Chapter 936 - 936 924 The Silly Rich Hurry Over
Chapter 936: Chapter 924: The Silly Rich, Hurry Over! Chapter 936: Chapter 924: The Silly Rich, Hurry Over! “This native, has he discovered us?”
Inside a battleship hovering beyond the Yikong Human World, a startled inspector was looking at the blue face with a smile that appeared on the big screen.
“It’s obvious!” A middle-aged man in a military uniform walked beside the silver screen, gazing at Muria’s face, his expression thoughtful.
“Based on our translation of the Yi Kong language, I want to know what this guy was just saying,” the fleet commander ordered from his captain’s seat.
“He said, ‘Have you had your fill of looking?'” Soon, the intelligence brain translated Muria’s words.
“Indeed, he’s aware of our surveillance! This native is quite extraordinary!” the officer in front of the screen said with a slight sigh as he looked at Muria’s face.
Just as he let out that sigh, the face of Muria on the screen suddenly showed cracks, and then the screen plunged into darkness.
“The detector has been destroyed!” the officer in front of the screen exclaimed with a hint of regret.
“It doesn’t matter that it’s destroyed. We’ve obtained very valuable intelligence. It’s just a stardust detector produced on an assembly line. Obtaining such information is very good.”
“Was that scene just now recorded? Play it again!” the battleship’s commander gave an order, not only serving as the captain of this aerospace battleship but also the commander of the ground forces that had descended upon the world they named Pandora Planet.
As for why he was remotely commanding his troops from such a height above the ground, it was because he was afraid to die, of course! Although rich in resources, the Pandora World was filled with too much unknown, and there were far too many creatures that could threaten his life.
And with that order given, the screen lit up again, replaying the scenes encountered by the Yikong Human team they had recruited when they entered the Ayalei Forest.
“Pause!” As soon as the footage began, it was halted by the captain, and the paused image was of the Phantom Riders coming down from the sky to intercept.
“Do we have any records on this kind of creature in our database?” The captain pointed at the winged bird whose wingspan appeared to exceed 30 meters and asked, sensing danger from this type of creature, which seemed a bit too agile.
“Yes!” The intelligence brain of the fleet provided a fast answer, and then projected an extremely blurry image that was essentially just a vague black shadow.
“We can conclude from the information collected from the indigenous intelligent creatures that this is a winged creature they call a Phantom, only accessible to those who have conquered a Baghda!”
“Baghda! That kind of humanoid tank?” Hearing this, the fleet commander’s face showed surprise, then he waved his hand to speed up the video, stopping it at the entrance to Muria’s rudimentary Stone Palace where the team had entered.
The angle provided a clear view of the Stone Palace, where nearly thirty Phantom Riders were standing on either side of Muria. Though their Phantom companions were not by their side, their mere presence oozed an air that made it obvious—all thirty-plus were from the privileged class of the Yikong People, the Baghda!
“So how strong is this guy?” The fleet commander stared intently at Muria, lying lazily on top of a Mesha, surrounded by many Baghda, looking towards the entrance.
“Can we find any relevant information about him?” The military officer asked habitually, but the fleet commander held no hope. The intelligence brain, though connected to a vast database, was not omnipotent and did not know everything.
“By comparison, there is one related video and a power assessment report!” However, the intelligence brain gave an unexpected answer that the fleet commander had not anticipated.
“Show me everything!”
Soon, a video recorded three years ago—one of Muria throwing a spear to shoot down the detector—was played. At the same time, parts of the power assessment report from that time were also displayed.
“Missile silo? That’s an interesting codename!” After reading the report, the commander noticed the title given to the native chief and chuckled knowingly.
“However, the title doesn’t seem to quite match the chief’s power,” the fleet commander mused as he scrutinized the purple-black giant beast that Muria used as a seat on the screen.
“Linda, is there any data on this giant beast?”
“Sorry, no matching results were found, but we can conclude by inference that this is a lord-level creature, with a 90% chance of being an evolved form of a Phantom!”
“A lord-level creature!” The complexion of the fleet commander darkened. He could never forget how a ground base fared when it had encountered a lord-level creature: all conventional weapons were useless against it, and it was only after a strategic missile was used that they managed to drive it back.
