When Feng Zhexuan heard this, he was stunned for a moment, then remembered how he bullied his wife this morning and made her scream for several hours.

After a moment of silence, Yan Yuling said again, "Husband, how about we go back to your apartment? This house is too big for the two of us, and it is far away from your office and my university. I need to go back to class and fill in my credits. It’s so tiring to go back and forth."

Feng Zhexuan frowned when he heard this and said, "But I don’t feel at ease if I leave you alone at home."

"How about I live in the dormitory then?" she asked.

After hearing his wife’s suggestion, Feng Zhexuan immediately rejected it, "Impossible!"

Yan Yuling was startled by his stern tone and asked, "Husband, why are you angry with me?"

After taking a deep breath to calm down, Feng Zhexuan softened his tone and said, "Wife, we are newlyweds. It is unreasonable to live separately."

"Besides, I can’t sleep without holding you now. Can you bear to see me get sick because I miss you?" he asked aggrievedly.

After listening to her husband’s words, Yan Yuling felt that it made sense.

However, she didn’t want to stay in this huge house every day waiting for her husband to come back. It was too far from the city and she couldn’t go anywhere when she was bored.

"Husband, this house is too far from the city. It would be too much trouble for me to go out. You didn’t expect me to stay at home every day, right?" she asked.

Feng Zhexuan knew that his wife also needed time of her own, so it was unreasonable for him to force her to stay away from her friends.

Although he hated his wife getting too close to other people, he knew it was his problem. After thinking for a long time, he still chose to respect his wife’s freedom and decision.

After a long silence, he finally said, "Okay. I will listen to you."

Yan Yuling was extremely happy when she heard that her husband had agreed to her request. But before she could say thank you, she heard him say, "However, I will hire two bodyguards for you."

Knowing that his wife would refuse, Feng Zhexuan quickly added, "Wife, these bodyguards will not affect your daily life. They will protect you in the dark and will only appear when you are in danger."

Yan Yuling wanted to say that he thought too much. But when she remembered that her husband had been kidnapped and almost died, she swallowed her words back.

Considering her own safety and her husband’s worries, she compromised and said, "Okay."

Feng Zhexuan breathed a sigh of relief when his wife agreed and said, "Then you take a rest at home and wait for me. We will go back to the apartment together tonight."

"Mn, Husband, you should take a rest once in a while. Don’t read for too long or you will hurt your eyesight."

He chuckled and put his phone in his pocket. Today, he didn’t put it on silent mode because he didn’t want to miss his wife’s calls or messages.

When he returned to the conference room, although his expression had returned to his usual indifference, there was still a smile in his eyes. After taking his seat, he waved his hand and said, "Continue the meeting."
