Life Game In Other World -
Chapter 1141: Request (For Monthly Pass)
Chapter 1141: Chapter 1141: Request (For Monthly Pass)
Warm electronic fireplace in front of the clear floor-to-ceiling window.
The smiling butler pulls out a bloodstained dagger from the struggling man’s neck.
Then he lets go, leaving the man convulsing and struggling on the ground like a dehydrated fish.
He picks up a clean white hot towel nearby and slowly wipes off the blood on his hands.
Then he flips through his bracelet, a slight smile curling the corners of his mouth as he looks at the message on it.
North Twelfth Street.
——
"Hahaha, what are you talking about?"
In the snowy night, Lokte turns back, watching He Ao’s calm gaze and the bloodstained expressionless cheeks, he says with a slightly embarrassed smile, "I’m fine right now, aren’t I? Still very spirited, what do you mean I’m about to die?"
He raises his hand, although with some difficulty, he still normally swings his arm, then he laughs nervously,
"Suote, you’re joking with me, right? This joke isn’t funny, surely you’re not going to kill me, right? Even if you are the deputy chief of staff of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, assassinating a city mayor is a grave crime."
He Ao quietly gazes at him, his eyes deep like ancient wells, as serene as a tranquil deep pool.
He has no intention of killing Lokte, nor is there a need to kill a man who is about to die.
Under the field of view of Divine Sense, the energy circuit inside Lokte has long been shattered, maintained only by some strange Life Force.
But this Life Force can only sustain his life, not reverse the fact that his energy circuit is shattered.
He has already touched death, merely being sustained by that Life Force, delaying his dying process.
By the time He Ao arrived, when he first saw him upon landing, he was already in this state.
Lokte is a Transcendent, but his energy is only at D level. Even if he truly has various hidden cards, it would be difficult for him to last this long against a ’Chaos Mage’ blessed by the God of Chaos.
The energy circuit in his body was probably completely torn apart by Denock’s ’Chaos Art’.
For He Ao, it’s only a ’disturbing’ force, but for a D-level Transcendent, it constitutes overwhelming and uncontrollable violence.
Moreover, Denock’s ’Chaos Art’ can be used infinitely, if once is not enough, he can use it tens or hundreds of times in the blink of an eye.
When Denock was prepared to deal the killing blow, Lokte was actually already dead.
The Transcendent Prop providing Life Force to Lokte could only sustain his life but could not prevent his energy circuit from being torn apart by ’Chaos Art’.
Denock kept pursuing him, most likely due to the Church of Chaos’s habit of toying with their Prey, and the necessity to ensure that Lokte died in front of him.
"You are deceiving me, right?"
Lokte looks at He Ao, raising his hand with a hint of hope, "I know, you want to negotiate, what are your conditions? Anything is okay, just say it, we can talk, we can talk!"
But He Ao still maintains his calm, expressionlessly watching him.
Looking into those deep eyes, Lokte finally falls silent.
He himself is actually aware of his body’s sensations; he knows from some moment that his body stopped responding to his commands, his Transcendent Power seemed to suddenly disappear.
The more he could feel death’s proximity, the more urgently he wanted to do something.
"No, no, you’re definitely lying to me,"
He leans on the motorcycle, looking at He Ao, shouting somewhat hysterically.
In that instant, his body seemed to be supported by an invisible force, propelling him to He Ao, grabbing his collar,
"You just want to lower my price, I know, I know, you are no different from those consortia, you just want to turn me into your puppet!"
He bares his teeth, his bloodstained face looking exceptionally ferocious, "Okay, okay, I agree, I agree, now you can take back your intimidation, right?! Tell me, what can you do to save me?!"
He looks at He Ao, eyes widening.
But the response he gets is only silent silence.
He tries hard to grasp He Ao’s collar, but the force supporting his body gradually weakens, like an invisible hand pulling away his spine,
"You have a way, right, you come from Ains,"
His voice hoarse, his body involuntarily stooping "You must have encountered those most advanced medical devices, there must be one that can save me, there must be."
He seems to recall something, hurriedly pulling out a black wallet from a tightly sewn inner pocket of his damaged jacket.
He opens this wallet, revealing various cards engraved with different patterns, inlaid with gold and gems, each card bearing the emblem of different banks, displaying the owner’s prestige with as lavish designs as possible.
He holds up these cards, presenting them like treasures to He Ao, "I have money, I have lots and lots of money, I also have houses, lots and lots of houses, in Dawn City, in Vitland, in Ains, all for you if you can save me."
He presses the wallet against the person’s chest in front of him, eyes hopeful as he looks at him.
But He Ao does not take his wallet, not even glancing at it.
He looked at the figure before him, his head lowered in a daze as he glanced at the wallet in his hand, then he laughed, "Hah, I know now, you’re still deceiving me, you’re just playing with me,"
He stepped back, leaning on the motorcycle again, glaring at He Ao with anger, his fingers tightening around the wallet as he pointed at He Ao and roared loudly,
"Suote, what do you think you are?! You’re nothing but a dog for the Federal Bureau of Investigation! You’re just a mad dog let loose by Ains to bite people!"
