skin quickly regrew fresh blood and skin.
Xing Dian looked around vigilantly, his silver-white hair missing patches, and his appearance was ragged and wretched.
He bellowed, "Come out!"
Daoist Wang’s voice floated over, "An S-grade skin is really thick; even that didn’t cause serious injury."
Xing Dian abruptly turned, but saw only an empty chair in the corner.
The light there flickered slightly.
Wang Jixuan turned off the optical invisibility of the War Armor, appearing boldly in front of Xing Dian, his left hand holding a real Demon-breaking Dagger, tossing and catching it repeatedly.
Behind that silver-white Demon Helmet, Wang Jixuan’s lips revealed a faint cold smile.
Xing Dian’s nostrils trembled, he coldly said, "Is it you?"
Wang Jixuan responded nonchalantly, "Don’t talk as if we know each other. Have we ever met?"
He was throwing out a smokescreen, merely buying time.
Xing Dian let out a cold laugh, "Of course familiar, Mo Feng’s assassination had your involvement, and my students’ issues seem related to you as well, though I lack solid evidence. This armor you’re wearing, should be Fu Jian’s latest work of pride? Very well, I’ll take this armor as a bit of compensation from Fu Jian."
Wang Jixuan blandly said, "Do you want this dagger? You came here for it, right... I knew it, once this thing was handed to the military, secrets couldn’t be kept."
"Hand it over, I’ll let you die more peacefully."
"Well then, here you go."
Wang Jixuan tossed the Demon-breaking Dagger casually at Xing Dian.
Xing Dian raised his hand to catch it but then thought of something, dodging backward instead, letting the Demon-breaking Dagger fly past his shoulder and out the window.
Xing Dian waited a few seconds.
No explosion?
Was it remotely detonated?
"Tsk," Wang Jixuan couldn’t help but chuckle, "That’s a real Demon-breaking Dagger, equipped with Spirit Cultivation Civilization technology. Did the explosion knock your wits out, old devil Xing Dian?"
Xing Dian turned around and headed towards the window, but his form suddenly dipped, darting down to the first floor.
The two Destruction Cannons targeting the window instantly lost their target.
Daoist Wang muttered under his breath, ’Tricky old devil,’ and flipped backward, jumping out the back window.
The Daoist spread his right hand, a concealed Magic Artifact spear flew into his grasp, he rotated vertically, crashing through the first-floor window glass, and landed steadily on the first floor, face to face with Xing Dian who had just rushed down.
Xing Dian narrowed his eyes;
Wang Jixuan’s eyes blazed with black flames;
Both charged at the same time!
Wang Jixuan used his spiritual sense as a sword, slashing forward fiercely, starting with the strongest strike!
