“You want to return quickly to help Ron?”

The boy nodded fervently like a woodpecker.

Having lived under the kindness of this benevolent Lord for more than two months now, in this castle as magnificent as the dwelling of gods, he could eat to his heart’s content every day, wear clean and brand-new clothes, sleep in a warm bed, be taught by kind teachers, and share laughter with delightful classmates and companions.

But the more comfortably he lived, the more he worried about the chieftain uncle far away.

Leon, however, had learned some updates about Yevan and the others from the letters he had received, so he comforted him: “Don’t worry, Ron has already been knighted under Baron Yevan.

He is now in Baldim County, which is relatively safe as it has a large army stationed there.”

As he spoke, he crouched down, smiling as he ruffled Brandon’s hair, deciding to set a small goal for the boy to prevent him from overthinking.

“I plan to lead troops to support them soon.

As for you, stay here and study hard.

If you can master the Magic Lantern and keep it lit for half an hour without it extinguishing, I’ll permit you to return to Kantadar to help Ron.

How about that?”

Upon hearing this, Brandon felt a surge of motivation in his heart and nodded earnestly in agreement.

Seeing Leon stand up and prepare to leave, he quickly called out, “Mr.

Leon, wait a moment.”

“What is it?”

“I… I think I had another dream recently, and I dreamed about you.” Brandon admitted honestly.

Since coming to live in Avalon Castle, he hadn’t dreamed in a long time.

“About me?

What did you see in the dream?”

Leon stopped in his tracks, intrigued.

Knowing about the boy’s talent as a Prophet, Leon had indeed instructed him before to report any nightmares to him immediately.

“I can’t remember the details clearly.

It seemed like a large hall… I saw a lot of people cheering, and I saw you too… but you looked so sad.” Brandon tried hard to recall the hazy dream.

Leon frowned at such a vague description and had no choice but to press further with more questions.

Unfortunately, the dream, already shrouded in ambiguity, was hard to remember, and the boy could provide no additional details.

Leon shook his head helplessly and did not dwell too much on it.

This child was indeed a Prophet, but not a true Seer.

He could only receive fragments of information about the workings of the world and occasionally catch glimpses of fragmented, chaotic predictions through dreams.

It was far from accurate.

After all, the boy had once dreamed that Leon would kill Ron, but in reality, the outcome was entirely the opposite.

Leon chose not to be preoccupied with this.

Rather than overthinking based on a blurred prediction, he figured he might as well consult Lola’s opinion.

Him being very sad?

Leon speculated that what Brandon had likely foreseen was certain companions at his side meeting an unfortunate fate on the battlefield.

But war is merciless; unless one fully withdraws from combat, how could one possibly avoid danger?

All he could do was to remain vigilant, protect his comrades as best as he could, and prevent such possibilities from becoming reality.

Leaving Avalon Academy, Leon initially intended to seek out Lola, but he was intercepted midway by Olivia, who appeared in haste.

“Leon, a distant envoy is here and wishes to meet you.”

“An envoy?

From where?”

“The envoy is from the King’s Domain.

He claims to be acting under orders from Marquis Deyatuk and is here to inquire whether Avalon had invited a knightly contingent from Dinexion to cross the border.

They are currently being detained at the border of the King’s Domain by the Marquis.” Olivia explained.

“A knightly contingent from Dinexion?… Could he mean the Ranger Knights from the Holy Court Kingdom?” Leon froze in thought.

Why would those Rangers who were rushing to aid them end up detained by the Border Marquis?

Ranger Knights wandering across lands was nothing unusual—could they have had some misunderstanding with the Lord while passing through Deyatuk County?
