Chapter 115: The Lost Emotions ( 1 )

After a long time, Yan Yuling finally slowly opened her eyes. She felt her head hurt, as if she had been hit hard by something.

She felt a headache and reached out to touch her head. But the moment she moved her hand, she felt a warm palm covering her hand with a heavy thing pressing on it.

She looked down and saw that her husband was sleeping holding her hand. Seeing him frowning in his sleep, she felt pain in her heart.

The moment this emotion appeared in her heart, Yan Yuling was stunned. How long had it been since she’d felt an emotion other than fear?

Just as she was deep in thought, Feng Zhexuan woke up from his nap.

When he saw his wife waking up, he stood up, leaned closer and asked, "Wife, how are you feeling? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?"

Yan Yuling came back to her senses when she heard her husband’s voice. When she looked back, she saw the worry, joy and uneasiness in his eyes.

She stretched out her hands, stroked her husband’s frown, and said, "Husband, I’m sorry for making you worry. I’m fine now."

Feng Zhexuan was stunned when he felt his wife’s soft hand touching his eyebrows. When he looked into her eyes, he saw her emotions!

’Did she feel guilty and upset because of me?’ he thought.

He refused to let go of the emotions in his wife’s eyes, held his soft hand, kissed her palm while saying, "Wife, you almost scared me to death. When I found you fainted and unconscious on the ground, I thought I would lose you forever."

"Promise me you will take care of yourself, okay?" he added, a hint of pleading in his voice.

When Yan Yuling felt her husband’s soft lips kiss her palm, her heart trembled, and a soft, warm, yet numb feeling surged in her heart. She loved his touch and longed for it.

"Okay," she nodded.

Feng Zhexuan breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Wife, I think it’s better for us to stay in our family’s villa."

Thinking of her deal with Grandpa Feng, Yan Yuling has no intention to stay under the same roof with him. So she shook her head and said, "There is no need to move there. It’s nice to live in the house we have."

Just thinking about how long it would take the elevator to reach the parking lot made Feng Zhexuan a little uneasy. He thought it would be better for his wife to stay with his grandfather because there were more people there who could take care of her.

So when his wife refused to move, he could only guess that she felt uncomfortable living with the elderly. In this case, they can choose another house.

"If you don’t want to live there, then let’s choose a house for us. I think living in a house is better than living in an apartment. We can hire a nanny to take care of the house and help you cook," he tried to persuade his wife.

Yan Yuling was surprised when she saw her husband’s worry. Because at this moment, when she saw him so worried, a feeling of guilt suddenly rose in her heart, and she could feel the squeezing pain in her heart.

Although this was the first time she felt like this, she knew from the books she had read before that she was slowly regaining her ability to feel her emotions. This was a good sign for her, but deep down, she felt afraid to move on.

What if she couldn’t control her emotions and hurt him?

He was so kind to her, and although she couldn’t reciprocate his feelings, she didn’t want to see him hurt.

Her eyes widened in surprise when the thought came to her mind.

’Am I worried about Feng Zhexuan? Do I care about him?’ she thought.

When Feng Zhexuan saw his wife just staring at him without speaking, he thought she was feeling uncomfortable again, so he quickly shouted, "Doctor!"

Hearing his loud voice, Yan Yuling came back to her senses. She quickly held her husband’s hand and said, "Husband, I’m fine. There was no need to call a doctor."

Feng Zhexuan leaned down, looked at his wife and said, "Wife, if you feel uncomfortable, you must tell me. Don’t keep it to yourself."

As soon as he finished speaking, a young doctor came over and asked, "What’s wrong?"

Seeing the young doctor frowning and asking, Yan Yuling said, "I’m sorry, doctor. This is a misunderstanding. I’m fine."

The young doctor glanced at the two of them and said with impatience, "Now that you’re awake, you can go home."

Feng Zhexuan was a little unhappy with the doctor’s tone, but because his wife was around, he still held back his temper.

"Thank you, doctor," Yan Yuling said.

After the doctor left, she said, "Husband, let’s go back."

Feng Zhexuan nodded and helped her put on her shoes. Then, he squatted down in front of her and said, "Come up. I will take you to the car."

Looking at his back, Yan Yuling hesitated. Her husband’s body looks so thin. Will she fall when she goes up on his back?

Feng Zhexuan didn’t know that his wife looked down upon his strength, so he just glanced at her and asked with doubts, "Wife, what’s wrong?"

After thinking for a while, Yan Yuling finally let out a long sigh and climbed onto her husband’s back. Even if she fell down later, she should accept her fate. Who told her to marry a weakling?

Unexpectedly, the moment her hands covered her husband’s neck, he stood up easily.

Feng Zhexuan used his palms to support his wife’s soft buttocks and said with a hint of worry, "Wife, please eat more. You are too light, I can hardly feel your weight."

As they walked past the nurse’s station, he sighed and added with distress, "You are truly too thin. The wind is very strong now, what if you get blown away? Then where will I find my wife?"