Yes, even after using a strategic-level weapon, they only managed to drive it away, not kill it. After they injured the lord-level creature, it escaped, and they simply could not catch up.
…
“King Uhl, what are you doing?”
When Muria snatched a miniaturized detector brought by this team and crushed it in his hand, the leader of the team immediately stood out and questioned him.
“How dare you!” As Baghda, clad in silver armor, took a step forward, two Phantom Knights brandishing long spears stepped forward, ready to intercept him.
After Muria raised his hand, they stood in place, no longer making any excessive movements. Muria looked at Baghda, who seemed somewhat indignant, pointed at the twisted lump of scrap metal that was once the detector, and asked, “Do you know what this is?”
“Of course, it’s a tool that the Exotic people use to detect terrain. As long as it’s carried with you, it automatically records everything around and then the Exotic people can use this information to draw very detailed maps!”
“Knowing that, why did you keep it with you?” Muria, now curious, pressed Baghda for an answer.
“Why shouldn’t I carry it with me?” Baghda looked at Muria, perplexed, not understanding what could be wrong with carrying such a thing.
“…” Muria narrowed his eyes, realizing a very serious issue: only he seemed to sense the malice from the star civilization, whereas the Yi Kong people of this world thought that the civilization from beyond their sky was friendly and thus were not at all vigilant.
And this was the result of the surrounding environment: when the Yi Kong people went hunting outdoors, no matter the creature, if they did not attack first, neither would the creature, leading those Yi Kong people from beyond the Ayalei Forest to be unsuspecting toward visitors from the sky.
“How foolish!” Muria, upon realizing the problem, sighed helplessly, and his sigh made it clear to all the Yi Kong people who had come from distant lands before him.
“King Uhl, are you insulting us?” Baghda, in his silver armor, showed a look of disbelief on his face.
“No, it’s not an insult. It’s a fair assessment,” Muria shook his head, looking at the Yi Kong people who were unwittingly helping others profit and felt somewhat helpless himself.
“We…”
“Tell me, where is this Land of Divine Grace?” Muria cut off the silver-armored Baghda abruptly, “I have no interest in arguing with you over whether you are foolish. In my eyes, you are utterly foolish. Of course, I cannot blame you for that.”
“If you head west, after the sun has risen seven times, you should be able to reach the Land of Divine Grace!” Under Muria’s unimpressed gaze, silver-armored Baghda felt immense pressure and involuntarily gave the answer.
“I’m curious to ask one more question. Are there many teams like yours that go around inviting Yi Kong Tribes to the Land of Divine Grace to trade with the Exotic people from the stars?”
“…” Silver-armored Baghda clenched his lips silent, reluctant to answer, but when the hostile gazes of the Baghda on either side all turned toward him, he eventually yielded, “Many, there are many teams like ours.”
“Is this what the group of Exotic people wants? Do they want you to inform more of your kind?”
“It was their idea, but we thought it would also greatly benefit our kin, so we agreed,” replied Baghda.
“So, you followed the Exotic people’s wishes and swindled your own kind?”
“King Uhl, I don’t understand what you mean. With the trade with the Exotic people, we Yi Kong can gain great benefits. We can exchange a wildflower, a leaf, an ordinary prey, or even pick up a stone from the ground for treasures from the Exotic people.
We invited you to participate in such a beneficial trade, and yet you call us foolish. I do not understand,” Baghda questioned.
“Hahaha!” Muria burst into laughter upon hearing Baghda’s words. It seemed to him that these star civilization beings, having descended to the surface, were regarded by the Yi Kong as easy marks – the type with more money than sense, which amused him immensely.
“You said you could trade a stone or a wild plant with the Exotic people. It looks like you’ve done similar things!”
“Of course, this sturdy set of clothes I’m wearing was obtained by simply picking up a stone in our tribe and trading it with them!” Baghda proudly declared.
“A stone like this one?” Muria took out an ordinary-looking black stone, which was the Radiant Stone that could emit a dazzling glow at night.
“Yes, exactly the kind of stone you can pick up anywhere.”
