King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 815 - 815 804 Stop Fighting Retreat

Chapter 815: Chapter 804: Stop Fighting, Retreat! Chapter 815: Chapter 804: Stop Fighting, Retreat! After the Nine Cloud Cities appeared, a vast Angel Legion flew out of them, forming neat and organized phalanxes, surrounding the Cloud Cities. Then, following the nine Blazing Sky Gods, they cleaved through the air with great majesty toward the Evil God.

The arrival of the Blazing Sky Gods immediately relieved the pressure on the Epics Titans, but the battle was far from over, as support from the Erathia World wasn’t limited to the Blazing Sky Gods; the Dragon King was also there.

From within the Gate of the Void, a Dragon King exuding a fierce coldness that caused the Void itself to freeze glided elegantly through, heading directly towards the center of the battlefield where the intensity of the battle was at its highest. Wherever it passed, traces of frost fell. Any of the Evil God’s Followers that came into contact with these ice shards were instantly frozen and then blown into a spray of icy dust. Even if an Evil God carelessly brushed against the frost, parts of its body would be covered with ice, slowing its movements.

As one after another, the Dragon Kings appeared, the three Dragon Kings—Starshine, Mountains, and Bita—who had been slacking on the outskirts of the epic battlefield, began to fight with renewed vigor…

The number of Epics on the Erathia side swiftly caught up with the Evil God’s side, nearly erasing the disadvantage of the Titan side. The scales of victory on the battlefield began to tilt in favor of the Titans, Blazing Sky Gods, and Dragon Kings, and the Evil God’s side started to falter under the strain.

“Can anyone tell me, what is the cause of this war? What exactly are we fighting these gods from an alien realm for? Up to now, three of our own kind have perished. What are we contending for with them?”

A voice laden with rage echoed in the Void, demanding an answer from all the Evil Gods summoned by his thoughts. He still had no idea what the vast war had been about, what was worth a death match with a group of gods from another realm, who were considered world destroyers and ancient rulers just like them.

“…” Silence reigned, no Evil God responded to the powerful being’s question. In fact, apart from a very few, most of the Evil Gods had no idea why they were fighting, they merely followed their own kind into battle upon seeing them engaged, and thus, this muddled war escalated further and further.

“It is the lord of evil, Abhus, who brought these monsters here. The great lord of all things.”

“Hmm! Abhus, tell me, what are you contending with these gods for? What caused the conflict? Is what they possess worth the eternal loss of three of our kin?”

“Great lord of all things, this…” Abhus, feeling extremely embarrassed upon hearing the supreme being’s question, could not remember ever contending with this group for treasures worth an epic brawl involving almost a hundred.

“I do not know.”

“You instigated this war, and you dare to say you do not know?”

“I wasn’t contending for anything with them! Great lord of all things, I can recount the whole sequence of events leading to the conflict with them to you.”

“Speak!”

“A eon ago, I carelessly scattered a Seed of Corruption that was picked up by intelligent races from an exotic realm. The creatures there began sacrificing to me, after which I projected my power into that otherworldly domain and continued to grow and expand until not long ago.

One of the gods we are fighting discovered the Seed of Corruption I had sown and took action to eradicate it. But even after the cleansing, he was not satisfied. He followed the trail of my residual power and tracked me down, attacking me directly.

I was going to avoid the confrontation, but who would have thought he would open a Gate of the Void and pursue me through it, intending to execute me on the spot.”

“I see. This war began because you reached into the territory of a race of gods similar to us, and that’s what sparked this conflict. Abhus, are you a fool? Just for a tiny world, you have drawn upon us such powerful enemies.”

“I never sensed any trace of these beings in the worlds I corrupted; those worlds were not theirs.”

“But those are their territories without a doubt. This time, the conflict truly arose because we intruded into their domain, provoking them.”

“So, is there a need to continue this war now? I want to ask, what’s the point in waging this extensive war with these beings? To cause grave harm to us, the ancient rulers? To bring about the downfall of even more of our members?” a murky and hoarse voice rose in the Void, “Therefore, I propose a cessation of this war.”

“But, great lord of all things, at this stage, even if we wish to end it, these beings might not agree. They seem to be prepared for a protracted war. Are we supposed to admit defeat?”

