Chapter 848: Chapter 836: Repaying a Debt of Gratitude Chapter 848: Chapter 836: Repaying a Debt of Gratitude “Dean, we, um…”

“What are you doing? Dilly-dallying like that, hurry up and follow me,” Prince Mureya called back, gazing at the two dragons.

“Just the two of us accompanying you doesn’t seem quite right!” Golden Dragon Ist said hastily, trying to decline.

“Yeah, yeah, neither of us is even a mature dragon to be following you; it’d be a loss of face for Your Majesty!”

“So, you want me to face Green God Lian alone?”

“Green God Lian?” The two not-yet-mature dragons, upon hearing the name spoken by Mureya, showed a look of bewilderment on their faces.

“You’ve heard of the legends of the Legendary Beasts, haven’t you? Green God Lian is one of them.”

“This is a Legendary Beast?” The two dragons, looking at Green God Lian revealing its full form on the horizon, had an endless shock on their faces.

“They aren’t the original six Legendary Beasts; this one is a descendant of Green God Lian,” Mureya explained briefly, then called for them to follow, “Come on, hurry up and come with me.”

“Dean, can’t you pick some other dragons to go with?”

“Among all the giant dragons here, you two are the most outstanding. Who else can I choose but you?” Mureya said, surprised, looking at the two dragons who seemed to enjoy seeing his predicament.

“This…” Normally, Ist would be pleased to be called the most outstanding dragon by Mureya, but now Mureya was offering him a backhanded compliment, leaving him with no grounds to refuse.

In the end, the two dragons could only follow Mureya hesitantly as they gradually approached Green God Lian. However, as they neared the mythical creature, Golden Dragon felt a rich life force integrating into every part of his body, and he felt his muscles continuously tearing and growing.

This wasn’t an illusion; his body was indeed slowly growing, an utterly terrifying situation for him, a creature of the Eternal Life Beings who grew slowly!

If such notable changes were happening inside his body, then those of the Short-lived species, like humans, who came near Green God Lian, would obviously experience even more horrific mutations. Too much of anything can be a poison, and a life force too rich can be toxic for ordinary creatures.

“Green God Lian, I am…” Mureya stood in front of Green God Lian and had a brief exchange. The Legendary Beast maintained a neutral stance towards him, just like the Sea Emperor Dragon had done, impartial to either side.

For now, hoping that the Legendary Beasts like the Sea Emperor Dragon and Green God Lian would favor him as the Wind King Hawk had, or even sabotage his enemies, was out of question. That these Legendary Beasts hadn’t directly sabotaged his war of extinction was already fortunate for him.

… Having confirmed that the three awakened official Giant Beasts would not adversely affect the war he had initiated, Mureya started the war of extinction against Senapus officially on the fourth day. After he sent titans and giant dragons to eradicate most of the life within three hundred kilometers of Senapus, he then activated the Teleportation Gate, showcasing the most critical function of Xena Pus right now, teleportation.

Teleportation Arrays located on nearly every Cloud City were activated in unison that day, and legions from different continents stepped out in precise formation, even the seemingly most savage Wolf-headed Titans maintained the strictest order. Such was the influence of Mureya’s bloodline on them; maintaining order had become both their instinct and nature.

The massive Star Gate opened, and the Yin Wasteland Titans, wearing striking armor, crossed through the Teleportation Gate. They would acclimatize briefly in Xena Pus before being deployed for warfare on the Senapus Continent.

The campaign of conquest officially commenced, and then, as the war escalated in size and intensity, news of the conflict rapidly spread, and the entire world was shaken.

As Mureya had initially anticipated, Lawful Good factions from across the continents began to respond to his call to war, with countless Itinerant Paladins, Druids, and other righteous wanderers starting to pack their provisions and set out.

Without any invitations or calls from Mureya needed, this powerful backup force began to form spontaneously.

“A titan and Dragon’s offspring are leading his minions to attack the Senapus Subcontinent!” On a sea island, a tall young man with a turban tied around his head and double swords at his waist, his eyes narrowed, and a serious expression appeared on his face when he heard this report from his subordinates.

“Boss, this is the most sensational news in the world right now. It’s said that this naturally divine being had suffered a setback on the Senapus Subcontinent when he was young, and now he has returned for revenge, stronger than before.”

“Issue a summons to all pirates within my sea domain.”

