Chapter 228: Chapter 224, 225: Naval Battle!

He Xingzhou wore his Spiritual Light Smart Glasses, and the operational perspective of the Mecha appeared before his eyes.

In front of him was a vast expanse of azure sea. The near-shore waters looked even fresher in color due to the refraction of light.

In the water, some fish were swimming. Not all creatures on Blue Star had mutated; there were still plenty of normal creatures living.

He Xingzhou operated the Thunder Shark, first performing free diving maneuvers, moving in various ways in the water. Up, down, left, right, accelerate, decelerate, spiral forward, and so on.

"Feels okay. There’s indeed a difference from operating a Mecha in the air," He Xingzhou compared, noting that in water, acceleration wasn’t as smooth as in the air. Even after minimizing the water resistance, a sluggish sensation was still perceptible, demanding more from the operator.

"Got to test the weapons!" He started searching for Mutant Creatures.

In the near-shore area, continuous clearance of Mutant Creatures and the Zerg by fleets and troops meant he had to head for deeper waters.

At this moment, the Flood Dragon Deep Sea Battleship, controlled by Liu Tianhu, also hurried over. He chuckled, "Dr. He, how about a race?"

"Whoever reaches the undersea tunnel construction section first wins!" He Xingzhou said, then activated the acceleration mode. The Thunder Shark charged forth like a rampaging great white shark in the depths.

The Flood Dragon Deep Sea Battleship wasn’t about to lag behind. Its Manta-like structural design meant it encountered less resistance underwater and soon caught up.

"What’s that?" At the deep-sea tunnel monitoring station, several monitors saw two shadows flash by, thinking they were Zerg, and immediately slowed down to check.

"Wow, what’s this new equipment? A battleship... And a Mecha?" The monitors’ eyes gleamed, "This equipment is so cool!"

Simultaneously, they received system feedback, "It’s Dr. He and Station Chief Liu testing new equipment!"

"I knew it, there must be new underwater equipment!" An excited young monitor exclaimed, "Look at that Deep Sea Battleship, it feels like a UFO, and that Mecha with a shark design—super cool, absolutely stunning!"

"Keep watching, slow it down!" They continued to observe the Mecha and Warship.

Soon, the Thunder Shark and Flood Dragon arrived at the undersea tunnel’s end, where construction was still ongoing. Underwater rock layers and a tunneling machine were drilling.

The vibrations it generated attracted Zerg, gathering various Zerg and Mutant Creatures there, attempting to sabotage the tunnel.

This wasn’t the first time it had happened. Expelling them in the deep sea was extremely difficult.

Because they were constructing the undersea tunnel, they couldn’t launch torpedoes or underwater missiles, only using ultrasound or electronic harpoons and nets to drive them away.

For the Zerg, such attacks were child’s play. They had broken through the tunnel several times, forcing construction to halt and necessitating drainage and tunnel reinforcement.

"Damn these bugs, I’ll go first!" Liu Tianhu, controlling the Flood Dragon, charged forward, using high-pressure electric currents instead of bombs.

This underwater high-voltage battery emitter was developed from the Level 6 Zerg King Sea Eel, generating a powerful current that electrocuted a swath of Zerg.

"Mastering lightning, this Warship is awesome!" The monitors shouted like they were watching a movie, cheering them on from the monitoring station.

Liu Tianhu was about to control the Flood Dragon to pursue when suddenly a massive head emerged from the seabed mud beneath him.

Its head alone was larger than the Flood Dragon itself. It was a Level 6 Zerg with some kind of stealth talent; infrared, sonar, and laser radar had all failed to detect it.

"Watch out!" The audience of monitors couldn’t help but shout out; this creature could swallow the Flood Dragon whole in one bite!

As its open mouth, with sharp teeth, was about to pierce the Flood Dragon, a red laser instantly shot out, heating the seawater it touched to thousands of degrees Celsius within a second. More than half of the gaping maw was cut away by the laser, and blood stained the ocean red.

The Thunder Shark lifted its laser transmitter, aiming in that direction. He Xingzhou smiled, "The combat maneuverability of the Deep Sea Mecha is quite good."

"Indeed," Liu Tianhu agreed, saying, "The Flood Dragon is more suited for collective warfare and range attacks."

"Each has its strengths and weaknesses." He Xingzhou was satisfied with the test results. He controlled the Thunder Shark to collect the Zerg corpse he had just killed, planning to bring it back for research since it could hide from various detectors’ monitoring, indicating it must have some special function.

"The Deep Sea Mecha is cooler!" Someone among the monitors shouted.

"I think the Deep Sea Battleship is more formidable. It was just an accident; the Deep Sea Battleship should also have Laser Weapons, right?"

"Then, the Mecha must also have electric weapons! Isn’t it as powerful as the Warship?" The monitors started debating fervently over this matter.

Meanwhile, He Xingzhou and Liu Tianhu operated their equipment to return to base.

"The initial test was successful, time to commence mass production!" He Xingzhou said.

"They’ve already received the orders," Liu Tianhu replied. As they returned, the manufacturing plant began replication, with most parts ready, merely waiting for assembly.

...

Fifteen more days passed, and three groups of Zerg preparing to attack Yizhou had fully gathered.

In the deep sea near the area, there were Zerg and Mutant Creatures everywhere, including high-level Zerg.

In a secret area, three small groups of Zerg converged, distinguishing themselves from each other while remaining on guard.
