Knights and Magic Wand
Chapter 114 - 114 77 Scapegoat_2

114: Chapter 77 Scapegoat_2 114: Chapter 77 Scapegoat_2 Listening to Kovis’s words, most of the Atiyas mages in the embassy had headed to the Eastern regions and were currently entering Seryan territory along with the large armies of the Kantadar people.

Those few Atiyas mages who hadn’t gone to Seryan were scattered around, executing the tasks they had come so far to accomplish.

The guards on the night shift outside the door dared not step foot into the embassy

At this moment, no one here would disturb Leon’s actions.

Thinking about how these Atiyas people might have even helped the Kantadar people in their conquest of Rolannar…

Leon felt he had found an opportunity to avenge both the fresh and old hatred for the original owner of this body…

The moment of brief waiting finally arrived, he only heard behind the door:

——Thud!

Bang!

Bang!

A light and then heavy urgent knocking.

Now was the time!

The fleeting opportunity allowed no hesitation.

The magic elements within him boiled up with an intensity greater than the last time.

Almost no different from the force used in his initial release.

Power gathered at his fingertips in a split second, a dazzling Light Arrow took shape, spiraling light into form.

竜が,我が敌を喰ら——!!

With a sense of ritual and cryptic self-shout in his mind, Leon flicked his sword finger, and a Light Arrow pierced through the air.

——Boom!

The air exploded, the candle flames in the hallway extinguished by the roaring blast.

The trailing brilliant tail light instantly penetrated the wooden door of the bedroom.

The spiraling trajectory shattered the wooden structure of the door, thunderingly tearing apart everything in its path.

In just an instant, Leon caught a glimpse of Pilireno’s last look of astonishment through the cracks of the disintegrating wooden door.

As well as the light shield on his body surface that had not had time to form.

The moment the Light Arrow touched his skin, there was the sound of glass shattering under too much strain.

Then flesh burst forth.

The rotating immense force drilled into Pilireno’s face, tilting his head back, the magic power crushed flesh and bone, sending the man’s skull flying off.

Blood and brain matter suddenly splattered.

The Light Arrow with force to spare blasted through the target’s skull, plowing straight into the thick stone wall opposite the room amidst the explosion.

The spattered blood nearly painted red the faces of the two beside it.

The blond youth was in a daze as he stared at the decapitated corpse, emotions in his heart indescribable.

…He’d succeeded, the powerful mage who had imprisoned him for so many years…

had simply died so abruptly….

Kovis turned his head to look at the stone wall penetrated by the Light Spear.

However, he hadn’t expected that the projective magic Leon had described before would be so devastatingly powerful.

The Light Spear, having completely pierced the wall, only disappeared from the air with the wind as it reached halfway into the courtyard.

Pilireno’s raised right hand, which had abruptly revealed a golden Magic Wand, had not had the chance to be of use, and the body with most of its head blown off fell thunderously.

Outside the door, Leon felt that familiar sensation of weakness coming on.

His vision darkened, his legs went soft, and he nearly fell to the ground almost simultaneously with Pilireno’s body.

“…Leon!!”

He heard his companion’s urgent call, but he could not muster the strength to respond.

He realized that he felt as weak as the first time he tried releasing the Light Arrow.

Had Miss Lora increased the output power for him?

He was about to faint again.

He hoped Azeryan and Kovis could carry him.

Leon’s consciousness blurred until…

A sense of surging strength slowly flowed from his wrist through his entire body.

Suddenly revitalized, he opened his eyes, which he had nearly closed.

Struggling in surprise, he raised his head.

He saw the blond youth, his face and hair smeared with Pilireno’s blood and brain bits, squatting in front of him.

The youth had one hand touching the faintly visible Demon Rune on his forehead, the other grasping his wrist.

The warm power was transferring from Kovis’s hand into his body.

Leon also noticed that the red Demon Rune on the blond youth’s neck had faded to almost invisible and seemed to be gradually disappearing.

He wondered if the Magic Curse on Miss Elena’s neck was similarly dissipating.

“…Just trying it out, it seems you can handle Chaos Magic too.

How about it?

Can you stand up?” the blond youth smiled with relief, but his blood-stained face made his smile unsettling.

“Uh, much better.”

Feeling his strength returning, Leon gripped the other’s wrist in return, pushing himself to his feet with the help.

It was more than just better, his body felt much lighter now.

“Quite a guy, you can recharge people too?” Leon swung his arms, feeling like he could even have Miss Lora give him another go.

“After all, I was a Magic Slave cultivated by Pilireno for so many years.

Supplying him with magic power in emergencies is my most basic function,” said Kovis, dispelling the Demon Rune from his forehead, nodding with gratitude: “Not all spellcasters can draw strength from the Spirit Realm, thankfully you can withstand it.”

Seeing his companion recover, Azeryan could finally ease his mind.

He grabbed the cloak he had taken off before, wiped the blood from his face, and couldn’t help but urge the two to move on: “Let’s go, quickly.”

“I still have something to do; you take Elena and the other women, now freed from their shackles, to wait for me by the city walls.”

“Okay.” Azeryan looked down at his embarrassing attire, with no time to change clothes, he wrapped himself again in his cloak, and left hastily, moving downstairs to find Elena and the other women slaves now liberated.

Kovis turned to pick up a chair on one side.

Moving his fingers in casting a spell, he pulled off one of the chair legs with raw magic power.

Raising his hand, the youth turned the sharp, split end of the wooden leg around and then approached Pilireno’s body.
