King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 907 - 907 895 Founding Ceremony

Chapter 907: Chapter 895: Founding Ceremony Chapter 907: Chapter 895: Founding Ceremony “What’s going on?” Aeolus stepped out of his dormitory, looking up at the sky. Xena Pus seemed as usual, with various Giant Dragons and flying Ferocious Beasts freely soaring between the Floating Cities.

Still, Aeolus could clearly feel the difference in Xena Pus now, the number of Giant Dragons flying in the sky had obviously increased compared to before.

“Aeolus, such a big event and you don’t know about it?” Just then, the door of the dormitory next to Aeolus’s also opened, and out stepped a Giant Dragon who gleamed with purple light in the sunlight as the scales on its armor shifted. It casually strolled out, then morphed into a suitable size, and squatted beside Aeolus, gazing at the sky with him.

“What event? I don’t know.” Even with a True Dragon squatting next to him, Aeolus remained exceptionally calm. What was this? He normally attended classes with nearly a hundred dragons in one classroom.

“The Dean is preparing to establish an Empire! He is going to formally claim the throne!” said the Amethyst Dragon with a touch of emotion. The establishment of the world’s eleventh Empire would surely have profound implications.

The ruling class of the ten Empires on the Main Continent all shared one thing in common: they all possessed a portion of Human Bloodline. However, conversely, they also bore non-human traits.

The Ten Great Empires were all subtly backed by some of the world’s powerful non-human races; they were not purely Human Empires. But on the surface, they still carried the banner of humanity.

After all, in terms of the overall strength of the various races, humans were indeed second to none in the world of Erathia. Races with average strength stronger than humans weren’t as numerous, and those more numerous than humans had potential so weak it was lamentable.

But with bloodlines of both Titan and Golden Dragon flowing in his veins, Muria had no ties whatsoever to humans. The Empire he would establish was definitely going to be a real non-human Empire, with non-humans occupying the ruling class.

The humans living in this Empire should be grateful that their future emperor possessed half of the Golden Dragon lineage; the Golden Dragons were known to be rather friendly toward humans.

If Muria were a pureblood Titan, then the lives of humans within this Empire would undoubtedly be difficult because Titans treated all creatures indiscriminately, showing no favoritism.

However, to maintain fairness to all creatures is the greatest injustice to humans because the ruling class is not human, and in many non-humans’ eyes, humans are tempting food, the preferred choice for many giant Monsters’ menu.

So humans should indeed be thankful that their emperor not only possessed the Golden Dragon Bloodline but also had a lifetime’s worth of human memories. Consequently, his governance was quite friendly towards humans.

Furthermore, the humans living on this land should be even more grateful. The chosen successor to this non-human emperor might not have a drop of human blood, but he had spent the most crucial learning phase of his life living as a human.

“So, it’s about founding a nation!” Aeolus exclaimed with a look of sudden realization upon hearing the words of the Amethyst Dragon, “That’s why I’ve been seeing more and more Giant Dragons these days!”

“Because the Dean wants to host a grand Founding Ceremony, what could be more impressive than tens of thousands of Giant Dragons forming an orderly array and flying across the sky together?” the Amethyst Dragon chuckled at his side.

“Tens of thousands of Giant Dragons flying across the sky together, indeed, it’s hard to imagine such a spectacle!” Aeolus mused along with the Amethyst Dragon’s words, feeling his heart swell with excitement. He could scarcely conceive what a scene it would be with so many powerful Giant Dragons gathered together.

“It doesn’t matter if you can’t imagine it; you’ll soon be able to see it for yourself!” The Amethyst Dragon cheerily interjected, “But I’m the unlucky one, I won’t be able to see such a sight!”

“Why won’t you be able to see it?” Aeolus immediately voiced his confusion, but in the next instant, he realized, “Oh, I understand now!”

“Because I’ll be part of the big event, of course!” The Amethyst Dragon laughed, “I’ve already received the summons! As for you, you should get a pretty good spot as a spectator!”

“I hope so!” Aeolus smiled, his expression filled with anticipation.

“What a truly unique Founding Ceremony!”

On a Floating ship cruising above in the sky, Aeolus, garbed in a sleek military uniform, stood in the captain’s quarters, murmuring in awe. Through the glass portholes, he witnessed the scene outside.

Without blue skies or white clouds, his gaze was met with various colossal floating ships, these magical steely creations radiating an icy aura, which had filled the entirety of Aeolus’s vision.

