Chapter 563: Chapter 134: God’s Domain (Requesting Monthly Tickets!)_3

And the greatest force that spurs a person into action, to fight desperately, is also "fear."

Apart from the Sky Divine Throne, no one would know... why the God of Wine had personally come to Snow Forbidden City half a year ago.

One of the most fundamental driving forces is "fear."

He feared Gu Changzhi too much.

If he weren’t bound by the oath "not to open his eyes," perhaps he could be like those Divine Thrones from the Outer Continent, remaining indifferent and waiting silently for the final outcome.

But now, he had come to East Continent, to Snow Forbidden City.

It was the trigger of a certain opportunity that made him want to confront the "fear" deep within his heart.

"Qingzhong... Of course, I’ll go."

The God of Wine spoke coldly, "But not now."

...

...

After completing the Spiritual Link with Chu Ling and Divine Temple Mountain, Gu Shen did not feel truly relieved.

This should have been a celebratory occasion.

But on the contrary,

a heavy stone seemed to have settled in his heart, and he did not truly feel the taste of "a burden lifted."

This feeling was like... one wave had just subsided, and yet another was rising.

Gu Shen trusted his intuition.

If his intuition told him something bad was going to happen, then it would only be worse than he imagined.

He stayed awake all night at the Spring Rain Temple, always feeling that something bad was about to happen.

The mindset of being an "onlooker," maintained for a year, seemed to have been completely shattered by the death of the Li Family Master, and despite all his cultivation, he could not find it again.

Gu Shen knew that such a state of mind could be encountered but not sought, like a mirror that once shattered, was hard to piece back together.

So, what was about to happen?

He made another trip to Qingzhong.

It was Gu Shen’s first time seeing that Master Qianye wasn’t staying inside the Changye wilderness but had left it, coming to the cemetery.

The moment he stepped into the inner mausoleum,

Gu Shen saw a figure in a fluttering great robe on top of a small hill.

The Tomb Guardian stood atop a small hill within the Qing Tomb Inner Mausoleum, her robe billowing in the great wind. That expressionless flower cat mask looked down from a high vantage, gazing toward the south.

Within her sleeves, a pair of dry, skeletal hands wrapped in fine strands of gold thread seemed to be divining something.

"Master?"

Gu Shen was somewhat surprised.

He knew that the Tomb Guardian sitting reversely at the Tomb Array Core was because the upside-down Array Patterns needed someone to control them.

And once she left... the great array of Qingzhong would be thrown into disorder.

Looking up,

the drifting clouds indeed showed signs of "disorder," and the heavy rain clouds hung oppressively, dense and stifling, the Extraordinary Essence flowing slowly through the Qingzhong Cemetery. Here, whispers of a million lost souls murmured silently. If order was disrupted, then no one knew what this "place of miracles" would turn into.

Setting aside the special existence of Divine Temple Mountain,

Changye had not seen a new dark spot appear for twenty years.

The Tomb Guardian of course saw Gu Shen.

She pointed first toward the center of the distant tombs and then at Gu Shen.

He did not utter a single word.

But his intent was already abundantly clear.

"You... go sit over there."

After a year of cultivating Array Patterns, Gu Shen had mastered the operation rules for most of the patterns in Qingzhong, and in his eyes, the world inside the Inner Mausoleum had only a faint mist remaining... Outsiders stepping into the Inner Mausoleum could only see vast fog, but he could see a stretch of brightness.

In other words, without realizing it, Gu Shen had also acquired the traits of a "Tomb Guardian."

Gu Shen arrived in the midst of the Four Seasons Wilderness.

When he reached out his hand to touch the ancient tree, it seemed as if countless Array Patterns emerged before his eyes, most of which... he recognized, though there were still some he had not yet mastered.

In an instant.

The whole world seemed to turn upside down.

Gu Shen became a "Tomb Guardian," and it was as if he had grown thousands of eyes, allowing him to see every corner of the vast cemetery. The Array Patterns that he had contemplated began to rotate slowly, the oppressive lead clouds in the sky scattered bit by bit, and the clustering Extraordinary Essence restored "order" to their flow. The chaotic scene didn’t last long, it was brief.

The reason was simple.

His arrival had been anticipated by the Tomb Guardian.

The entire array losing control should have only lasted a mere fifteen minutes or so.

This was Gu Shen’s first attempt at "controlling" Qingzhong. He could distinctly feel that... his year of Array Pattern cultivation had been effective; the patterns he had overhauled were clearly more efficient.

Those patterns he had not mastered seemed to be losing control over the flow of "Extraordinary Essence."

Soon afterward.

Master Qianye returned from outside.

She stood in front of Gu Shen, and the two of them still looked at each other upside down... except this time, Gu Shen was in the tree, and she was below it.

"How does it feel?" Master Qianye asked calmly.

Gu Shen slowly said, "It feels... like I’ve become the sky, and with just a glance downwards, I can see a vast world."

"Is that so? You saw a vast world..." The Tomb Guardian asked, "How vast?"

Gu Shen was slightly taken aback.

The Array Patterns he had mastered had already encompassed the outline of Qingzhong’s edges...

So he answered, "The whole of Qingzhong lies within view."

The Tomb Guardian continued, "Look again... beyond what you can see, there’s an even bigger world."

Gu Shen immersed himself further.

His spiritual power swept over every corner of Qingzhong.

Everywhere the Array Patterns spread... nearly every spot was within his sight...

A bigger world?

Gu Shen suddenly noticed... in the Four Seasons Wilderness of the Inner Mausoleum, there seemed to be a small sphere of light, which was extremely minuscule compared to the entire vast Qingzhong, about the size of a palm.

However, that small sphere of light was slowly expanding, ignoring his Array Patterns and drawing the Extraordinary Essence from within Qingzhong.

He released a strand of spiritual power, wishing to peer into the world within that small sphere of light.

But the moment it swept out, it was instantly engulfed.

"What is this?" Gu Shen vaguely felt something was amiss.

"You saw it, then."

The Tomb Guardian smiled, "For these many years... I’ve been waiting for ’its’ emergence."

She softly said, "This is Gu Changzhi’s God’s Domain, if I’m not mistaken, inside is the ’fire seed.’ For many years, the ’fire seed’ has existed on the unreachable other shore of the wilderness, I don’t know when it appeared here, but now it’s drawing the Extraordinary Essence from Qingzhong, which indicates..."

"It’s growing."