“The nutrition of this World Community has been almost entirely extracted by us, and it’s time to leave and find other World Communities,” he said. “It’s perfect timing to just leave along with the flow!”

“But there are still some worlds I haven’t…”

“Hold your tongue. We don’t fight this meaningless battle. Retreat!”

Thus ended the Void War that was sparked by something seemingly trivial on a cosmic scale. Its end was as sudden as its beginning, utterly silent and unheralded.

The Epic Titans, Blazing Sky Gods, and many Dragon Kings, who had prepared for a protracted war, were surprised to find that the Evil Gods they were fighting deserted a great number of their minions and even parts of their bodies, and within a short time, all the Evil Gods had disappeared without a trace.

“Did we win this battle?” Muria asked, somewhat perplexed. The end had come too abruptly. The battle had reached its climax, but suddenly the other side, the participants in the fight, had retreated and simply stopped fighting.

“Yes, the war is over. The Evil Gods retreated voluntarily. We won.”

“The Evil Gods are really thorough, aren’t they? I searched the whole World Community and couldn’t find a trace of them, finding only low-level minions they left behind.”

“To think they would abandon such a vast World Community without a second thought, how generous of them.”

“There’s nothing to be pleased about. This World Community has been terribly ravaged by them. Every world of value has been despoiled, and who knows how long it will take to recover. Those damned Evil Gods, after ruining these worlds, simply cast them aside, no longer wanted them. With their departure, who knows which World Community will suffer next.”

A Blazing Sky God, who had traveled through this World Community, murmured his lament. The worlds he saw were sometimes too painful to behold—despair, sadness, fear, all sorts of strange atmospheres lingered over those worlds and wouldn’t dissipate. Undoubtedly, this was the work of those Evil Gods.

They treated the World Community like their playground, those worlds that had nurtured life like their toys, cruelly toying with the Intelligent Creatures within, inducing them to commit all kinds of acts against the ethics of life, unimaginable deeds.

“Though they’ve been desecrated, there are still valuable ones among them. Regardless, this is a World Community, and the resources contained within aren’t few. Let’s allocate them. All of our sides have suffered not insignificant losses in this war.”

A Dragon King laughed optimistically. He had joined the battle prepared to make a loss, but to his surprise, the group of Evil Gods they came to resist simply left, abandoning the World Community they had occupied and leaving it to them. Given the circumstances, he naturally wanted to recoup the losses he had made in this war.

During the conflict, not to mention the power he expended fighting the Evil Gods, just the minions he had used in the war, the long times he had waited, the vast energies he had spent, and the enormous resources he had invested to nurture these minions, now required replenishment after the intense battle had left him with barely a tenth of them surviving.

“Thank you both for your support. Everyone’s suffered heavy losses in this fight. It just so happens that the resources provided by this World Community will suffice for replenishment. Let’s all allocate,” he said.

The most powerful among all the Epics present, the Shiyu Dominator, spoke, first expressing his solemn gratitude to the Blazing Sky Gods and Dragon Kings who had come to aid, and then he agreed with the distribution proposed by the Gods and Kings.

Hearing the Shiyu Dominator speak, many Blazing Sky Gods and Dragon Kings secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Without the Titan’s word, there were some things they couldn’t decide. If the Titan opposed their exploiting the resources of the World Community, they would have felt embarrassed to proceed. But now, it looked like the Titan wasn’t going to stop them.

“Tsk, the Epics are starting to ‘slice the cake,’ to divide the resources of the World Community. It’s a pity I don’t have the right to participate. If I could, just picking up a bit would make me rich overnight,” lamented the Golden Dragon Mother, standing beside Muria atop the back of a Titan minion shaped like a dragon serpent, her eyes full of envy as she watched the far-off Epics beginning to negotiate the allocation among the various parties.

“Alas, if only the old man were here. Though his strength might be a bit lacking, if he had joined the battle, securing a few worlds for allocation wouldn’t have been a problem. This is an opportunity for a tremendous increase in power! Such a shame.”

“If my grandfather had come before getting a share of the worlds, how many times would he have died?” Muria grimaced upon hearing his mother’s sigh. He had seen, even the mightiest Shiyu Dominator had been injured. What fate would have befallen Dimos, who had only recently become an Epic and ascended to Dragon King less than a millennium ago, if he had come to partake in this conflict?