But Aeolus knew that what he was seeing was just a drop in the ocean, for he now belonged to the just-proclaimed Senapus Empire, the thirteenth Sky Fleet, the ninth Scorpion Lion Legion! And he, temporarily assuming the role of leader, was responsible for the provisional command of this floating ship fleet that boasted as many as twelve hundred vessels.

Yes, on that very day, right after Aeolus had finished conversing with the Amethyst Dragon, he received the call-up order and was also honored to participate in the Founding Ceremony.

There was so much Aeolus didn’t comprehend; on the day the Founding Ceremony officially commenced, he stayed inside this ship the whole time, then listened to the speech from Muria, who had just been officially recognized as the eleventh Emperor of the Continent, delivered from somewhere remote and unknown.

The Emperor’s speech wasn’t long; in fact, it was remarkably brief. As soon as he finished reading that speech of fewer than a thousand words, the Emperor directly commenced the core of the Founding Ceremony— the grand military parade!

Founding Ceremonies, regardless of the number of tedious rites or how lengthy the speeches, that was all superficial. Whether it be other nations or the citizens of the Empire, the military parade of the Founding Ceremony was always the most pivotal event.

The true nature of the Founding Ceremonies held by Empires was to showcase their armies to other nations, or rather, to demonstrate their muscle to the world, proclaiming their deterrent power globally.

And the way Muria chose to flex those muscles was also the most straightforward and brutal; he directly deactivated the concealment Magic Array of Xena Pus and then summoned the majority of Legions with power above the Gold Rank. These Legions, encircling the one hundred and thirty-two Floating Cities that made up Xena Pus, stood guard.

Then Xena Pus began its tour following a route that had been determined long ago, weaving through the entire Continent for a period of three months, with a scale of participation that could be deemed the largest in the history of the world and the longest in duration.

After all, even when the Orlando Empire, inheriting the abominable Dragon Bloodline, held its Founding Ceremony, it couldn’t gather one hundred thousand Giant Dragons, not even one-twentieth of that number. But now the Senapus Empire had achieved this feat, and the Giant Dragons were merely one of the main forces in the parade, not the entirety.

Around the now touring Xena Pus, there were legion after legion of Giants, each with the ability to walk on air, boasting Gold Rank strength tenfold the number of Giant Dragons.

And these were just a small fraction of the whole; Muria had also brought over the Subordinate Army that he had nurtured over the years, inherited from his grandfather.

These Battle Beasts bred for slaughter, with their fierce and imposing appearance, were displayed on the Crystal Screens that rose in every city, thanks to the Magic Technology Muria had heavily promoted, eliciting waves of amazement.

“Sigh, I thought I would have a decent seat to observe the parade, but I guess I’ll have to wait until after it’s over and look for some recorded videos to watch!”

Seated in the captain’s cabin, Aeolus let his thoughts wander. Truth be told, he was somewhat bored at the moment since the course for a floating ship was already predetermined and didn’t require any commands from him for further maneuvering.

And while he was lost in thought, he noticed from the corner of his eye a diamond-shaped crystal about half the size of a person flying in from afar. Inside it rotated a semi-transparent crystal eyeball, and beneath the larger crystal, five smaller diamond-shaped crystals were evenly distributed, using the power of Runes to support the larger one above, producing a force capable of countering gravity.

Noticing this special Crystal Eye approaching, Aeolus swiftly focused his attention, sitting upright in the captain’s seat, straightening his back, maintaining a posture of utmost diligence.

By then, the Crystal Eye had flown directly in front of Aeolus, positioning its gaze right at him. After giving him a close-up for nearly a minute, it circled around him twice for a 360-degree coverage without any blind spots, before rapidly exiting the captain’s cabin where Aeolus was located.

“Phew!” Aeolus sighed in relief as he watched the Crystal Eye fly away, fully aware of what that object was—it was a type of miniaturized Golem developed by the research facilities of Xena Pus.

This Golem possessed no combat capabilities; its sole function was to transmit everything it saw to a designated crystal display.

In other words, every action of Aeolus had just been broadcast live on the crystal screens displaying the Founding Ceremony in various cities.

“I didn’t slip up just now, did I!” Aeolus calmed himself down and, after confirming he hadn’t made any mistakes, his thoughts drifted elsewhere,

“Mom and Dad, along with my sisters, must be watching the Founding Ceremony too! With such grandeur, they have no reason to miss it. This means they definitely saw me in my moment of glory just now!”
