Chapter 967: Chapter 955: Not Killing a Few Evil Gods, How Can You Go Home With Your Head Held High? Chapter 967: Chapter 955: Not Killing a Few Evil Gods, How Can You Go Home With Your Head Held High? “I’m back!”
Above the Erathia World, on the Hall of Transcendence, a spectacular pyramid-shaped structure at the pinnacle of which ripples appeared. A massive Gate of the Void took shape, and then a towering figure emerged, gazing down at the world below, so vast that one couldn’t see its edges, and heaved a sigh.
“Having been away for so long, I wonder if Michaela has successfully reached the Legendary Peak, whether she has entered the Void. My three dear daughters, calculating the time, should all be of age by now!”
Gazing upon his Mother World, Muria, who had successfully ascended and returned, found his thoughts scattering. However, Muria seemed to realize he might have neglected something,
“Oh, and Aeolus, I wonder how that lad is handling my Empire, whether he’s given me any grandchildren. If he hasn’t, I’ll need to give him a push!”
“Enough of that, let’s not think too much for now! I should go down and check the situation first!” With a nature completely transformed and now equal to Deities, Muria, brimming with confidence, prepared to enter Erathia World.
But just as Muria was about to step into Erathia World, a Double-edged battle-axe smeared with over a dozen colors of different blood and swirling with a fierce killing aura abruptly appeared, cutting through the Void and striking directly at Muria.
Clang!
Upon seeing this familiar Battle Axe, Muria was stunned, but his body instinctively reacted. His hands shot forward, positioned in front, and blocked the strike of the axe.
After a sonorous and melodious metallic tremor, Muria’s massive frame was sent flying, crashing into the Hall of Transcendence right behind him.
The Titan Body, having ascended to the status of an Epic Body of Myriad Spirits, slammed onto the hard Metal Continent. The impact created a bottomless humanoid hole, and the superalloy inscribed with Runes, when faced with Muria’s body, was no different than tofu, shattering upon contact.
“Grandfather!”
Just returned and ready to go home, Muria, somewhat dazed, flew out of the metallic hole he had created, then eyed the battle-axe swirling with killing intent.
“Too weak!” Beside the axe, a faint humanoid shadow appeared, then from nothingness to existence, gradually solidifying. It was none other than Muria’s grandfather, the Barbaric Overlord Akmonde.
“I’ve just ascended!” Hearing his grandfather’s words, Muria, whose mood had still been somewhat joyous from his recent ascension, responded with an embarrassed laugh. He could tell that the figure before him was simply an avatar of power. It was this strike from his grandfather’s avatar that had sent him flying without any possibility of resisting.
“Too weak!” Upon hearing Muria’s words, the Barbaric Overlord simply responded with the same phrase.
“…” Muria flexed his palm and remained silent. He had nothing to say; he had just been brought down a notch by his own grandfather right after his ascension.
“If this is all you can muster, then don’t even think of entering the world. You are far too weak!”
Even without Muria’s response, his grandfather Akmonde did not let up, “With your current strength returning to the world, the Laws you trigger will be pitifully weak!”
“Is that why you are stopping me from going home, grandfather?” Muria’s expression became subtle; he knew that every newly ascended Epic was warmly welcomed by the world and then faced with a choice.
“Before you, every returning Epic Titan caused profound changes in the World Rules. The birth of each Epic Titan is known across the world!”
Akmonde looked at Muria with an indifferent gaze, “I do not wish for this tradition of the Titan Tribe to be broken by you, by my grandson.”
“I understand!” Muria nodded somewhat reluctantly; he had grasped the meaning behind his grandfather’s words.
Quite simply, before the Titan Tribe obtained the Sky Demon Secret Art, each Titan who ventured into the Void and then returned would shake the entire Erathia World upon re-entry due to their immense power.
Every Epic Titan was capable of astounding the world, but now, Muria, relying on the Sky Demon Secret Art to become an Epic, had merely stepped over the threshold between Epic and Legend.
Such strength was nothing compared to his ancestors. Returning to the world in this state would indeed trigger changes in the World Rules, but only on a minuscule scale.
Therefore, the meaning behind Muria’s grandfather’s words was clear: You are too damn weak right now, not fit to come home and show off! Or it could also be interpreted as: You dare to come home like this? You’re not embarrassed, but I am. Get lost!
