Feng Zhexuan stood aside, not knowing what the nurses were thinking, and looked at his wife without blinking. He was afraid that as soon as he closed his eyes, his wife would fall asleep again when he reopened his eyes.

After the doctor checked his wife’s condition, he asked, "Doctor, how is my wife?"

The doctor wrote some words on the patient’s bed board and said, "Mr. Feng, your wife’s condition is stable. But we need to do more tests to determine her condition. At present, she can drink some water and eat some liquid food first. I will arrange a check-up and the nurse will let you know later."

Hearing the doctor’s words, Feng Zhexuan nodded and asked, "Doctor, will my wife fall asleep again?"

The doctor chuckled lightly and said, "Mr. Feng, although your wife had just woken up from a long sleep, her body was very weak and she needed more rest. So, of course, she will fall asleep again."

"But don’t worry, this is normal. If nothing happens, she won’t fall into deep sleep again," the doctor reassured him.

Hearing the doctor’s words, Feng Zhexuan breathed a sigh of relief. He nodded to the doctor and said, "Thank you, doctor."

"This is what I should do." The doctor nodded and left the ward with the nurses.

After the two were alone, Feng Zhexuan moved the chair over and sat beside the bed. He looked at his wife for a long time without speaking.

Yan Yuling was a little embarrassed under her husband’s fiery gaze and asked, "Why are you looking at me like this?"

Hearing his wife’s hoarse voice, Feng Zhexuan stood up and went to get a glass of water. He placed a straw into the glass and brought it over.

He put the glass next to his wife’s chapped lips and said, "Wife, drink some water first."

Yan Yuling felt her throat was burning, so she took a few sips without refusing. Because she had just woken up, she couldn’t drink too much yet.

After taking two or three sips, Feng Zhexuan put the glass on the bedside table and asked, "Wife, how do you feel?"

If Yan Yuling hadn’t seen her husband crying so hard when she just woke up, with her husband’s calmness at the moment, she might have thought that her husband didn’t care about her at all.

She sighed tiredly and said in a hoarse voice, "Zhexuan, I feel very terrible."

When Feng Zhexuan heard this, he immediately panicked and asked, "What’s wrong with you? I will call the doctor."

Before he could press the red button again, Yan Yuling stopped him and said, "It’s not that I feel uncomfortable."

Feng Zhexuan stiffened when he heard his wife’s words. He sat down, looked at his wife, and asked, "Wife, what’s wrong?"

Yan Yuling felt a lot of emotions rolling around in her heart at this moment which overwhelmed her. When she looked at her husband, all the emotions she had never experienced in her memory came to her heart at this moment.

She clasped their fingers together and said, "Zhexuan, I’m sorry, you were hurt because of me."

Hearing her words, Feng Zhexuan was stunned for a moment. He didn’t understand his wife’s topic and asked, "Wife, what are you talking about? I have never been hurt because of you."

She stretched out her hand, pointed to the scar on her husband’s forehead and said, "I caused this scar. Your arm is also injured."

When she finished saying this, tears flowed from the corners of her eyes.

When Feng Zhexuan saw her tears, his eyes widened in surprise, "Wife, you... do you remember everything?"

Yan Yuling nodded and sobbed, "Yes, I remember everything."
