Chapter 541 - 541 258 Magic Furnace_2

541: Chapter 258 Magic Furnace_2 541: Chapter 258 Magic Furnace_2 “Immortal Ecas.”

“Soul Lady Isa.”

“Mystery Arias.”

“Creator Helmond.”

“And…”

Ascending to the second floor, Lola turned her head to look at Leon.

“And me…

Flame Sun Illaril.”

After speaking, she continued to walk toward the upper levels.

“We built Lorelette together and ruled over Lorelette together…

until Ecas, Isa, and Arias chose to embrace the power of the Spirit Realm.

But even then, at least Master Helmond stood by our side.”

“So, the Dusk Knight was the Pope Helmond’s guard?” Leon understood Lola’s meaning: “What you mentioned before, that Gervin was demoted by you because he failed to protect his Lord, does that mean the ‘Creator’ has already…?”

The white-haired girl’s silent figure nodded.

“Master Helmond has long since sacrificed himself, for everything we once swore to protect.

First it was him, then… me.

Those who left have gone, and those who withered have withered.

The end of the Lorelette era is irreversible.”

The two finally arrived at the upper-level mage workshop.

Stopping at the entrance, Lola turned around without saying more, giving Leon an understanding smile: “Let the past stay in the past.

You’ve come to see me, not to hear old stories.

The materials for crafting the new Netti Cards have already been prepared for you.”

Leon snapped out of the nostalgic tale from his little mentor but quickly asked, “Wait, there’s something else.

I brought back three Horror Mountain Bear cubs that haven’t weaned yet.

Do you have any way I can tame them?”

“Horror Mountain Bears?”

Lola thought for a moment and regretfully shook her head at Leon.

“If you’re trying to use ordinary means to make them obedient like mounts, I’m afraid it won’t work.

Compared to war beasts suitable for humans, they’re not only less intelligent but inherently too savage.

I do have a way to erase their deeper consciousness, establish an awareness link, and forcibly enslave their souls.

But with your current magical abilities, you wouldn’t be able to grasp such a complex spell.

However, since you said these are cubs that haven’t weaned yet, then as long as you learn this spell before they grow into adulthood and become uncontrollable, it will be fine.

Hmm… I’ll give you guidance for studying the spell; ten years should be sufficient given your ‘talent.'”

“Erase consciousness… enslave…” Leon grimaced.

It turned out that his sweet and kind little teacher also knew such ruthless and sinister magics.

Lola entered the mage workshop, raising her hand to point at the items in the room and beckoned, “Alright, don’t just stand there.

Come over, and this time I’ll guide you in crafting a Netti Card by yourself.”

Leon followed her gaze, only to notice a large magical device now occupying the workshop.

The object was entirely black, made of an unknown material that appeared more like stone than metal.

Its base extended into a short, thick cylindrical container sealed with a lid on top, with a small flap window in front.

Complex demon runes densely covered its surface, and there was a handle embedded halfway up its body.

Surrounding the apparatus stood five pillars, each inscribed with Ancient Lorelette Runes.

Leon recognized them, seemingly corresponding to the atmospheric element, hot element, water element, earth element, and magic element—the five basic elements of Elemental Studies.

“What is this for?”

Leon curiously approached, examining the highly intricate device.

“This is a Magic Furnace designed for you to craft Netti Cards.

While you were away at war, I enlisted the help of dwarven technicians to create it.

The final critical component was completed just recently, and I personally assembled it a few days ago.”

Lola flipped a switch, and the furnace buzzed, its runes ignited instantly by magic power.

“The Black Obscure Stone structure has a highly stable inert reaction to magic, capable of enduring extreme high and low temperatures.

But remember, once the activation sequence begins, you cannot break the seal until it’s finished.

You can use the surrounding pillars to control and adjust elemental variables, guiding elemental generation.

I’ve linked the entire machine to the Mage Tower; the Earth Spiritual Veins beneath the tower will supply it with magic power.

