Chapter 931 - 931 919 Witness the Moment I Become King
Chapter 931: Chapter 919: Witness the Moment I Become King! Chapter 931: Chapter 919: Witness the Moment I Become King! “Roar!”
A deafening roar erupted, followed by a blue-purple feral beast that leaped toward the silver screen, its giant maw seeming to pick someone to devour. The councilors, upon witnessing this scene, all involuntarily and slightly leaned backward because they could feel the ferocious aura emanating from within the screen.
“Crack!” A crisp sound of shattering followed, and suddenly, the screen went pitch black; evidently, the detector capturing this footage had been destroyed.
“Ladies and gentlemen,” Weston smiled, “as you just saw, a common beast in the New World leapt from nearly three hundred meters off the ground and destroyed our detector.
Compared to the beasts of the New World, the ferocious animals we keep in zoos for viewing in our world are merely cute little creatures.”
“I admit, the strength of this beast is astonishing, and it can pose a threat to our army’s soldiers, but that’s about it. Under the firepower of our military, it is destined to become cannon fodder!” one councilor retorted.
“If the kind of footage you want to show us is all about various beasts destroying detectors, then you can stop right now. Having seen one is enough,” a councilor gestured dismissively.
“No, of the eight detectors that successfully landed, seven were destroyed by seven different monsters, but one was destroyed by the indigenous intelligent creatures of the New World. I think you need to see this.”
As he spoke, a display unfolded again from within the white conference table, revealing a dense green forest sea before the ruling echelon of the humans. The detector could be seen aimlessly wandering above the forest sea.
“What is this detector doing? Has its operational command system broken? Why is it aimlessly wandering here?” A woman with dark skin and full lips frowned as she watched the footage.
“Lady Duha, it is mapping the area.”
“We can skip this boring footage; there is no need for playback. Fast-forward to the main point,” a man at the center of the conference table tapped the table, expressing his impatience, even though no sound was produced.
“Well, I played this footage just to inform you all that this mapping-specific detector had already activated its optical stealth mode. Normally, creatures living under sunlight wouldn’t be able to see it.”
“Oh!”
The footage then sped up, and soon the scout seemed to have spotted something and rapidly moved in one direction. Subsequently, a vast troop appeared on the screen, a group of humanoid creatures with black hair and blue skin, tall and slender, each with a tail behind them.
These strange humanoid creatures, some riding six-legged mounts, some astride brightly patterned avian creatures, formed a considerable convoy, progressing toward a certain location.
Suddenly, the troop halted, and the leader, riding a gigantic black beast, looked up in the direction of the detector.
“Please note that at this time the detector is in stealth mode, and is more than ten kilometers away from the suspected leader.”
With this reminder, the councilors fixed their gaze on the screen. Even though they were watching a recording, they seemed keenly aware that the native leader was looking right at them—the detector had been discovered.
“What is this? Trying to take down the detector with some primitive hunting technique?” A councilor couldn’t help but jest, seeing the native leader holding a long spear, attempting to lighten the mood.
His laughter quickly stopped, though, as he saw the native leader’s arm light up, and the seemingly ordinary wooden spear in his hand turned into a spear of light, hurled with force.
In less than a second, the Glow Spear closed in rapidly, and then the footage before their eyes turned into pure whiteness. After that, the recording ended, everything stopping there.
“You’ve got to be kidding! Is this something a normal creature can do?” A councilor exclaimed, his face showing agitation. In his view, such beings should only exist in works of fantasy, yet now they were vividly present before him, causing his worldview to shatter.
“Councilor, I am sorry to say, although this scene seems fantastical, I have to tell you that it is real. I am not foolish enough to deceive all of you with a made-up film,” Weston said in a humble tone.
“I admit that we indeed underestimated the beasts of the New World as well as the primitives. They indeed possess power beyond our expectations, but that’s all there is to it.”
The chairman of the conference spoke from his seat of prominence, turning his head toward Weston, the initiator of the meeting, “What is the power assessment of this native leader’s strike?”
