Chapter 719: Chapter 335 Dream of the Great Group_2

“It’s not just disheartening, it’s utterly despairing~… so I don’t believe it, nor do I truly know it to be such, yet the problem arises.”

Galliard tossed and caught the apple again, raising an eyebrow and retorted, “Destiny is not predetermined, so may I ask you, before deciding your own fate when faced with countless choices, do all those myriad futures and rivulets of the River of Time truly not exist? If they don’t exist, then where do the choices come from?”

Leon pondered deeply, then said in surprise, “But you said, ‘parallel worlds’ don’t exist. If every potential future world exists before a decision is made, isn’t this a parallel world?”

“It’s not parallel, as I said, this is the future that has yet to be determined by all living things, perhaps even cast aside by the collisions of countless choices of living souls, a future that could have been but isn’t likely to happen anymore, one of the uncertain possibilities, not the parallel direction you mentioned, at least that’s how it is for most people.” The minstrel’s voice floated in the room softly as if reciting poetry.

In a momentary illusion, Leon saw a deep vertical shadow in the minstrel’s eyes.

“I still don’t understand the past… what kind of action must be taken to possibly change all the more distant ‘past’ of the entire world’s future?” Leon scratched his head for the minstrel’s explanation.

Yet Galliard pursed his lips, “If you delve deeply, either in the future you might greatly impact the River of Time, or the root cause of this result doesn’t rest with you… who knows, after all, I’m just a humble minstrel, not an all-knowing sage,”

A humble minstrel…? Leon thought with deep suspicion, raising his hand in a bit of a headache, “Alright, let’s assume what you say is true, this is the destiny not yet decided by the choices of all beings, so all living things haven’t decided to put on that ‘blue garment’ nor decided to wear it, right?”

Seeing the minstrel nod, Leon immediately asked the most crucial question with a solemn expression, “Can Ines and I return everything to the state where the world was still wearing the ‘red garment’?”

Galliard nodded noncommittally, finally finishing the apple, placing the core vertically back on the plate, “Before destiny is determined, extracting and anchoring the still-forming fate from the ‘Dream of the Great Group’ from countless unstable possibilities, I suppose it cannot be achieved through the power of you two.

And such a large-scale and impactful Great Magic could only have been possible by the Ancient Mages who had ambitions higher than the heavens.”

“Lorelettian?” Leon heard this and was elated, “We did happen to start the ancient magic secret ceremony in the Oran Palace due to an accident and fell into this current situation. If the magic in that palace is restarted, can everything return to its original state?”

Galliard shook his head, “The palace of Oran, I have been there before, recently heard that the Sun Holy Sword appeared, went there again.

I can confirm that the powerful treasure sword is the ‘Anchor Source’ driving all these changes, but found no trace of Great Magic capable of this level of impact. Even according to your words, if it existed, that Magic Ceremony is likely forever upstream in the River of Time for everyone now… and an unreachable upstream.”

“However, that’s not the crucial issue, the crucial issue is, to anchor the world before causality is determined, aside from a stable energy source, the magic must have a subjective chooser from the countless potential branches of ‘Dream of the Great Group’ to stabilize the rivulet of the ‘River of Time’.

Otherwise, it will be engulfed by the chaos woven from all the undecided fates of the Great Group, making nothing form in the end. For years, the Emperor of Athias and I have been searching for the person who could anchor the world…”

“By finding the so-called anchor person, can everything be restored?” Leon asked.

Galliard laughed, “Possibly… honestly, I don’t like wearing blue clothes, that annoying color always reminds me of some unfavorable fellows…”

“?”

“Don’t mind it, just a sentiment,” Galliard waved his hand.

“So, have you found this anchor person?” Leon, curious as to how the other had connections with the Emperor of the Athias Empire, still clung to the main issue and pressed on.

The minstrel nodded easily, “Just found it.”

Leon was briefly surprised but quickly realized it.

Wasn’t it he himself who activated the magic in the palace that night? Who else could it be?

“Is the anchor person me?” Leon pointed to himself.

But the minstrel shook his head slightly, “You’re indeed very… interesting, Lord Pendragon, but subconsciously stabilizing the current vein from the fate of all things in the Dream of the Great Group… it’s not you.”

Leon was taken aback, immediately realizing whom the minstrel referred to and was left speechless.

“The choice of the anchor person, combined with the anchor source as the key, might be able to correct everything, but whether it will succeed, I do not know either.”

Galliard stood up, doffing his hat in a bow, “This is all I can say, Lord Pendragon, the choice is yours, to give it a try or simply continue with this chosen fate.”

He adjusted his feathered hat and turned away, “After all, I’m still quite young and have found such an interesting calling, since my journey home is far from over, there’s no hurry to embark on a new path… even accompanying the unborn God to fulfill the end of His ‘Dream of the Great Group’ would be no problem.”

“Wait.” Leon tried to get up to stop him, as there were many questions still unanswered in his mind.

If what the other said is true, then why is Ines here from three years later but not himself from three years later?

Who exactly is Galliard? Why does he repeatedly offer help…

Dream of the Great Group, that concept in Lorelette Magic, reflects the movement of all things in the torrents of the River of Time, but what does the unborn God mean?

However, as he lifted the blanket, Leon realized without a blink that the minstrel’s silhouette was already lost from his view.

Getting up, he quickly walked to the balcony, peering around.

The Northern township, shrouded in moonlight, showed no trace of Galliard’s visit.

Turning back.

Leon looked inside, where Ines, who had been silently listening to everything just now, was now propping herself up on the bed.

He knew she had been awake for a while.

And regardless of whether Galliard’s account was the truth, he was very clear about what the man said just before leaving.

Remembering the desperate move that night when he pushed Ines into the inner circle of the Magic Ceremony.

This so-called person anchoring the fate of the world from the Dream of the Great Group, if it’s not him, then surely there is no other candidate.

Except for the Sun Holy Sword, now still in the Big Lion’s hands… now, indeed, half of the choice lies in his hands.

…The right to decide the fate direction of all on this land?

Facing Ines’s gaze, Leon couldn’t help but recall the dream-like yet genuine shared memories over the years.

The emotions surging within him, along with the sudden weight of bearing countless people’s fates, left him speechless.

The past or the present…
