Chapter 1580: Chapter 1580: Stop at the mall, there’s something to buy
Baron Lawrence left on the spur of the moment, not even bothering to inform the secretary office before taking her with him.
The car smoothly made its way to the luxury residence situated on the southern side of the city.
When they passed the City Center, he suddenly said, "Find a shopping mall and park. I need to buy something."
"Yes, Lord."
Scott Harris drove to the nearest mall, stopped the car, and graciously opened the door, saying, "Lord, Ms. Clark, I will wait here for you."
"Okay." Baron Lawrence took Enna Clark’s hand and headed towards the mall, "Let’s go."
The mall was filled with an array of items and, as it was quite late, there weren’t many people shopping. Baron Lawrence seemed to know exactly where he was going, heading straight toward the checkout counter.
Enna, puzzled, said, "Aren’t you going to buy something?" Why not pick it out now?
"I am going to buy something."
In a blink of an eye, she was pulled to the front of the checkout counter.
Typically, the checkout counters at malls have a special shelf stocked with items like gum, chocolates, and other small things for people to grab conveniently as they check out.
Of course, there was also another item placed there.
"Enna Clark, which flavor do you like? Strawberry, vanilla, or chocolate?" he asked earnestly, holding a box from the shelf with an air of arrogant grace.
When Enna saw what he was holding in his hand, her face turned beet red.
What he was holding was— that!
"As for the type, ultra-thin ones will do." He was confident enough, not needing to buy the ones with spiral textures.
He stood tall and was handsome, his aura exuding elitism.
The female cashier had already been sneaking glances in their direction.
Enna became even more embarrassed.
Baron Lawrence, on the other hand, was perfectly calm. To him, this was nothing more than a normal part of a relationship between a man and a woman, especially with Enna Clark— it was completely justified.
So, there was nothing to hide.
He wasn’t a thief, after all!
He had waited half a day for Enna’s reply, but when she didn’t answer, he frowned impatiently and asked again, "What flavor do you really like? If you don’t say something, I’ll just buy them all!"
Without waiting for Enna to answer, he seemed to become impatient, picked up one of each kind, and tossed them onto the checkout counter, "Forget it, I’ll buy one of each kind. We’ll try them one by one!"
Enna, "..."
Purchasing one of each kind, adding up to more than a dozen varieties, the cashier, who had never seen someone so composed buying so many... T’s before, was initially startled. After recovering, she rang them up, bagged them, and handed them over.
Baron Lawrence paid for the purchase, grabbed the bag with one hand, and took Enna’s hand with the other as they walked out.
"Thank you for shopping, and welcome to come again," the cashier’s voice followed from behind.
Enna felt so mortified that she wished she could burrow into a hole in the ground.
Hand in hand, Baron Lawrence led her out of the mall and back to the car.
Scott, surprised, asked, "Lord, Ms. Clark, have you finished shopping already?"
"Yeah, we found what we needed," Baron Lawrence replied, seemingly in good spirits.
What they needed!
Enna knew what he had bought, and she found herself at a loss for words due to his self-evident reply.
Scott, unaware of what they had purchased, was certainly surprised but nevertheless opened the car door and said, "Lord, Ms. Clark, please get in the car."
"Enna Clark, get in the car."
Enna took a deep breath and got into the car first.
Soon after, the arrogant man also got in the car.
Scott closed the car door, walked around to the front, and restarted the car...
