After being stunned for a moment, they all congratulated him, and Chen Yuhan smiled happier than usual.

While he was bragging about his girlfriend and announcing his relationship status to everyone, Yan Yunci was enjoying the exquisite cakes at a table near the buffet area.

While she was enjoying the food, the chair next to her was pulled over and someone sat on it. Turning her head, she saw Su Aihan looking at her with disdain.

She raised her chin and said, "I heard that you and Chen Yuhan are in a relationship. Is that true?"

Yan Yunci swallowed the food in her mouth and asked her back, "Where did you hear that?"

When Su Aihan heard her words, her eyes lit up and she said, "Chen Yuhan has been showing off his relationship with you."

"So, you like Chen Yuhan, not brother Lin Xiao?" she asked again.

After hearing her words, Yan Yunci rolled her eyes and said, "I have only met President Lin a few times. Although I admire him very much, I don’t have any intention of becoming his girlfriend. I just think he is pleasing to the eye and an interesting person. The person I like is Yuhan."

Su Aihan felt unhappy when she saw Yan Yunci happy. Although she was relieved because Yan Yunci didn’t like Lin Xiao, she was still unhappy since she was able to get a man as outstanding as Chen Yuhan.

Why is it that the man she likes is lying in the hospital with an uncertain future, but Yan Yunci has a healthy and talented boyfriend?

She is obviously better than this fat woman, but she always loses to her. Not to mention the huge difference in their family backgrounds, even she lost to her when she participated in the painting competition that she worked hard for.

She worked hard for several months to create her best painting but still lost to Yan Yunci’s casual painting she created on the spot. Why is life so unfair? Why isn’t she the one with that talent?

Yan Yunci noticed her gloomy gaze and asked, "Su Aihan, what’s wrong with you? Are you feeling unwell?"

When Su Aihan heard her concern, she felt more hatred and jealousy towards Yan Yunci. People always thought that Yan Yunci was innocent and kind, but only she knew how cold-hearted she was.

"Yan Yunci, don’t pretend to be concerned about me. Why do you always go against me in everything? Do you only feel happy after you snatch everything away from me?" she said suddenly.

Yan Yunci was stunned and asked, "Su Aihan, what do you mean? When did I snatch your things? If you are sick, you should go to the hospital. Don’t come out and talk nonsense."

Seeing her confusion, Su Aihan stood up from her seat and said, "This is why I hate you. You can easily get what I work hard for. You don’t take me seriously at all, do you?"

Hearing her words, Yan Yunci put down her fork and said, "Su Aihan, I don’t know why you hate me so much, but I can tell you that I work harder than you. It’s just that I work hard silently and never tell anyone. Because what I do is for me and I don’t think I need to talk about it every day, every time, like what you did."

"You only see my relaxed and happy times, but do you know that I also have times when I am sad, insecure, scared, and even want to give up on life?"

"You know nothing about me. So, on what basis do you say these things to me? Do you think you are the only one in the world who works hard and feels those negative emotions? Do you think you are the only one losing something?"

Su Aihan was stunned by her words and opened her mouth to retort, "Yan Yunci, you–"

Before she could finish her words, Yan Yunci stood up and interrupted her, "You have your parents, your sister, and your brother with you. Compared to me, you are actually much luckier. So, what else are you dissatisfied with? Why do you always give me trouble?"

"Su Aihan, I know you like Lin Xiao. When he rejected your approach, you blamed me instead of thinking about why he didn’t like you. If you really like him, you shouldn’t spend your time here finding fault and venting your jealousy.

"You know he is in the hospital, but have you ever visited him? All your so-called love toward him is just your conceit and your greed for his wealth, talent, appearance, fame, and status. Without these, would you still like him?" she asked coldly.

Su Aihan opened and closed her mouth, but couldn’t find any words to refute her words.

Yan Yunci saw this and sneered, "Look, we all know that you don’t really like him. So, put away your hypocrisy and stay away from me. If you come to disturb me next time because of your stupid jealousy again, I will definitely make you regret provoking me."

After saying that, she took her bag and left the table without even looking at Su Aihan.

Su Aihan stood motionless, shocked by Yan Yunci’s sharp words. She always thought that she was a soft persimmon who could be bullied by everyone.

No matter how others insulted or humiliated her, she would never fight back. Unexpectedly, she could see through her thoughts.

When she came to her senses, Su Aihan found that many people were looking in her direction and whispering. When Yan Yunci said those words, her voice was not low at all, so everyone could hear it clearly.

Su Aihan was embarrassed and angry. She glared at them, and shouted, "What are you looking at?!"

She grabbed her bag and quickly left the banquet hall with a dark face.

Chen Yuhan saw that his girlfriend stopped eating after chatting with Su Aihan, so he excused himself from the conversation and walked to her side.
