Little Wife's Diary: My Husband is My Boss!
Chapter 287: Wanted Criminals

Chapter 287: Wanted Criminals

"As long as you behave, I won’t make things difficult for you," the burly man said as he handed the water to her.

Yan Yuling gratefully took the water and, after drinking, she asked, "Brother, could you release the handcuff? I promise I won’t run. I just need to use the toilet."

The man hesitated before warning, "Don’t try anything foolish. Otherwise, I won’t guarantee your safety."

"I promise," she assured him quickly.

Perhaps feeling pity for her fragile body and pale face or her sincerity, the man unlocked the handcuff and led her out of the room. Yan Yuling kept her head low as she walked, but her peripheral vision absorbed everything around her.

She realized she was on a ship and silently counted seven other men onboard, excluding those she might not have seen. Judging by the gentle rocking of the vessel, they hadn’t yet left the country’s waters.

Her thoughts were interrupted when the man pushed her into a cramped, foul-smelling toilet. As soon as she smelled the disgusting smell, her stomach churn and she retches.

Fighting her nausea, she quickly relieved herself and used the opportunity to retrieve her necklace from under her clothes. Hidden within its red diamond pendant was a tracker her husband had given her, activated only when she pressed it. She quickly pressed the button to send her location, and tucked the necklace back into place.

When she emerged from the toilet, the man escorted her back to her room. This time, he cuffed only one of her hands, leaving her slightly more freedom. Surprised by the gesture, she murmured, "Thank you."

"You don’t need to thank me. If you try to escape, I will break your legs and arms," he said coldly.

After he finished those words, he left the room and locked the door again.

As soon as he finished locking the metal door, one of the men drinking beer outside commented, "J, why lock the door? She is cuffed—she can’t escape."

J shot him a cold look but remained silent. The lock wasn’t to guard against her. It was to protect her from the other men onboard. While he was a mercenary and needed money, he had his bottom line. He wouldn’t stand by and let this group of beasts humiliate a weak woman.

As the ship sailed further from Huaxia’s shores, leaving its territorial waters, chaos unfolded in the Feng family home.

Grandpa Feng sat grimly in the living room, his face etched with worry as he looked at his pale grandson making another phone call.

Seeing that his grandson was done with his phone call, he asked, "Zhexuan, how is it?"

Feng Zhexuan let out a tired sigh, shook his head, and said hoarsely, "There is no news yet."

Pinching the bridge of his nose, he added, "Grandpa, if there is still no news about my wife by morning, I—"

Before he could finish, Grandpa Feng interrupted him, "You can’t do anything dangerous. You must remember that you still have your responsibility toward the Feng Group and tens of thousands of our employees. Nothing will happen to Yuling. You must believe in your uncle."

Hearing his grandpa’s words, Feng Zhexuan said nothing, but he had already made up his mind. If there was still no news about his wife by morning, he would go see that person personally.

While he was lost in thought, he suddenly recalled the necklace he had given his wife. Thinking about the tracker, his eyes lit up, and he quickly opened the app on his phone.

The moment he opened the app, he saw the red dot blinking on the map. Seeing the red dot moving quickly, he stood up and left without a word.

Grandpa Feng was taken aback by his sudden behavior. Standing up from his seat, he shouted, "Zhexuan, where are you going?!"

Feng Zhexuan was anxious when he saw the red dot moving away from the country’s territorial waters. As he drove to the Feng Group’s building, he called the pilot to prepare the helicopter.

Then, he dialed his uncle’s number. The moment the call was picked up, he said, "Uncle, I found my wife’s location. I will share it with you. Please send backup as soon as possible."

When he finished speaking, he hung up without giving He Yan a chance to respond. He parked his car on the roadside and shared the location with his uncle before continuing to the company.

Due to a traffic jam, it took him more than an hour to reach the company. As soon as he parked his car, he took the elevator directly to the rooftop. When he walked out of the elevator, he saw Wei Zheming and Xiao Wu waiting for him.

"Zheming, what are you doing here?" he asked in surprise.

"Did you forget that I’m your bodyguard?" Wei Zheming replied.

Glancing at Xiao Wu, Feng Zhexuan asked again, "What is she doing here, then?"

"Boss, I’m Madam’s bodyguard," Xiao Wu said.

Hearing her words, Feng Zhexuan nodded and said, "This time, the situation will be dangerous. Make sure to protect yourselves first."

"Understood," both Wei Zheming and Xiao Wu replied in unison.

As for whether they would follow his order or not, that would depend on the situation. As bodyguards, their responsibility was to protect their client.

Twenty minutes later, the helicopter finally took off and flew toward the wharf.

At the same time, He Yan had informed the military about the matter, as the kidnappers were wanted criminals. The mercenary team was on the wanted list of several countries. If they managed to catch them, it would solve a huge case.

Four hours later, the helicopter landed on an open field near the wharf. Feng Zhexuan climbed out as soon as the engine was turned off, followed by Wei Zheming and Xiao Wu.

When they walked to the dock, they noticed that the area had been cleared by special forces. Feng Zhexuan strode forward with a deep frown.
