Chapter 313 - 313: Mutant Killer Bee

BAM! BAM! BAM!

Explosions rang out continuously, accompanied by the constant sound of system notifications echoing in his ears.

🔔 [Ding! You have killed a Killer Bee larva. You have been assigned 1 Rage Point.]

🔔 [Ding! You have killed a Killer Bee larva. You have been assigned 1 Rage Point.]

🔔 [Ding! You have killed a Killer Bee larva. You have been assigned 1 Rage Point.]

"System, mute notifications," Noan frowned. "Only notify me when the points reach 999, understood?"

🔔 [Ding! Notifications have been muted.]

Below, a sea of fire raged, mixed with the shrieks of the Killer Bee larvae.

The golden fluid flowing from their mouths was carefully preserved by Noan using his spatial ability, then stored inside the 'Storage Space'.

Fire… fire was everywhere, illuminating an entire vast region.

"Hm?!" Suddenly, Noan sensed as if a pair of eyes were watching him from afar.

Noan turned, searching his surroundings, but he couldn't find anything.

All he saw was darkness.

Below, the fire continued to devour the humanoid statues.

The flames spread rapidly into the distance, and Noan saw more and more statues.

An entire vast field was filled with statues of all kinds of races.

Humans, monsters, and even some races Noan had never seen before.

Whoosh!

Suddenly, a sharp gust of wind startled him. Instinctively, Noan used his teleportation ability to dodge.

Whoosh!

Right where he'd just been standing, a streak of green light sliced through the space, shooting down below.

BAM!

That streak of green light struck the burning ground, leaving behind an extremely thin but astonishingly deep groove.

Krit! Krit! Krit!

A Killer Bee was hovering in the distance. Noticing Noan's disappearance, it immediately looked around.

"Looking for me?"

A voice echoed behind it.

It moved instantly, but it was already too late.

Whoong!

The sound rang out like a bell, and a streak of light swept through the body of the Killer Bee.

The bee, hovering midair, was suddenly sliced clean in two, its body dropping to the ground below.

Noan wanted to rush after it and retrieve the energy crystal within.

After all, it was a Killer Bee—even if it wasn't a mutant, there would surely be an energy crystal inside its body.

Noan reached out, about to use his Spatial Talent to extract the energy crystal.

Suddenly, he sensed something, and immediately teleported, vanishing from sight.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Countless green wind blades shot toward where he had just been, so dense they seemed to shred the very space into pieces.

Noan reappeared at a distance, eyes narrowing as he gazed off into the darkness.

There, even though it was pitch-black, he could see countless pairs of eyes emitting eerie green light, all fixed on him.

Noan took a deep breath, thinking to himself: 'Not good, if I keep relying on teleportation, I'll run out of energy soon.'

That's right—he was only a rank D, level 5 Lord, and his energy was limited.

Meanwhile, his Spatial Talent was rank SS, and using it consumed an enormous amount of energy.

Noan frowned. He could teleport back to the cave.

But now, his body was covered in the scent marked by the Killer Bee larvae.

If he went back to the cave, Elgar and Khorvath would also be in danger.

Noan took a deep breath, then smiled and said, "Alright then. Let's fight. Vylyss, if things get dangerous for me, you'll help, right?"

"Master, I can destroy them all." Vylyss suddenly shouted.

Noan frowned, thinking for a moment before waving his hand. Vylyss instantly appeared, floating in the air.

Noan said with a frown, "You handle that side. I'll—"

"Master, you just need to watch," Vylyss said confidently.

She soared higher, her body beginning to transform. Her wings spread wide, her horns grew longer.

On her body, glowing purple veins appeared, like flowing streams of energy.

Boom!

A thunderous explosion echoed, accompanied by a shockwave like a tidal wave sweeping outward at terrifying speed.

The Killer Bees in the distance seemed to sense something utterly terrifying approaching—they slowly retreated.

But it was already too late.

Vylyss pressed her palms together, and a massive magic circle appeared before her, radiating a blinding purple and black light.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Countless sounds like iron chains striking echoed through the space.

Immediately after, a myriad of chains burst forth from the magic circle at incredible speed, shooting toward the distant Killer Bees.

The swarm scattered in panic, but the chains, like relentless serpents, refused to let them escape.

Noan was not idle—he kept a vigilant eye on their surroundings, ready to shield Vylyss.

At that moment, a Mutant Killer Bee appeared.

"Huh! Just as I thought." Noan snorted in disdain.

Vylyss frowned, her gaze cold as she spotted the Mutant Killer Bee charging at her.

"Don't worry, just focus on wiping out the swarm," Noan shouted. "I'll handle that one."

The Abyss Cube transformed into a shield in Noan's hand.

He flew to stand behind Vylyss, shielding her.

The Mutant Killer Bee transformed into a whirlwind, its stinger spinning like a drill as it shot toward him.

Noan raised his shield, and—

BAM!

A resounding impact exploded through the air, creating a violent shockwave that blasted outward.

Noan gritted his teeth, feeling pain shoot up his arm.

The bee's stinger was blocked by Noan's shield, but it didn't give up, immediately darting back.

Noan bit back the pain, commanded the Abyss Cube to morph instantly into a sword.

A dazzling sword light flashed out, accompanied by a sound like a ringing bell.

Whoong!

The sword light slashed through space, as if splitting this world in two.

However, the Mutant Killer Bee had already vanished.

"Tsk!" Noan clicked his tongue, scanning the area for the elusive bee.

"Master!" Vylyss suddenly shouted.

Hearing her, Noan looked into the distance.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

In the distance, the Mutant Killer Bee was using its massive stinger to smash through the chains, rescuing other Killer Bees.

Noan frowned and said, "Keep attacking the Killer Bees. I'll stop that one."

"Master, that's too dangerous," Vylyss replied anxiously.

"It's fine!" Noan reassured her. "I've set a 'Rally Point.' If things go wrong, I'll teleport away."

Vylyss bit her lip, then nodded.

Noan didn't waste any more time. Gripping his sword, he shot toward the Mutant Killer Bee.

This creature was on a completely different level than the rest. Not only was it faster, but its reflexes, strength, and sheer size were all far superior.

If a single Mutant Killer Bee appeared in human territory, it would be a catastrophic disaster on its own.

Clang!

It swung its steel-hard stinger, smashing through one of Vylyss's chains and successfully rescuing a bee.

Pfff!

But there were simply too many chains; saving one bee didn't mean the rest were safe. Another Killer Bee was impaled by a chain and fell from the sky.

Krit! Krit!

The Mutant Killer Bee screeched, the sound transforming into gusts of wind.

It flapped its wings and sped toward Vylyss—but a shadow appeared in its path.

"Your opponent is me!" Noan roared.

Then—

Whoong!

A blinding flash of light shot straight toward the Mutant Killer Bee.

At such close range, Noan believed it wouldn't have time to react.

He was wrong.

The searing light pierced right through the Mutant Killer Bee's head and shot far into the distance.

But only a second later, its body shimmered like an illusion and vanished.

"What the hell?!" Noan gasped, unable to believe what just happened.

Whoosh!

From above, the Mutant Killer Bee dove down, its stinger stabbing at Noan's head—less than a meter away.

"Damn it!"