“But, grandfather, I would like to see my partner and daughters. Can you help me contact them?”
Muria asked cautiously, alright then, if returning home was embarrassing, he wouldn’t go. He’d have his wife and daughters come up to him; surely that would be okay!
“What’s there to contact? You should continue your journey. Once you have accumulated enough source power, prepare to find those Evil Gods wandering the Void! Once you’ve killed about ten or so Evil Gods, then you can think about seeing your wife and daughters!”
The lord of the wilderness, Akmonde, did not hesitate to reject his grandson’s request. He felt that his grandson was being too sentimental. It had not been that long since he left, and he was already missing his wife and child. What kind of talk was that?
Look at those who went to the Void before and became Epic Titans. Nearly each of them endured thousands of years of loneliness on their own.
“Akmonde, times have changed. Now, our three tribes have acquired new Source Power Secret Techniques! Some things can be changed! It’s not too much for Muria to want to see his wife and daughters!”
Just then, a voice in support of Muria rang out. Next to Muria, a Giant Dragon appeared, its serpentine and elongated body trailing a dazzling golden light.
“Just let the couple see each other. They’re still young, not weathered old folks like us!”
Afterward, a refined voice with a hint of magnetism rose. Then, a deity with twelve wings of light unfolded behind him appeared—Michaela’s grandfather, Arudiba!
“After the visit, you must get ready to depart immediately, no more procrastination!” Akmonde looked at these two in-laws of his. His temporarily separated avatar collapsed, his Exclusive Weapon flew backward, and fell into the world of Elasia.
“Grandfather!” Seeing his two grandfathers, Muria smiled. Their attitude was somewhat gentler compared to that of his Titan grandfather.
“You’ve successfully ascended to an Epic Titan? It seems the Sky Demon Secret Art has worked well! In that case, I can rest assured that Michaela used the Sky Demon Secret Art!”
The Blazing Sky God Arudiba scrutinized Muria and then nodded in satisfaction. Since Muria had successfully ascended to an Epic Titan using this secret technique, his granddaughter surely could as well.
“Not bad, but you’re still too weak at this level. You need to continue to work hard. After you meet with Michaela, prepare to continue your journey,” Dimos assessed Muria and nodded, then issued his advice as an elder.
“Is it that urgent?” Seeing these elders who seemed to be urging him in their words to continue on his way, Muria was slightly puzzled. This seemed too rushed!
“The second world, where you intend to acquire source power, is ready. This time, the world is somewhat special. You will experience the transformation of the target world together with your parents!”
“Together with my parents?” A surprised look spread across Muria’s face; such an arrangement was completely unexpected.
Because according to his plans, he intended to follow in his parents’ footsteps and go through the experience with Michaela. Instead, he was now being told to act alongside his parents.
“Is there a problem?” Dimos, seeing the unusual expression on Muria’s face, asked.
“Michaela should have also reached the Legendary Peak by now, right? For the second world, I plan to go with her!” Muria revealed his intentions.
“It’s good that you have this intention, but Michaela is still a bit short. She probably needs to wait another twenty or thirty years before she can ascend to the Legendary Peak!”
“Twenty or thirty years? That’s not long. I can wait for her here,” Muria replied without hesitation.
“No!”
“That’s unnecessary!”
As soon as Muria made his proposal, both his elders immediately rejected it.
“Why not?” Muria grew curious. Twenty or thirty years was nothing but a blink of an eye for a being of his level.
“Your parents have already set out ahead of you. You must now use the Sky Demon Secret Art to descend upon the world they have gone to. If you are late, there will be no share of the source power for you!” Dimos provided his reason.
“Such matters do not require waiting for Michaela. You know how competitive she is. If she learns that you have paused your strides because of her, you know her reaction. She will be angry at such an action, not pleased.”
“Okay, I understand,” Muria nodded, “but I don’t need to share their source power. I can be teleported to a world on my own!”
“Hahaha, you’re overthinking, Muria. Do you think your parents want to bring you along to give you a share of the benefits?”
“Isn’t that the case?” Muria inquired.
“The world you are to descend upon is a special world on the verge of ascension to a great world! Therefore, the difficulty of resolving the internal conflicts in this world is extremely high. Your parents alone are far from enough, so they have specifically requested you to go!”