“That strike was equivalent to a strategic-level anti-air missile! According to our estimates, for this leader, such an attack should be considered a routine offense!”
“So are you saying that a native chief is equivalent to a walking missile silo?”
“You can understand it that way.”
“Such beings among the intelligent races of the New World, there shouldn’t be too many of them.”
“But there will not be too few either, and it is even possible that there are stronger existences. Please do not overlook one fact, that one hundred and seventy-two of our detectors were damaged for unknown reasons, which could have been caused by a powerful creature.”
“But it is also possible that it is due to the New World itself, not the kind of out-of-the-ordinary giant beasts you are talking about!” A council member couldn’t help but retort.
“Speaker Your Excellency! I personally believe that we need to consider carefully how to treat the intelligent races of the New World. If possible, I suggest not getting into conflicts with them; it would be best to mine the energy resources of the New World peacefully.”
“Do you not know how severe our world’s energy crisis is? If we are unable to secure new energy sources, our civilization will perish! Therefore, for the sake of our world, I will stop at nothing to obtain the energy of the New World, no matter the casualties, I must continue our civilization.”
The Speaker spoke resolutely, but after making these stirring remarks, he shifted his tone, “However, if it’s possible to obtain energy in a peaceful manner, of course, peace comes first, war brings death, whether for us or for the intelligent races of the New World, it is detrimental.”
“In that case, Speaker Your Excellency, I suggest that one of my mining companies take the lead as the vanguard, to send them into the New World. In this way, no matter what happens, we will have a buffer zone.”
“Agreed! Remember, peace comes first.”
“But we may be resisted by indigenous creatures and then attacked by them, so I would like to request military support.”
“Approved, I will have the military dispatch a division to join the fleet of the mining company. However, upon entering that world, they will have no official relation to our world, they will be the security personnel of your mining company!”
…
Meanwhile, in the Yikong World, Muria, unaware that his previous spear thrust had sent a shiver through the decision-makers of a star civilization, announced to his followers, “In seven days, I will go to Yunjian Peak to conquer Mesha!”
As soon as this message was released, it immediately caused a huge stir, and the reactions from the Yikong People following Muria ranged from shock to joy to admiration.
“Go inform all tribes in the vast Ayarai Forest and Baghda, to witness the moment I become king!” Muria stood atop Black Meow and issued this order to his group of followers.
At once, hundreds of Yikong People who had gathered from various tribes mounted their companions and went to convey his command to the tribes of the Ayarai Forest.
“Muria, are you really prepared to conquer Mesha now? Can’t we wait a little longer?” Batu approached Muria first, his face unable to hide his concern.
“Yes, I am prepared to conquer Mesha!” Muria nodded, the shadow of the star civilization had appeared, and he could not wait any longer. The Yikong People now needed a king, a king for change.
“But you are not yet of age, and your strength can continue to grow.” Batu tried to persuade his son to delay the conquest of Mesha.
“I have already reached my limit, I cannot become any stronger!” Muria smiled, “So it is time to conquer Mesha.”
…
The Overlord-level Creature soaring above the Ayarai Forest’s sky, Mesha, is the recognized uncrowned king, and to the powerful creatures living in the forest, the entire Ayarai Forest is its territory. And this acknowledged king resides in the most special place of the Ayarai Forest — a chain of mountains floating in the sky, Yunjian Peak.
“That’s where Mesha resides!” Below Yunjian Peak, a Baghda from another tribe pointed to the chain of mountains suspended in the sky and introduced it to Muria.
“Are those Mesha’s subjects?” Muria looked up at the vast floating range, he could see one after another of massive creatures, resembling flying dragons, weaving and circling through the mountains.
He knew these were Mesha’s offspring creatures, Phantoms. They guarded Mesha’s side like guards beside a king. If he wanted to challenge Mesha, he would first have to break through the defenses of these Phantoms.
“They are Mesha’s guardians! Lord Ule, we will escort you up first, then we will hold off these Phantoms for you so that you can face Mesha without any interference!”