“Boss, where are you planning to go? We haven’t had news of any prey worth your attention recently.”

“We’re going to Senapus to join the war!” The young man with twin blades at his waist showed a trace of excitement in his expression.

“Ah! Boss, you want to go against the Titan and Son of the Dragon? Isn’t that inappropriate? I’ve heard that there are thousands of Giant Dragons under his command—our few thousand ships wouldn’t be enough for their dragons to split among themselves.”

“Who told you I was going to oppose Prince Mureya?” The young man with blades at his waist, his aura slightly sharp, glanced over his followers, “I am going to follow His Majesty, to fight for him!”

“Follow? But we are pirates!” The emaciated, almost translucent pirate was stunned upon hearing the words of his pirate group leader, “Can we really go and fight for a being with Golden Dragon lineage?”

“His Majesty?” Another pirate noticed Solon’s way of addressing the Titan and Son of the Dragon, “Does Lord Solon know that big figure?”

“He taught me my swordsmanship!” The young man, with an aristocratic aura and sharp demeanor, fondly touched the twin blades at his waist when he heard his trusted subordinate’s question, a hint of nostalgia in his eyes.

“This…”

“If it weren’t for Prince Mureya, I would never have achieved what I have now.” A determined look shone in Solon’s eyes; he knew that if he had not fortuitously encountered the Prince in his youth, he would never have reached his current heights.

However, his current identity was somewhat of a disservice to the gift he had received from the Prince—if the Prince saw him now, disappointment would probably be evident in his eyes.

“Even so, I must go to support His Majesty. Although I am still unable to fully repay Prince Mureya for his kindness to me, I can now offer some modest help.”

“Tell all the pirates that those who wish to follow me, follow, and those who do not, are free to leave my pirate group now. They will receive a severance that matches their accomplishments.”

“Boss, don’t you plan to come back?”

“I won’t be coming back.” Solon gazed at the distant sea, the domain he had conquered over the past century; on these waters, he was the true King of Pirates.

“No, Boss, are we just going to abandon all the territories we’ve seized over the years, just like that, and leave them for our enemies?”

“All gone. Sell whatever we can, converting it quickly into usable resources.” Hearing his subordinate’s skepticism, Solon answered decisively; he had made up his mind to relinquish all his current territories and take everything he could with him.

“But…” As one of the pirate chiefs was about to say something, another gaunt individual kicked him hard in the rear, “Are you dense or something? You don’t want to climb higher yourself, and you want to drag the Boss down to stay stuck here with you?”

“What do you mean?” The kicked pirate, initially wanting to get angry, revealed a bewildered expression after hearing the remark, “Our pirate group is already recognized as the largest in the Shipwreck Sea Area, and our Boss is the famous King of the Seven Seas. Why would we give that up?”

“What, you think being a pirate is something glorious? You may be satisfied with where you are, but do you think being a pirate king is something to be proud of for the boss? Now the Boss can leverage his connection with this big figure and shed his identity as a pirate king to wash his hands clean and become a true Great Noble.”

“A noble? But didn’t the Boss say he didn’t want to go ashore to become a noble?”

“Times change! Those Kingdoms wanted to lure the Boss with a duke’s title, but the Boss would never stoop to serve those fools. The Boss looked down on them.

But now it’s different. Look at the identity of this big figure whom the Boss has a connection with. He is now the Boss’s mentor. Maybe this big figure will establish the eleventh Empire on the main roads someday. By then, the Boss, by leveraging this relationship and making some accomplishments, could become a duke in the Empire, which is a much better position than a grand duke of those Kingdoms.”

After these words, the pirates in the room fell into thought, and some of their eyes began to light up—they saw an opportunity and a bright future. Others looked lost and confused, as previously stated, they were content with their current achievements and only wanted to maintain the status quo.

Unfortunately for them, to preserve their current situation, they needed to be attached to a powerful Pirate King. Without Solon, those who did not want to leave simply could not maintain such a large operation.

At this moment, however, Solon didn’t care about the ones who chose to stay behind. He only wanted to take his followers to the Senapus Continent… Solon, the Pirate King who once roamed the sea domain of the Ionian Subcontinent with a fleet of a thousand ships, led his pirate group to vanish, leaving behind only the legend of a pirate king skilled with blades on the coastal waters of the Ionian Subcontinent.