The magical casting molds for the Netti Cards are made from the trunks of Angola Trees aged over a thousand years.

These trees are plentiful in the surrounding forests, though each mold can only bear a single imprint.

After each use, a new mold must be replaced.”

While speaking, she stood before the furnace, pointing to the magic array extending from its base: “Stand here and connect your magic power to the machine.

Even an apprentice-level spellcaster could operate it easily.”

Leon memorized his mentor’s instructions before looking at the materials laid across a nearby table.

Aside from common auxiliary materials, the most striking were those housed within a delicate treasure box—a piece of Moonfall Secret Silver.

However, one end of the silver ingot seemed to have been cut off, likely used for repairing the “Galron” card.

Next to the Moonfall Silver sent from the Capital was the dazzling Melted Mountain Gold, finely selected pure Spirit Vein Ore, and a half-transparent glass jar containing a chunk of Eternal Freeze Ice Crystal.

“The handle on the right—pulling the first lever initiates the process for crafting black Netti Cards, while the second lever starts the process for silver Netti Cards.

After opening the material compartment, everything is etched with the corresponding names.

Make sure you don’t mix them up,” Lola began teaching him how to use it.

Leon wasted no time and immediately pushed the first lever down.

Watching as the material compartment tilted open, he began placing various ingredients from the table into it.

Next, standing at the control position Lola indicated, Leon summoned a small amount of magic power and established a connection with the magic array beneath his feet.

Following his mentor’s instructions step by step:

Step one, seal the inner chamber of the furnace and activate the hot element pillar, utilizing high temperatures to melt the Melted Mountain Gold…

Step two, guide the liquefied Melted Mountain Gold into the Eternal Freeze Ice chamber, enveloping the ice gold…

Step three, increase the atmospheric element and bombard the unique substance structure of the Eternal Freeze Ice Crystal, causing it to liquefy under the Melted Mountain Gold’s coating.

During this phase, the Melted Mountain Gold will prevent energy from the destabilized ice crystal from dispersing…

Step four, add finely crushed Spirit Vein Ore powder and inject liquefied Moonfall Secret Silver…

Step five, adjust and balance fluctuations among the five elements within the furnace, prompting the materials to merge under continuous elemental reactions…

Step six, guide the simultaneously unstable gaseous and liquid mixed substance into the thousand-year wood-carved ritual mold, imprinting Lady Netti’s Great Magic Spell Formation…

Final step, Leon focused intently, tracing the Dharma Seal and chanting the powerful curse to finalize the Netti Card contract…

Magic power surged from the Earth Veins beneath, flowing continuously through the rune pathways on the ground into the furnace.

The intricate runes lining the walls of the workshop began lighting up, one by one.

They tightly contained the rampant energy attempting to escape in chaotic flux.

As the process concluded, the furnace’s front flap window opened.

The dazzling light within slowly faded.

From the shattered thousand-year wood mold, a brand-new black Netti Card emerged before them.

Lola stepped forward, picked up the freshly forged empty card, and after checking it over, nodded to Leon with a satisfied smile.

“Well done.”

Leon, who had been holding his breath and fearing any misstep, finally exhaled in relief, severing his connection to the Magic Furnace.

He stepped up to receive the black empty card.

Energy intricate and mysterious flowed within it, and the sense of accomplishment from personally crafting a magical artifact filled Leon’s heart.

Yet, as Leon raised his gaze, a hint of confusion lingered… Now with materials for even a single card being so hard to acquire—and besides, it wasn’t as if Lola was producing cards in overwhelming quantities—why design this tool specifically for him to use?

Before he could voice his thoughts, Lola asked, “Have you decided how you want to use this card?”

Her question caused Leon to contemplate deeply.

Should he keep it as a resurrection coin for a crucial ally or use it now?

If he chose to use it, then how?

Engrave a spell on it, turning it into a legitimate Magic Card?

Or summon a new Heroic Spirit Martial Soul?
