As soon as the door was opened, two men entered the room in a hurry.

"We are here to rescue you," one of them said.

He kicked the bedpost directly and broke the wooden post. The moment the handcuff was freed from the bedpost, he pulled at Yan Yuling’s arm, and said, "Let’s go."

Along the way, Yan Yuling saw the bodies lying on the ground. Her horror grew with each step as she took in the situation.

The ground was soaked with blood, and the sticky feeling beneath her feet made her more nauseous and dizzy.

Her face turned pale as she passed a corpse. She took a look and realized that the dead body was the burly man from before. He was lying lifeless on the ground with his eyes wide open.

Seeing his empty eyes, Yan Yuling was unable to hold back her nausea and vomited immediately, "Ugh! Cough! Cough! Cough!"

The man holding her arm frowned when he saw her pale face. He pulled her along while saying, "Hold on and keep moving."

Feeling weak due to her hematophobia, Yan Yuling could only nod and drag her feet. She wiped her lips and focused on the man’s back, no longer daring to look around. When they reached the deck, five men were waiting for them.

"Quick, we only have five minutes," one man said as he helped Yan Yuling into a jet boat.

Once she was seated, the rest of the men quickly jumped into the boat while another man started the boat. As they moved away from the fishing boat, Yan Yuling turned around in a daze. Before she could process what was happening, the fishing boat suddenly exploded.

BOOM!

"Ahh!" she screamed and covered her ears instinctively.

Curled up on the ground, she felt the jet boat shake from the blast. One of the men shielded her from the ship debris, ensuring she was unharmed.

As the jet boat sped away, Feng Zhexuan saw the red dot on his phone disappear suddenly.

BANG!

He jumped up due to shock and his knee bumped into the table, causing the water bottle to fall. At this moment, he couldn’t even feel the pain in his knees and stared at the phone in disbelief.

Startled by the noise, Wei Zheming rushed over from the deck and asked, "Zhexuan, what’s wrong?"

Looking at his phone, Feng Zhexuan muttered in disbelief, "No, it’s impossible."

Noticing his friend’s pale face, Wei Zheming held his shoulder and asked again, "Zhexuan, what happened?"

When he saw Feng Zhexuan staring at the phone, he took it from him and saw that the red dot had disappeared. Understanding the significance, Wei Zheming was shocked.

He hesitated before saying, "Zhexuan, this—"

Before he could finish, Feng Zhexuan grabbed his collar and shouted, "Shut up!"

"Yuling will be fine. Something must have happened to her tracker," he added, his voice trembling.

After a moment, he took a deep breath, looked at the captain, and said, "Follow the previous location."

The captain nodded and drove in silence. An hour later, they saw the bright glow of a fire in the distance. When Feng Zhexuan saw it, he rushed to the deck for a clearer view. Seeing the fishing boat engulfed in flames, his heart sank, and he staggered back.

"Zhexuan!"

Wei Zheming quickly supported his friend while saying, "Zhexuan, get a hold of yourself! Your wife will be fine. We will find her."

At that moment, a notification chimed on his phone, but Feng Zhexuan, too shocked to notice, ignored it.

Due to the fire, the marine and special forces couldn’t approach the ship. After a discussion, they agreed to control the fire first before assessing the situation.

Hearing their decision, Feng Zhexuan exploded, "Are you saying you will wait until the ship completely burns before you go looking for my wife?! Are you joking with me right now?!"

"President Feng, it’s impossible for us to go in right now. Besides the risk of another explosion, the chances of any survivors are very low given the extent of this fire," Han Li said calmly.

"Shut up! My wife is still alive! If you and your team didn’t plan on saving my wife, then just stay out of my way. I will save her myself!" Feng Zhexuan roared.

As soon as he finished his words, he tore off the earpiece and crushed it. Turning around, he marched to the lifeboat and put on his life jacket.

When Wei Zheming saw this, he grabbed Feng Zhexuan’s shoulder and asked, "Zhexuan, what are you doing?"

"I’m going to save my wife," Feng Zhexuan said.

"Are you crazy?! How do you plan to get into that ship with the fire raging?" Wei Zheming shouted.

Feng Zhexuan shoved his hand away, shouting back, "Even if I have to walk into that fire, I will go and find my wife!"

"Feng Zhexuan, have you forgotten your Grandpa? Do you want him to experience the pain of losing his descendant again?" Wei Zheming demanded angrily.

"Then what do you want me to do?!" Feng Zhexuan shouted angrily, glaring at his friend with pain and frustration.

Tears welled up in his eyes as he said, "Zheming, my wife is in there. How can I stand by and do nothing?"

Taking a deep breath, Wei Zheming said, "Zhexuan, calm down. Do you really think your wife is dead in that fire?"

Feng Zhexuan lowered his head in silence, clenching his fists to control his overwhelming emotions.

Patting his shoulder, Wei Zheming added, "Your wife is smart. I’m sure she escaped. We must use every second to find her. Calm down and think this through."

Feng Zhexuan closed his eyes and took several deep breaths. After a moment, he said hoarsely, "Contact Alex and have him send the Cyber Vision’s elite team over."

Wei Zheming sighed in relief, and said, "Okay. You should rest. Your wife is still waiting for you to save her."

Clenching his fists tightly, he said through gritted teeth, "I know."
