Chapter 1536: Chapter 1536: Olivia Looks Like She’s Got Nothing to Worry About
"Where are you?" Enna Clark couldn’t help but worry about her.
Olivia Lewis chuckled, her voice through the phone betraying no hint of a bad mood, "Where else could I be right now? If I stepped out of the resort, I’d be swarmed by paparazzi at the gate within minutes. I’m in my room, come find me."
"I’ll be there in a flash, wait for me two minutes," she said, picking up the phone from the table and hurrying to Olivia Lewis’s villa.
Olivia Lewis lived in the vacation villa not far from them.
She had just reached the Entrance Hall when she heard Olivia’s cheerful greeting, "Enna, hurry up, the food’s just ready. If you come any later, everything will be cold."
After Enna Clark entered, she found the living room neatly tidied up, showing no sign of someone who had just gone through a breakup.
However, the very fact that the living room was so neatly arranged was ’abnormally normal.’
Because Olivia Lewis was never the type to enjoy tidying up her room!
The living room had obviously been carefully cleaned, even the cushions on the sofa were placed meticulously, all the corners perfectly aligned!
Olivia Lewis seemed busy, flitting between the kitchen and living room, holding a plate in her hand, "Hurry up, I set up a table on the balcony. I’ve got the chopsticks and bowls ready; we’re just missing you."
She didn’t seem at all disheartened, as cheery and affable as ever. Enna Clark felt an inexplicable twinge in her heart but didn’t call her out on it, asking instead, "Need any help?"
"Hmm..." Olivia thought for a moment as if she had just remembered something, "Right, Enna, can you grab two wine glasses for me?"
"The goblets are in the fridge. I just bought them. Rinse them with boiling water."
Had she just been out?
"Sure," Enna Clark didn’t say much, took the red wine glasses from the fridge as instructed, scalded them with boiling water in the kitchen, dried them, and took them out to the balcony.
The balcony of Olivia Lewis’s villa also had a view of the sea.
At that moment, the soothing sounds of the waves crashing rhythmically, the breeze carrying the scent of the ocean mixed with the fragrance of flowers from the resort, was indescribably comfortable and pleasant.
Olivia Lewis knew how to enjoy life; she had arranged everything on a small Japanese-style table, next to which were two of the currently popular oversized cushioned sofas, the light purple oversized pillows contrasting quaintly with the wooden flooring, looking incredibly cozy.
Enna Clark noticed the red wine, fish fillet, and what seemed like newly made Mapo Tofu on her table, which made the corner of her mouth twitch.
Red wine, fish fillet paired with Mapo Tofu—the combination was indeed... whimsical.
Olivia Lewis uncorked the red wine, taking a seat, and beckoned to her, "Enna, come sit down and try my cooking."
She eagerly handed over a pair of chopsticks, "Here."
Enna Clark followed suit and sat cross-legged on the cushion, which was as soft and comfortable as she expected. She took the chopsticks Olivia handed her, picked up some Mapo Tofu, gave it a taste, and found the tofu melted in her mouth, the sensation spicy and numbing, distinctly impactful.
From the moment Enna took the chopsticks, Olivia watched her with expectant eyes. As soon as Enna took a bite, Olivia couldn’t wait to ask, "How’s the taste?"
Enna Clark gave a thumbs-up, providing a positive verdict, "Delicious. It tastes the same as before."
"You’re not lying to me, are you? I’ll try it myself." Olivia immediately laughed so hard her eyes nearly disappeared, gave Enna a playful glare, and also grabbed a chopstick to try it out. The taste was decent, just as she had expected. She complained in dismay, "It’s passable, I guess."
