Chapter 1410: Chapter 1410: Dizzy
Gabriel Young…
Julius Reed pulled out a diamond-studded crystal business card from his pocket, comparing the number on it.
Not a single digit was off.
“Huh…” Merrill Caldwell, sharp-eyed, saw the business card and asked with some surprise, “Brother West Tower, how do you know Auntie Gabriel, and even have her business card?”
“Uh…” Julius Reed was at a loss for words momentarily.
He certainly couldn’t say that he met Gabriel Young in the square and she wanted to keep him as a sugar boy, hence she left her card.
“Just friends.” Julius Reed coughed lightly, his brain spinning rapidly.
But no matter what, he never expected that the rich woman who chatted him up in the square was the Family Head of the Young Family!
No wonder the business card was so luxurious; she really had status!
“Impossible!” The usually compliant Merrill Caldwell actually shook her head unexpectedly, “Auntie Gabriel’s crystal business card, there are no more than five. One of them is at Ambrose Young’s father’s memorial. If you were just friends, you should never have such a card. Unless…”
“Unless you stole it!” Ava Harris sneered from the side, “So it makes sense! That pickpocket before, it really was you…”
Swish!
Before she could finish speaking, the sword was already upon her.
The sharpest part of the bone sword was pointed right at Ava Harris’s snow-white neck.
Less than half a centimeter from a previous wound.
“Continue speaking, I am quite interested.” Julius Reed spoke leisurely.
But how could Ava Harris dare to continue?
If it were an ordinary person, it would be nothing, but she had just witnessed this masked man’s skills firsthand.
Moreover, anyone who could enter Cloud Pavilion, which one does not have a complex identity?
Seeing the guard’s respectful demeanor, it really didn’t seem like the treatment towards a small power.
“Brother West Tower, although Ava talks too much, please don’t lower yourself to her level!” Merrill Caldwell had to play peacemaker reluctantly.
“What’s going on!”
At that moment, Ambrose Young arrived with his people.
He had just passed through the corridor with his bodyguards and saw the masked man pointing a sword at Ava.
“Seize him! How dare he hurt Miss Caldwell!” Ambrose Young’s face changed color, using this as an opportunity to vent his anger.
“Brother Ambrose!”
Merrill Caldwell cautiously pushed the bone sword from Julius Reed’s hands, standing between the two and explained, “Brother West Tower said the hair on Ava’s neck was long, he was just helping her shave!”
Several guards from the Young Family had already rushed over, but upon hearing Merrill Caldwell’s words, they stopped in their tracks.
Whether they should proceed was dependent on their young master’s will.
“Is that so?” Ambrose Young stood with both hands behind his back, clenching them into fists.
How could Jorvik Reed, like a sticky plaster, be seen everywhere!
Yet, he couldn’t afford to cause a scene.
“Yes…” Ava Harris had never suffered such humiliation in her life.
Threatened with a sword, now having to claim it was just shaving.
But since Merrill Caldwell spoke, she had to comply.
After all, Ava was just a maid of the Caldwell Family.
“A false alarm, a false alarm!” Hearing this answer, Ambrose Young almost choked, nearly passing out.
Could it get any more absurd?
To not point it out felt like an insult to his intelligence.
But pointing it out would only embarrass Merrill Caldwell.
“Just you wait! If you can walk out of Swimming City alive, I’ll call you ‘Dad’!” Ambrose Young cursed in his heart, but his face bore a smile, “Since it’s a misunderstanding, let’s head to the private box first. Brother West Tower, Cloud Pavilion has many treasures, please feel at ease.”
“Let’s go together.” Merrill Caldwell cooed, “Brother West Tower is alone, let him stay with us, alright?”
“I…” Ambrose Young was nearly furious!
If it weren’t for Miss Caldwell speaking, he would have had him beaten to death and thrown into Danvers River!
However, since it was Miss Caldwell who spoke, of course, he must choose to forgive her.
