Chapter 670: Chapter 312 Chaos Calmed_2

This is not any decent mature magic technique, just the most effective magic means currently conceivable for causing permanent physical damage.

The mage pressed his thumbs together to carve out the most basic magic technique using the mutual form seal, instantly aligning all the “rock spears” locked on the opponent.

He gazed at the approaching… female guard with her figure dashing like the wind while wielding her sword?

——Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom!!

A gust of rock spear vortex filled the sky, breaking through the air as they were hurled out.

Before the dense rain of rock spears arrived, Olivia’s eyes, as if foresight, saw all the trajectories and impact points of dozens of attacks without any magical guidance effect, making it easier to judge compared to the previously magical crossbow arrow which had a blossom-like trajectory.

The girl’s sprinting steps turned her posture into a streak of lightning, darting through groups of spear rain trying to block her steps.

Her body slipped through the gaps in the trajectories, slashing the black sword to shatter any rock spear predicted to be unavoidable in its path.

Closing in a few yards away, the Golden Lion Knight stepped in close, with a crisp and icy shout, the black blade in hand wrapped with an intimidating sword whistle to strike head-on.

The mage intended to make his last resistance, but suddenly felt a pain in his kidney, his body stumbled forward, only feeling a sharp cone piercing his body. He was then lifted high and slammed down heavily.

Baron Kellan, with cold and sinister eyes behind the face armor, without any knight spirit, used the cone spike head of his long-handled axe to backstab the mage’s lower back.

Facing the threatening spellcaster who dabbles with witchcraft, the Great Knight never speaks of combat methods; he swung his battle axe to toss the unexpectedly resilient mage’s body directly toward the powerful female knight, belonging to an unknown family, ahead.

Running Olivia unsurprisingly swung the black sword, with a flash of cold light, the Victory Sword split the bouncing mage’s body before her in two from the ground.

After efficiently cutting the enemy in half, the girl’s figure passed through before the innards and blood sprayed from its cross-section and halted her steps.

Looking back, she surprisingly found that the enemy she had cut in half was not completely dead yet. The wretched looking figure still moved his hands to draw a dharma seal, trying to save his rapidly draining life force.

In a few steps, Baron Kellan crossed over Olivia, holding the battle axe aloft, ready to finely chop the exceptionally durable foreign mage into meat paste in the next moment.

“Kellan! Don’t kill him!”

A commanding voice came from above, far away.

The battlefield’s clamor almost made the voice unnoticeable, but the Great Knight wasn’t an ordinary person; he could hear the command and distinguish who it came from.

Kellan’s iron boot stomped on the face, releasing the force as he lowered the battle axe, clanging as its blade pressed slantwise on the neck of the half-bodied wizard like a guillotine, slashing him if any movement was seen apart from healing and self-saving.

Olivia looked up, seeing the silhouette of a crimson dragon beating its wings, diving down upon the dawn-approaching sky.

Riding the dragon across the battlefield within the city, Lydwen III, dressed in armor, stood behind his eldest son, gripping the high saddle handle on the dragon’s back, overseeing the chaos below…..

…..

Steadying the racing horse amidst the earthquake caused by distant battlefield magic, Leon used the wind hammer of Garner to disperse the incoming fatal spells in front.

As he passed by on the Black Steed, he swung around the magic spear wing blade, picking up and slaying a low-level spellcaster by splitting them open.

Following Leon’s silhouette, the brave Avalon Knights in the fierce state amplified by the Netti Card, thundered with iron hooves into the chaotic battle formation disrupted by Canis.

Spears like a forest, swords rising and falling, the Heavy Armor Knights were reaping the lives of the witches who couldn’t cast spells in time.

With the disturbances greatly reduced, Marcus broke free from the endless magic restraint, wielding his heavy halberd to slay the previously troublesome black-clad sword dancers one by one in just a few rounds.

