Although He Ao wasn’t tired, he still took a rest during the flight and refreshed himself a little.

An hour and a half before nearing the destination, the airplane broadcast began to play, and the flight attendants started to educate passengers on some basic knowledge about the relics.

All this knowledge had been mentioned in books under the television, probably a summary of the essential points. After listening for a while, He Ao continued studying magic.

At that moment, there was another knock on his door.

He hesitated but eventually opened the door.

"Do you want to listen to the broadcast?"

The girl outside, wearing a husky half-face mask, asked softly.

He Ao shook his head.

"I don’t want to either; I just read all the books in the cabin, and it nearly bored me to death... Let me tell you..."

The girl was obviously a bit excited.

Slam—

He Ao closed the door.

...

After a brief silence, He Ao heard slow footsteps and the sound of the opposite cabin’s door closing.

He Ao continued reading and used some materials he had casually taken from home when he left to make some small props.

Half an hour later, there was another knock at his door.

He Ao opened the door and, before the other person could speak, he took out a coin and said softly, "Want to see some magic?"

The Speech Master hesitated for a moment, then nodded enthusiastically.

He Ao took out a marker, handed the coin and the marker to the Speech Master,

"Make a unique mark."

With an excited face, the Speech Master took the coin and pen, about to speak, when she heard He Ao continue, "Any mark will do; don’t ask about anything else."

The Speech Master lowered her head again, which she had raised, pouted her lips, and fell into a brief contemplation with the marker in hand.

Then she made a few strokes on the coin and returned the marker and coin to He Ao.

He Ao glanced at the coin, which now had a cute smiley face on it.

He shook his head with a smile, put away the marker, and then rolled up his sleeves to show the Speech Master his empty palms and smooth, firm forearms.

"Now I have only this coin in my hand, the one you marked, the one that’s unique in this world."

He Ao pinched the coin with his right hand, right hand above, and left hand below, and gently flicked it inside. The coin fell from the palm of his right hand into his left hand below.

Then he clenched his left hand and casually threw it up into the air.

"That’s the air conditioning vent..."

The Speech Master quickly alerted He Ao, but just as she did, a soft snapping sound reached her ears.

He Ao’s right hand retracted from behind her head, holding the silver coin with the smiling face, "It’s here."

"Eh, eh, eh?"

The Speech Master was stunned, "How did you do that?"

"Once a magic trick is revealed, it becomes boring," He Ao shrugged, "The show is over."

Before the Speech Master could ask another question, he reached out and closed the door.

"Eh?"

A puzzled voice came from the Speech Master outside the door.

He Ao sat back down in his original position. The trick was actually very simple; it was all about sleight of hand.

When the coin was tossed from the right hand to the left, the right hand’s four fingers were slightly bent downward. The coin didn’t fall into the left hand at all but landed on the four bent fingers of the right hand. The coin was on the right hand the whole time, just concealed by He Ao.

However, as long as He Ao’s performance is convincing, the audience will imagine the coin falling from his right hand to his left hand.

Then, while He Ao distracts the audience by tossing the coin with his left hand, he simply grabs at a place with his right hand and pretends to ’pick up’ the coin.

Once the secret behind the magic is known, it often loses its wonder.

This trick is simple, and He Ao found it easy to learn; the only prop needed was a single coin.

But its effect was quite impressive.

Item teleportation.

He Ao looked towards a firecracker box nearby, lightly raised his hand, and the firecracker box instantly appeared in his hand.

After solidifying this trick into a miracle magic, He Ao could turn the ’miracle’ performed into a real miracle, able to pick up items not immediately at hand without regard for a certain distance.

However, this magic came with limits; the object had to be of a size that He Ao could hold or conceal in his hands. This restriction likely originated from the form of the trick’s performance, making it impossible to deceive the audience with objects beyond what his hands could grasp or cover.

The farthest distance he could retrieve an object from was ten meters, presumably the distance a coin could be thrown.

Within ten meters, He Ao could move these objects to his hands and then toss them to any location.

Of course, could He Ao break these limits?

He could.

He lightly raised his hand, and a marker, which clearly couldn’t be easily concealed by hand and exceeded the trick’s limits, appeared in his grasp.

Moving this oversized marker required far more mental energy than moving an object within the defined limits.

But for someone like He Ao, who had grown accustomed to life-consuming practices, this didn’t seem like a big issue.

As long as he had a mouthful of Corpse Flower Solution, he could even perform telekinesis with a sword, executing a wave of sword-controlling techniques.

This magic was simple, but quite useful in battle, albeit with the inability to move living creatures.

Another half-hour passed, the flight attendant’s announcement ended, and everyone was instructed to buckle up as the plane prepared to land.

The Speech Master didn’t bother He Ao again.

In fact, as an ’audience,’ the Speech Master was quite good.

After all, in order to solidify a trick into a miracle magic, a magician needed to perform the trick completely and convince the audience of the ’miracle.’

There were two key points here: first, there had to be an audience, and second, the audience had to believe.

Hmm, the more gullible the audience, the better.

As the plane touched down, He Ao and the others disembarked one after another.

Standing on the stairs leading down from the plane, He Ao looked up to see a sea of darkness, vast and boundless.

This was Liu Zhengyun’s private island.

There were twelve special appointed researchers in their group, including He Ao.

Eight of them were wearing masks, each more monstrous than the last.

With a greasy paper bag over his head, He Ao could be considered average; the most egregious was the one with blue and white striped underpants over his head.

It wouldn’t be called shocking so much as out of the ordinary.

The man with the underwear on his head, seeing He Ao looking at him, politely nodded in his direction then followed the staff’s lead towards the interior of the island.

"That man’s codename is Underpants Superman, he’s from Nandu, and he is said to be very strong."

The Speech Master popped his head out from behind He Ao.

Underpants Superman... that couldn’t possibly be his talent name... could it?

Could there really be such an offbeat talent?

Watching the man’s composed departure, He Ao came to understand the meaning of ’If I don’t think it’s weird, then the weird ones are everyone else.’

"That girl with the silicone mask is ’Gymnastics Athlete,’ don’t be fooled by her thin arms and legs, she’s incredibly flexible and strong in combat, rumored to be E-rated," the Speech Master continued to blabber behind He Ao.