"When they need you, to strike down their political enemies, they let you out to bite people. When they don’t need you anymore, they give you a death mission to have someone get rid of you."
His voice rose in anger and eventually turned into loud laughter, "You think you’re so noble? You’re just a dog too? You and I are the same, propped up when useful, killed and discarded when not."
As he spoke, he suddenly became frantic, "No, we’re not the same, I can still live, I still have money, I can definitely find someone to treat me."
He turned around, trying to climb onto the motorcycle, but his weak limbs just couldn’t manage it.
After several attempts, he staggered and fell to the ground.
The snow was getting heavier, falling on the shoulders of both men.
"Do you know, the two major corporations have planted who knows how many people inside the City Defense Army,"
He looked at He Ao, his voice hoarse as he chuckled, "Owai is a indecisive and mediocre person, he can’t control these traitors, nor does he want to, now these traitors are about to open the city gates, letting the Mercenary Corps from the South and North Cities come in,"
He raised his hand as if lifting a sharp knife, swinging it slightly madly, "The corporations will kill everyone, including you, including those fools following you, they will kill everyone, you will die, all of you will die."
Then, he suddenly remembered something, opened the wallet in his hand, and took out a black card.
The blood on his hands stained the card red, he raised the card, laughing loudly, "I know now, I know now, you want this, the Mayor’s Authority Card, with this card one can operate or lock the city gates with the highest authority."
He waved the card in his hand, "Do you want it?"
He Ao’s gaze remained calm as he watched Lokte, his eyes steady, observing the card being waved, and slowly opened his mouth,
"The Minister of Agriculture Viko lacks a ’Chaos Church bodyguard’ you arranged, doesn’t he? Where does he live?"
"Ha, hahaha, hahahaha,"
Upon hearing this, Lokte looked at He Ao, raising his finger at him, "That’s your game, that’s your plan, hahaha, he’s already dead, you can’t find him now,"
He laughed loudly, "The corporations aren’t fools, the Minister of Agriculture is the fifth in line to inherit, they hate him more than they hate me, when they were killing me, they must have sent someone to kill him too, he must be dead by now."
He raised the black card in his hand, his face twisted as he stared at He Ao, "You want everything and you get nothing, I’d break this card before giving it to you!"
He clutched the card, attempting to break it with force.
But the force of his pulling weakened, eventually only slightly bending the specially made alloy card.
He bowed his body, his body twitching, and drops of clear liquid fell on the cracked ground, "I just want to keep going forward, I just want a better life, I just want more money, more power, a better life, what is wrong with that? What is wrong with me?"
He threw the wallet on the ground, watching it roll among the rubble, cards studded with gems and gold scattering out of the wallet.
He raised his hand and threw the unbreakable Mayor’s Authority Card forward.
The dark card flew through the sky.
He Ao gently raised his hand, and the card landed right in his palm.
"You should go. Although Owai has given up, his men won’t, Owai has intentionally let these people guard the city gates, so the gates won’t be easily breached,"
Lokte lowered his head, as though all the strength had drained from his body, "Viko has been assassinated many times, prepared many safe houses, tonight he should be in the safe house at 156 North Twelfth Street, not many people know this safe house, but the corporations aren’t fools, they’ll find him soon, I hope he’s lucky enough."
Saying this, he scoffed, "Those ahead of him are all my trusted, each one has a ’best’ bodyguard, now it seems, it’s actually smoothed his path."
He shakily sat up, "I’m also giving you this bike, the password is 0736, although I know you’d have a way to ride it off without the password, go ahead, go,"
He waved his hand, disheveled snowflakes falling on his disheveled hair, "You got what you wanted, don’t keep watching me here, you’ve won, you’ve thoroughly won."
He Ao held the card in his hand, looking down at the figure sitting among the snowflakes.
0736, the founding anniversary of Minte City.
He didn’t say anything more, but mounted the motorcycle directly, entered the password, and casually tied Denock’s body to the motorcycle before starting the off-road motorcycle with the roar of the engine.
As a seasoned politician, Lokte’s thoughts were exceptionally stable, despite how hysterical his behavior was, his surface thoughts remained blank, mixed with various misleading and chaotic thoughts, preventing anyone from probing his heart with their abilities.
Facing such a person, pressing him would only make him more combative, more defensive, and cautious, making it harder to obtain valid information.
So He Ao quietly waited, waiting for him to vent his fears and emotions, waiting for the defenses of his mind to collapse on their own.
It was not until cracks appeared in his mind that He Ao asked about ’Minister of Agriculture Viko.’
This question struck directly at Lokte’s deepest fear, piercing into his mental cracks, and completely shattered his defenses.
What slightly surprised He Ao was that Lokte did not resist vehemently in the end; after the intense emotional turmoil, he chose ’reconciliation’, with He Ao, with Viko, and with himself.
Letting He Ao leave was not out of his impatience, but his final request.
He did not wish to be seen by his ’enemies’ in his tragic final moments; he wanted to die alone, here.
He Ao fulfilled his request and left the place.