A sharp eagle cry came from above as Leon looked up amidst the slaughter, seeing familiar giant wings rolling through the clouds, rapidly approaching.

Not only did he see that Death Claw had arrived,

He also saw the colossal dragon silhouette symbolizing the Royal Family and the myriad flying Pegasus diving down, landing in another street block.

The thunderous crash and tremor of the landing Flying Dragon could be felt even on the high-ground street where he stood.

Since Crown Prince Eric, who should have been guarding the Royal Palace with the King, took the initiative to lead the Dusk Blood Guards riding the Mount Dragon over, it undoubtedly cemented the victory.

But suddenly, a thought flashed through Leon’s mind.

He feared that Lydwen III also recklessly ventured on-site amidst the turmoil, so he quickly turned his horse, entrusting Kovis to continue commanding the Avalon Knights to clean up the aftermath, and galloped forward.

In the street district utterly wrecked by Mage Athias, Leon searched for the traces of Olivia and others within the terrain completely altered by magic.

Dismounting in front of the fixed tidal-like high rock layers, Leon lifted the magic wand to smash through the blocking rocks and clambered over the obstacle through the crack.

He saw the reorganizing troops and Lokhak behind the collapsed building ruins by the street, along with Olivia, who leapt over the ruins with several battle damages.

Leon grabbed Garner and ran over, quickly wiping off the blood on the girl’s face with a cloth from his belt pouch upon seeing the severely damaged armor on his little lion and the scratches leaking blood.

Olivia smiled faintly and shook her head: “It’s just some superficial wounds on the ribs and legs, resting a few days will be fine….”

Leon nodded helplessly. In general, such scratches, for a common person, would only require himself or Kovis a moment to cast healing spells.

However, the magic-interfering power on Olivia’s body doesn’t discriminate against friend or foe; it interferes with any magical technique regardless of enemy or ally, thus having no effect, leaving only the girl’s self-healing power to recover.

Olivia waved her hand, indicating no serious issue, and continued, “Enough about this, Leon, we’ve captured that dangerous Mage Athias alive, Baron Kellan is watching him, and the situation on the outskirts is already controlled by the Royal Palace’s Pegasus Guards, only a few enemies are fleeing.”

“You captured that mage alive?” Leon raised a brow, a bit surprised, though not overly so.

With his little lion’s strength against spellcasters especially effective, and alongside Baron Kellan, the Great Knight of Orland, it was reasonable for them to capture that mage.

However, the girl hesitated next, shaking the helmet with only half its visor remaining, worriedly and cautiously saying: “Leon, that… Lydwen also came.”

She pointed back at the Flying Dragon that just ascended again, seemingly pursuing the fleeing enemy, “He came riding his eldest son’s dragon.”

Hearing this, Leon’s face tightened, somewhat annoyed internally. This old man wasn’t staying idle in the Royal Palace like a sitting duck at a fishing station with dragons missing, and yet he charged into the uprising scene, wasn’t he afraid of getting himself killed?

Having witnessed the power of the siege crossbow, Leon already had some guesses about what these Athiasians originally planned to target.

He shook off the thoughts, turning to worry about another more severe problem: “Did Lydwen recognize you?”

Olivia tightened her grip on the sword hilt, shaking her head with some worry: “I should not have exposed my identity. I kept my face covered with the visor towards Lydwen all the time and kept my head low.

But they noticed my martial arts and recognized the emblem on my armor. Lydwen knows I am your wife…. He said he wants to reward us and the Avalon troops, explicitly naming me to go to the Royal Palace for a title conferment and reward with you. What should I do? Leon, if I go into the Royal Palace, wouldn’t I have to face Lydwen without the helmet all the time? What if….”

Leon raised his hand to soothe Olivia’s worries, calmly said: “Don’t panic, right, your face has injuries, I can wrap them more with large bandages later, people can’t possibly ask you to tear off the bandages. But, it’s better not to go if we can help it, let me think of an excuse and reasoning to help you avoid it….”
