Kissing Hellfire: Marry Me, Evil Lord
Chapter 83: Will you take me?

Chapter 83: Will you take me?

"Doing everything to serve me?" Lauren echoed his words with a bewildered expression. "Don’t make it sound like you don’t like the power you are acquiring from our arrangement, Everston. You said it yourself that you want the throne now, so I suggest you use proper words and don’t make it sound like you are doing me a favor when clearly, both of us are benefitting from this."

Alec smirked, bemused. "You took my words too seriously, Lauren. We are now a step ahead with our plans. This calls for a celebration."

He snapped and his portal appeared between them.

"What is this?"

"My portal."

"I mean where are we going?"

"Somewhere nice. We need to celebrate."

Her brow raised. "And what kind of celebration is that?" His mind worked differently so she wouldn’t be surprised if the celebration he meant was torturing someone to death, or perhaps taking a stroll in the dark parts of the kingdom to hunt black mages.

"It’s for you to discover," he said with a wicked glint in his eyes as he gestured for her to go first.

Lauren took a breath before she stepped into the portal.

She thought she would be teleported into a dark haunted forest or a dirty dungeon, but when she saw where she was, her mouth fell agape.

She found herself on the deck of a huge ship in the middle of the calm ocean with the stars all over the horizon, and the starry sky reflected on the ocean’s surface.

It was beyond majestic.

When she felt Alec’s presence, she turned to him.

"Where is this place?"

Looking at Lauren’s eyes glimmering with awe, the corners of Alec’s lips tugged up.

"Somewhere in the middle of the ocean, I guess."

"Are there other people on the ship?"

Walking toward the bow of the ship, he answered, "No."

"Then how did this ship get here?" Lauren was confused.

"This is just always here. This ship is part of the western ocean, it serves as a shed for people who wants to escape the land, for wanderers who lost their way. I don’t know the origin of this or what kind of spell is binding the whole ship because it was never stated in the history books, nor many know about its existence, but I have been here countless times and so far, nothing strange happened yet."

She was surprised. She never heard about a spellbound ship in the middle of an ocean that only stayed wherever it was. It was strangely beautiful.

Lauren stood beside Alec. Her hair with hairpins at the sides flowing down her back danced when the breeze came. She didn’t feel cold though. For some reason, something in the ship was allowing its visitors to feel their own kind of comfort.

"How did you discover this?"

"I don’t know. My portal brought me here three years ago. I can’t use my portal if I don’t have an exact destination in mind, and I wanted to be at Hollow island at that time which is just around here. Perhaps this spellbound ship pulled my portal’s energy and it brought me here."

To be in a place where the starry sky and the ocean appeared to be one, for Lauren, it was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. The most brilliant things in the land paled in comparison to this.

While she was staring at the majestic scenery, Alec went behind her.

She held her breath for a moment when she felt his fingers play with the locks of her hair while his one hand was gripping the rail of the deck from her side.

"Want to hear a wild truth?"

Her grip on the rail tightened when she felt his fingers playing with the ribbon of her dress now.

She swallowed the burning lump in her throat.

"I want to undress you and take you right here and now."

His cold husky voice saying those words echoed in her mind, making her shiver.

She knew Alec was a man who could arouse any woman’s desires. Although her first time with him turned out to be a disaster, she would be lying if she would say that she never once thought about being taken by him after that night. The thought visited her on some nights, arousing something buried deep within her that she never knew existed.

"But my impatience won’t allow me to. I can’t just pounce on this fragile body of yours without restraint and I never liked restraining myself," he said, his fingers tracing her waist provocatively as though he was drawing invisible lines.

"I know I can just fuck other women, but the thing is... it is you who I want to devour," he whispered to her ear, making her heart leap. "And devils don’t care if they consume innocent souls as long as their hunger is satisfied. Unfortunately for you, I am one of those devils."

"Will you do it then? Will you... take me?" she croaked, her voice shaking a bit.

"Why does it sound more like a plea for me to take you than a plea to spare you?" He smirked, inching closer to her until she could feel her back on his chest.

"I am a predator who would gobble you up until you are left with nothing, sweet Lauren. You should be begging for your life at this moment."

"O-of course I am not begging for you to take me!" she blurted out abruptly, getting more flustered by the second. "Why would I? You don’t know how embarrassed I was when you left me in bed on my first time. If I would want to gain experience, I would choose to be taken by-"

"Taken by who?" he cut her off darkly, and she sensed the threat in his tone.

Still, she answered in a small voice. "By another man... perhaps someone who is patient enough to guide an inexperienced woman like me."

There was silence for a moment, like the calm before the storm.

Then he spoke.

"Doing that is like inviting me to kill someone, dear wife. You don’t need worry though, I think can spare you some patience if you’d be a good girl."
