Yan Yuling finally smiled after hearing his words. She thought he must be thanking her for standing up for him. So, she hugged him back and said, "You are welcome, Husband. As your wife, I will definitely protect you."

Hearing this, Feng Zhexuan chuckled and said, "Okay, then my wife must protect me for the rest of her life."

"Okay," Yan Yuling agreed without hesitation.

As soon as she finished speaking, Feng Zhexuan raised his head and sealed her mouth. They shared a long, deep kiss, before he let her go.

He continued the business meeting in a happy mood, while Yan Yuling returned to the master bedroom in a daze.

As soon as he opened the laptop, Feng Zhexuan saw his subordinates whispering to each other with gossipy eyes. Since he was in a good mood, he just coughed and said, "Continued the meeting."

When her husband was working hard to earn more money to raise her, Yan Yuling was lying on the big bed in the master bedroom. Her thoughts returned to their kiss just now.

She covered her eyes with her palms and muttered, "Why did I suddenly go to him? Why do I suddenly hate others saying bad things about him?"

A week after Yan Lingling’s wedding banquet, Lin Xiao received the paternity test report of Lin Hao’s ex-girlfriend unborn child.

Since the woman disappeared without a trace, he was convinced that the child was not his brother’s. But when he opened the envelope and saw the result, his eyes widened in surprise.

Although he was usually calm, at this moment, he couldn’t be calm at all. He threw the report on the table and dialed the assistant’s intercom, "Go find that woman quickly!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the assistant asked, "President Lin, which woman..."

Before he finished speaking, Lin Xiao said, "That pregnant woman! I want you to find her as soon as possible. Remember not to hurt her or the unborn child."

After he finished with his words, he quickly took his suit jacket and paternity test report and strode out of the office.

As soon as he opened the door, the secretaries stood up and bowed to him. Before they could ask anything, he had already walked to the elevator and pressed the button.

After he left, the secretaries looked at each other, but no one dared to gossip. After all, when he walked past them, Lin Xiao’s face was gloomy and his eyes were cold. He was angry and everyone knew they needed to avoid the angry boss.

In the parking lot, Lin Xiao took out the car keys from his pocket and walked towards his car. But before he could reach his car, a woman stepped out from behind a pillar and blocked his path.

He was anxious and in a bad mood. So, when he saw the woman, he narrowed his eyes and said coldly, "Miss Su, get out of my way."

Su Aihan’s eyes met Lin Xiao’s gloomy eyes, and her heart trembled. She took a step back, but when she thought that she had been waiting here for a long time, she clenched her fists and refused to move.

She took a deep breath and said, "Brother Lin Xiao, I have something to tell you."

Seeing that she didn’t want to go away, Lin Xiao pushed her away and walked quickly towards his car. After opening the car door, he got into the driver’s seat and drove the car back to his parents’ house, leaving the exhaust gas to Su Aihan.

Su Aihan looked at the back of the car angrily and in disbelief. She stamped her feet in anger and shouted, "Lin Xiao, one day you will beg me to be your girlfriend!"

Since it was not off-duty time, Lin Xiao arrived at her parents’ house in less than forty minutes. He didn’t bother to go to the garage and parked the car at the front entrance.

When he walked into the living room, he saw Yan Lingling chatting happily with her mother.

After saying this, Lin Xiao walked towards his father’s study on the second floor. He knocked on the door and opened it.

Chairman Lin saw his son and asked, "Ah Xiao, has something happened? It’s rare for you to come see me during this time."

Lin Xiao walked toward his father’s desk after closing the door. He put the envelope on the table, sat down opposite his father, and said, "Dad, the paternity test results are out."

Looking at his eldest son’s gloomy face, Chairman Lin felt that this result was not what they had hoped for. He took the report out of the envelope, read the results, and smiled.

"Fortunately, the child in her belly is Lin Hao’s son. As long as that woman gives birth to a child, we will bring the child back to raise him," Chairman Lin said while nodding.

"Dad, the day we did the paternity test, the woman ran away. We are still looking for her," Lin Xiao said with a frown.

When Chairman Lin heard this, he patted the table and asked, "How did she escape? Why didn’t you send someone to monitor her?!"
