Yan Yunci was startled by Li Fei’s stern tone and loud voice. She patted her chest and said, "I’m going to eat the cake. Since everyone is eating, I think I will eat some cakes too."

Looking at her innocent eyes, Li Fei was speechless.

She pointed at the cake and asked, "Did you know that cakes are prepared for senior executives above the director level? How dare you, a trainee, eat these cakes?"

Yan Yunci was stunned and asked, "Aren’t these pastries for employees?"

"Of course not! Do you know how expensive these cakes are? This cake costs half your monthly salary!" she exclaimed.

Seeing how excited Li Fei was, Yan Yunci was afraid that her saliva would stain the cake and coffee. So, she quickly moved them away and said, "Senior, don’t get too excited. Your saliva almost flowed into my cake and coffee."

As soon as she finished speaking, everyone burst into laughter. Some people who had a good relationship with Li Fei tried hard to hold back their laughter and almost choked on their saliva. And those who didn’t like her boot-licking attitude laughed blatantly.

Li Fei was very angry when she saw that she had become a joke because of the newcomer. She reached out to snatch away the cake and said, "Yan Yunci, you are not allowed to eat these cakes!"

"Although I took these cakes by mistake, I can just pay for it if I eat it. Does Team Leader Pei need to throw them to the ground and waste food? As they say, a cake costs half of my monthly salary. Now that the cake is wasted, who will pay for it?" she asked, pointing to the cake.

After hearing this, everyone nodded and agreed with her words. If she eats these cakes, she will at most pay for them. Now that the barely-eaten cake has been thrown to the ground by Pei Wanwan, who will pay for the cake?

"Of course you have to pay," Pei Wanwan said with a frown.

"Why should I pay for the cake you threw? On what basis?" Yan Yunci asked with raised eyebrows.

"Just because you ate the cake," Pei Wanwan insisted.

"I only took a small bite, but you threw the whole cake on the ground. So, you should be the one to pay the price. After all, throwing it on the ground is equivalent to eating it," Yan Yunci retorted.

When the supervisor heard this, she felt a little headache and said, "Okay, it’s a trivial matter. What are you two arguing about?"

"Since Team Leader Pei threw the cake on the ground, you should pay for that cake. As for the other two, Yan Yunci should pay the price. From now on, whoever wants to eat the cake can pay for it," she added.

As soon as she finished speaking, Pei Wanwan protested, "Supervisor, why should I pay? I didn’t eat the cake at all!"