“Good! I originally wanted to become friends with West Tower brother too, but brother, you truly are the first person in over twenty years to refuse a handshake with me!”
Ambrose Young’s words were clearly intentional.
It was the other party who lacked manners first, and he had already been sufficiently restrained.
For a normal person, after hearing these words, they probably wouldn’t have the face to stay with them anymore.
But Julius Reed wasn’t thinking about these things.
If there’s a private room available, wouldn’t it be foolish not to go?
Concerns about face and reputation, aren’t those things for the saints to consider?
“Respect is less important than obedience,” Julius Reed said indifferently.
Ambrose Young, feeling proud, suddenly shivered. After taking a deep breath, he extended his right hand: “Please!”
As long as you don’t feel embarrassed, then the embarrassment is always on someone else.
And now, Ambrose Young was truly embarrassed!
Especially seeing Merrill Caldwell’s fan-girl-like gaze, it could anger him half to death!
Walking in about thirty meters, the group arrived in front of the private room.
“Young Master!”
The doorman immediately saluted and pushed open the door of the room, watching as the group entered.
Upon entering the private room, Julius Reed casually sat down on a chair, unhooked the thermos from his waist, and sipped some glacial water.
Merrill Caldwell quickly sat down next to him.
“Cloud Pavilion has eight private rooms!” After sitting down, Ambrose Young’s mouth quivered wildly, barely keeping his increasingly crumbling demeanor under control. “West Tower brother, guess who owns these eight rooms!”
Endurance brings encroachment!
So, he had no choice but to lay his cards on the table.
“Not interested,” Julius Reed finished in three words, causing Ambrose Young’s face to turn livid instantly.
Seeing the tension rise again, Merrill Caldwell hurriedly interjected: “The eight rooms belong to two kings, four chancellors, the City Lord’s Mansion, and Lord Ghost Seven. Among them, four are large private rooms and four are small private rooms. We are in one of the large rooms. Am I right, brother Ambrose?”
“Correct!” Ambrose Young forced a smile, but his eyes still intently fixed on Julius Reed. “West Tower brother, your skills are good. My brothers wish to broaden their horizons. Could you give them a chance?”
Julius Reed did not speak, instead he took the thermos, poured a little water for Merrill Caldwell: “Thousand-year glacial water, want to try?”
“Yes, please!” Merrill Caldwell took the cup, gently sipped a small mouthful, feeling a warm sensation spreading throughout her body.
But suddenly, she furrowed her brows tightly, lying in agony across the table.
“Miss!”
Ava Harris dashed to Merrill Caldwell’s side in a single bound, holding her in her arms, quickly placing her right middle finger under her nose.
“Miss passed out!”
Her eyes narrowed, seemingly realizing something.
But after a brief hesitation, Ava Harris fiercely turned around, glaring at Julius Reed: “You rogue! Our young mistress treated you with sincerity, yet you dared to harm her!”
As she spoke, she pointed at the cup, her voice suddenly turning cold: “Poisoning the water, you are truly despicable!”
“You’re courting death!”
Bang!
Ambrose Young fiercely slammed the table, roaring: “Seize him!”
“Stand back!”
Paying no heed to the reaction inside the room, Julius Reed stood in front of Merrill Caldwell.
“What are you doing! Do not harm…”
Bang!
With a fierce push of his right hand, Ava Harris, like a kite with its string cut, flew back and heavily slammed against the wall of the private room!
“Cold Frost Syndrome?” When Julius Reed touched Merrill Caldwell’s wrist, he immediately understood the reason behind the young lady’s fainting.
Boulevard mountains are perennially cold, but it poses no issue for martial artists.
However, Merrill Caldwell has no cultivation, and living there year-round, the chill in her body accumulated more and more, already harming her muscles and meridians.
“Let go of Miss Caldwell! You’re seeking death!” Seeing Ava Harris being hit, Ambrose Young pointed at Julius Reed, shouting: “Attack! Whoever apprehends him, award of 3000 Swimming City Currency!”
