She wanted to say more, but her hands were full of shopping bags, making it inconvenient.

So, he happily asked, "Who are you with?"

"With my brother." Gu Joy, feeling a bit tired, waved at Gu Xiaobao and then sat down on a nearby bench.

It seemed she hadn’t shopped in a long time, and her stamina had decreased.

"How much longer do you plan to shop?" Zhou Yanlin pondered internally, planning to go find her.

Zhou Yanlin felt disappointed, as he had wanted to go see her.

"Well then, are you free tonight? There’s a new movie that’s been getting good reviews, how about we go see it?" Zhou Yanlin finally asked.

He was a bit nervous, it being the first time he had asked her out to a movie. Though he didn’t want to make things too obvious, he at least wanted to let her know his intentions.

Gu Joy was clearly stunned, taking a while to come around before responding, "Sure, I haven’t gone to the movies in a long time."

She didn’t know why she agreed, but she just followed her heart.

Though she wasn’t sure what he meant, her logic told her not to refuse because it was a rare opportunity.

Perhaps he just wanted to show her the movie, she shouldn’t read too much into it.

Upon hearing her response, Zhou Yanlin was ecstatic, thinking it was wonderful!

"Great, see you tonight then," Zhou Yanlin said joyfully.

After hanging up, Gu Xiaobao looked at Gu Joy with a puzzled expression and asked, "Sis, who was that? What do they want?"

It sounded like they were planning a date.

Gu Joy was startled and then responded, "A friend, they invited me out, mind your own business, kiddo."

Gu Joy had almost forgotten about Xiaobao and didn’t know how much he had heard; she can’t let him know about this or he’d cause trouble with mom and dad.

It was nothing serious, but who knows what he might say about it?

"Sis, I’ll come with you." Gu Xiaobao had a hunch the caller was a guy.

"Why would you come with us? It’s all girls; isn’t it inappropriate for you to join?" Gu Joy quickly dismissed the idea.

"All girls?" Gu Xiaobao was still a bit skeptical.

"Yes," Gu Joy nodded, silently repeating to herself, this is a white lie!

Gu Xiaobao finally seemed satisfied, then asked, "Do we keep shopping or go find mom and dad?"

"No more shopping, I’m tired. Let’s go there and have some milk tea." She had been eyeing it for a while.

"Okay!" He was just going along for the ride.

So, they entered a milk tea shop, ordered two signature bubble teas, and also got a piece of cake.

Gu Joy was hungry by then and couldn’t care less.

After having their milk tea, they took a taxi to the Gu Group Corporation.

Everyone recognized them despite their rare visits, so they went up smoothly.

Gu Shaoting was just about to make a phone call to find someone when he saw them, happy to see each person carrying bags full of exquisite shopping items, he laughed.

Soon, the family of four left to go out for a meal!
