Chapter 245: Chapter 221: Breaking Through the Throne!
Above the iron dome, the Blazing Light burned long.
One after another, cold swords were suspended in formation, these ancient iron artifacts vibrating at this moment, bursting out with low moans like those of Ancient Gods... Humanity once thought that guns and cannons changed the era, until the awakening of Extraordinary Abilities proved that cold weapons were indeed the Divinely Favored artefacts.
Above Tie Wu’s head, the condensed and massive Black Hole signified one of the most fundamental elements of the world.
Iron.
Without complex constructs or obscure blueprints.
One simply needed to lift a finger, and these elements would comply completely. One second they would solidify into iron blocks, the next they would melt into pliable iron water circling around oneself.
There was nothing more straightforward than this power... Tie Wu had not even used his talisman, only borrowing a trace of Divine Gifted Power, and he felt the surging sensation of conquest overflowing from his heart.
"Stop playing around,"
a soft voice echoed in his mind.
That was Old Qin’s voice. After the expansion of his domain, his spiritual power spread across a vast range, as if he replaced the moon hanging above the dome with his own eyes, overlooking everything here.
The lanterns in the old mansion exhausted their last glimmer of light.
"The target person has already escaped. He should be in the underground pipes of the old city district," Old Qin’s voice reminded coldly. "Also, the Titled ’Shuang Chuan’ from South Bay and the Grand Judge ’Sky-reaching Tree’ from East Continent are on their way."
Upon hearing this, Tie Wu laughed softly.
"Understood."
He looked at the uncouth young man in a suit and said with some regret, "It’s not easy to find an opponent... I was looking forward to having a good fight with you. Now it seems there won’t be a chance."
The smile disappeared from Tie Wu’s face in an instant.
His expression turned deadly serious.
Without another word, all it took was the swift diagonal slash of a finger.
It was as if a sharp, splitting beam of cold light exploded suddenly, reaching Song Ci’s chest in an instant.
Crow remained expressionless. His spiritual power was already adjusted to its optimum state. As the cold light pierced his chest, it struck directly against the stone wall of the old mansion, creating a series of overlapping scale-like barriers.
Several sealing objects were arranged in the old mansion of Lion Alley to deal with emergencies.
The beam of cold light buried into the stone wall, emitting hissing white smoke, and after solidifying, its true form could be seen... it was scalding iron water.
The penetrated man in the suit, however, turned into a shattered illusion.
Above the long night, crows cried mournfully.
Song Ci pushed off the ground with each step, propelling himself forward with his body nearly parallel to the ground. He did not follow a straight path but chose a rather complex zigzag route to launch his attack.
Tie Wu, seated upon the Throne, remained expressionless, unfazed by the miss of his casual flick.
With both hands resting on the armrest, he made no further movements, his gaze following the rapidly moving dark shadow.
The "iron spheres" hanging from the high dome fired thousands of blades, which seemed to fall from the sky in an instant, landing on the ground. Normal human vision couldn’t possibly capture the descent... yet, this terrifyingly high speed still couldn’t catch up with Song Ci’s movement.
Countless blades chased after Song Ci, embedding into the earth, densely forming a forest.
This scene... didn’t look like Tie Wu was trying to kill Song Ci with all his might, but rather as if he was cooperating with his opponent in a performance.
Until.
With a "boom"!
A series of shadows flickered and vanished, a sonic explosion occurred, and in an instant, Song Ci arrived in front of Tie Wu who was seated on the Throne, delivering a power-packed roundhouse kick, twisting at the waist with an audible slicing of the air.
This time.
The full-force kick did not hit its target as hoped.
Tie Wu raised his arm to defend, and at that moment, countless iron fragments flew and converged beside his body, clinking against each other, assembling into an arc-shaped iron wall!
A dull "thud" sounded.
Song Ci’s legs trembled slightly, the Iron Throne suspended in the air was kicked aside with enormous force, but merely sidestepped and dissipated all the force. Tie Wu looked disturbed, his face turning pale.
He was curious before... this man in a suit was fast enough, but was his strength sufficient? Now he had his answer.
It was sufficient.
The iron wall was kicked to pieces, the sonic boom resonating in his head, buzzing noisily.
Murderous intent was already surfacing in Tie Wu’s eyes.
His own offensive attack was fast, but this guy was even faster...
In a life or death battle, speed is unbeatable.
He reached out a hand and grasped a small badge inside his windbreaker... The uneven surface of that badge was engraved with a ring of vines, at the very center laid a grape in relief.
He had originally looked down upon Da Du... This backward East Continent couldn’t compare to the Central Continent, the strength of Transcendents here was simply unbearable to witness, but he had to admit, this man was quite troublesome.
Even though he was fighting with all his might, he was confident of victory.
But now was not the time for him to engage in a drawn-out battle.
Should he use the token?
As he hesitated, Tie Wu felt a chilling sensation in his heart.
From within the dusty old mansion in the distance, a bright light shot out, illuminating him as he sat on the Iron Throne.
Amid the dust and smoke stood a woman.
Above her head floated a Spiritual Body, entwined in mist, with a vertical pupil opening at her brow, from which the strong light was emitted.
Spiritual Eyes!
Liu Yi, standing at the gate of the old mansion, clenched her teeth tightly and stared hard at Tie Wu in the air.
Her hands were subtly hidden in her sleeves, covertly holding a bell... It was the Soul-locking Bell that had been returned to her by Song Ci after it was passed on to the young official.
Cold sweat covered Liu Yi’s forehead.
For her... making a move was an extremely pressured choice. Once she used the Spiritual Eyes, she would be exposed. If she failed to capture the spirit of that Angel Envoy, or if the Soul-locking Bell failed to activate again.
Then what might follow... could be a downpour of iron rain upon her.
And she did not have Song Ci’s terrifying speed and adaptability.
She had to choose the right moment!
"Hit!"
Liu Yi shouted angrily, a flash of light bursting from her beautiful eyes.
A "buzzing" sound.
Tie Wu felt as if something had heavily struck his spirit.
The woman on the ground, with the tiny bell in her sleeve, rang it lightly.
In Tie Wu’s mind, however, the sound was as profound as a great bell.
In an instant, it was deafening.
Out-of-body spirit!
"Whoosh—"
Song Ci had no time to cast an appreciative glance at Liu Yi. Seeing the Angel Envoy on the Throne looking dazed, he knew that the small, broken bell had worked!
In the skies above.
Thunder exploded.
Almost instantly, Song Ci arrived in front of Tie Wu. He could clearly see the man’s stupefied expression, his spirit obviously not returned, incapable of any defense, so he threw a fierce punch.
This punch was aimed at Tie Wu’s chest.
Intending to pierce through him and the entire Throne as one!
